   “Lost” jewelry

   I had Luke’s Hoder movers move me from. 1 bedroom apt. In Bedford to a 1bedroom apt. In Fort Worth. I had everything boxed and labeled. I had taken all my jewelry out of my jewelry armoire as with every time I have moved and put it into smaller plastic bags then into larger ones then into a canvas bag then added to a box and wrote jewelry on it. I had over $13,000.00 worth of jewelry in the box. After the movers were done I paid them and tipped them as they had done a good job of moving what I thought was everything. However as I was unpacking I noticed the box with my jewelry in it was not here!! I was sure they must have left it in my old apartment but when I went back to clean, it was empty. I notified themovingCo. but the woman was very curt and said her movers were not thieves! She said I could do a police report. I did that. I tried several times in the next two weeks because I was shattered but they never answered their phone and sporadically sent me an email denying responsibility, accused me of leaving threatening messages (I did not) and have left me with nothing but hopelessness. If this can happen to me please know that if you hire them and you don’t have all your belongings after the move they will treat you this way! I am 77 years old and will never be able to replace my jewelry. Be forwarned!!
