   Best Movers in my Experience.

   Universal Movers recently helped me withmy latest move. I have a LOT of experience moving and these guys were by FAR the most punctual, efficient and proffetional staff Ive worked with! The guys showed up right on time, packed everything safely for the move and David was very good at supervising the job and everything was done quickly and proffessionaly! I definately know who Im going to be calling to do my next move! .

   Smooth move, really satisfied.

   We called Universal Movers on March 25th and on 29th we already had out stuff picked up. Movers came on time, didn't give us a call before, but we were waiting outside anyway with some of the boxes, fixed some stuff, it's always something to carry there and there. The staff was working really great, very fast and efficient workers, I have to say they did what they came for, but not in a rude way. In 7 hours all the furniture and boxes were in a truck ready to go. Our new apartment was still occupied till the 1st of April so they kept our stuff for couple days in the storage. Movers came on April 1st to unload. We did not see any dirt, spots or rips, no scratches on frames and statues, other furniture my wife was very afraid about. Some boxes corners were a little smashed, but it didn't do any damage for the things inside. No damage - no complaints. In conclusion we had a pleasant experience with this company, they helped us, they kept our stuff, they delivered and unloaded safely. Good job, see you next time!Scott-.

   Unbelievable !! these guys were prompt,efficient,courteous- deven , everette , and will did a tremendous job. their estimate was right on , and they could not have been any nicer.I can't say enough - they even tightened a desk that neede adjust. i'll use tham again, for sure.

   Buyer Beware! do Not Use This Company. Read The Reviews Before u Buy.

   I used THIS company twice and was disappointed in the service and charges each time. (I should have learned from first experience). First they claimed that they wouldn't move a mirror or television unless I paid them to wrap it before loading on the truck. I agreed to pay an hourly rate to wrap these items, but when I got the bill, they had in turn billed me 6 hours at that hourly rate. Secondly, they showed up with a truck that was too small, requiring 3 trips (which extended the time and cost.) They 1/2 hour to an hour late all 3 days!! Once claiming that the truck broke down. What kind of 1/2 rate company is this?? This company is unethical and in fact stole money by using an old credit card number they stored, which is illegal. They damaged the walls in my newly constructed house by banging the furniture against the walls. I plan to contact the BBB, Yelp and all consumer protection agencies to inform potential consumers and regulatory agencies of the practices of your firm, including social media. If you review the previously complaints you will realize that they have a deceitful gimmick to gouge money from consumers. I only wish I had read the reviews first.

   Please learn to assemble furniture.

   Worst moving experience ever. They don't know how to put furniture back together properly. After they moved my stuff in my new apartment, they didn't put my bed-with storage drawers back together right. They left 2 of my draweres jammed, and now I can't use them. I immediately called the supervisor after they left, and he said "I will come back tomorrow". After about 3 more instances of me calling/rescheduling with him, listening to him tell me its not urgent, and having to hear his life story about why he couldn't make it I decided to call the main line to ask if someone else could help me. The lady then said to "try again tomorrow". I gave up and decided to hire a handyman to come fix my bed. They may have the cheapest price, but that comes with a side of bs.

   Be careful with this company.

   I had a contract with this company. They started to wrap up everything and in the middle of the moving the crew leader told us that we had to pay for the plastic $270. The contract did not say anything and argued it. He reduced the price up to $170 and I said that was not reasonable at all. We actually had moving wrap and I asked to use ours and he said that the plastic was cheap just 9 bucks, that the actual cost was related with the service. Unbelievable, we were paying per crew hour!! The guy was just trying to steal money. I told them that we will pay for the extortion but I would suit them. At that moment they stopped the moving and left the house. Their boss called me later and offered to do it as agreed in the contract without extra charge but we said no. We hired other company. I strongly recommend not to use this company, in the middle of the moving, whenever you do not have option they will try to sneak extras.

   Horrible.

   I hired this company back in Sept 2013 & had a wonderful experience, so when I needed to move again I thought I knew exactly who to call. When I called they said they were having a $120 flat rate, I was thrilled. They arrived early and had my former roommate (who was not listed on the move) sign so they could start. When I got there they were already hard at work, which I thought was a good thing. Wrong. They used no packing materials for breakable items, just threw them in a box also shoved items including knives into into my laundry basket and boxes which were unmarked. due to this I've got several items damaged or broken. I was sexually harassed by the foreman, Rambo. He went so far as to write me a note. I was so uncomfortable I kept someone with me at all timed.So the next work day I called the office to report the harassment (which I told the manager I had the note to prove it and 4 witnesses), damaged and missing item. Was told by the manager he would help me when I asked for a partial refund. This went on for 3 days. I never received a refund and was blown off. I will NEVER use them again and strongly encourage others to avoid using them as well.

   Universal Moving and Storage trying to scam me.

   Universal Moving and Storage is trying to scam me!! They picked up my household items in Redmond, WA on Dec 23, 2009. Their truck and employees looked nothing like the pictures on their web site. The truck was covered with grafitti and did not have a logo or company name on it. The workers were not in uniform. They were recruited that morning to do the job. While their estimate, based on an extensive telephone inventory my wife provided, was for $3,700, the actual cost they are billing is $10,091. When the mover left, they did not provide me with ANY paper work (inventory, bill of laden, truck weight) before leaving with my goods. The driver called (2) days later to say I had 20,000 pounds and the bill would be $10,091. Looking back, the scam began when the foreman, late in the evening, informed us that he did not have room in his truck to load all of our items. He said he would "unload" some cargo that did not need to be delivered to Boston until next month, and make room for our stuff in the morning. At that point, we were had to leave town so we agreed. Two days later he called to inform us that the actual weight was 20,000 pounds and the move was going to cost $10K. Universal Moving and Storage is a predatory company that uses low ball quotes to get your precious belongings on their truck so they can extort higher moving tariffs from you. I have been in my new home for over (2) weeks now without any of my household goods. Universal is sticking to their "story" and refusing to negotiate. They actually forged my wife's signature on a couple of documents. Can you believe that! Their only offer so far is for me to: A) send them $9,000 and B) pick up, at my expense, my goods from where they are allegedly stored here in Atlanta. First, I have no intention to send them ANY money until I see my goods and second, there is absolutely NO WAY I have 20K pounds of goods. I have documents from a previous move, with a reputable national company, to prove that everything I had, and we have purged A LOT since then, weighed much less than 20K pounds. At this point I spent hundreds of dollars on items I already own but need to run a household. This unscrupulous company has made a traumatic move even more eventful for my wife and teenage children. I spent several hundred dollars in attorney fees and anticipate additional expenses because this bullying company is used to ripping people off and knows exactly how far they can push the system. I am not looking for a FREE move. I just don't want to pay for pounds they did NOT move.
