Where to get free moving boxes
Liquor stores, grocers, and Buy Nothing groups still give boxes away. They are also wet, filthy, or the wrong size. A kitchen still wants dish boxes you can buy.

What is actually free
Ask liquor stores on a Tuesday morning. Grocery banana boxes crush. Office paper boxes are gold if they are clean and have lids.
Buy Nothing, Freecycle, and building loading docks the day after someone else moved. Check for roaches. A free box that smells is not free.
What you should still buy
Dish boxes, mattress bags, and tape. A kitchen packed in grocery bags is how glass dies.
If you are paying a crew, they will still charge for packing paper. Free boxes do not cancel a survey.
