   The Move from NY to Danbury, CT.

   Is it possible to be rated a 10? Yes, Eagle Van Lines gets a 10 for the move they handled for me on March 26, 2014 from Floral Park, NY to Danbury, CT. Three men arrived on time, moved beds, dressers, tables, boxes, chairs and cartons of household items all in an hour!  This is from a 30th floor apartment! They then drove 1 1/2 hours to Danbury, CT to a storage facility and uinloaded everything in 20 minutes. The movers were courteous, friendly, efficient, well mannered, nicely presented and a genuine pleasure to work with,   Is it possible to be rated a 10? YES, if you are Eagle Van Lines and you are in Eli's capable hands!  .

   Complicated move made simple.

   We were shipping a partial apartment from the East to West Coast.  The move itself was straightforward, but the timing was complicated.  We needed the movers to come quickly, then hold our items in storage, then deliver in a very narrow window.  They were able to do this perfectly. The crew was very courteous on both ends.  They came, left, and delivered when promised.  Everything arrived in very good condition.  They were helpful in taking down and setting up needed furniture pieces.  On both ends, they were in our house for approximately 2-3 hours.  They wrapped every piece of furniture in protective cloth, supplied us with several additional boxes (wardrobe boxes, etc).  The price for extra supplies was quite reasonable. The initial quote was approximately $1750.  We were charged an additional fee at the delivery end, as the steet was too narrow to recieve the wide moving van.  We were told ahead of time that this expense might happen. We packed most items ourselves ahead of time, so the move was mostly furniture and boxes.  We did not have many fragile items. I would definitely use the company again, and would recommend them to anyone w/ similar needs.

   Eagle Van Lines is a Good Moving Company.

   I am very happy with this moving company, Eagle Van Lines, Moving and storage, in Jersey city, NJ. Everything was excellent. The manager of the company came to my home and gave a quote for the moving, and explained to me all the details and gave me the correct papers. The movers who came to my APT on 2/2/2011 in North Bergen, NJ., to load my stuff were very good, and highly professional. I am very happy with their work. Actually I did not expect so much care they gave in packing my furniture, and they were carefull in handling my boxes. I moved everything from my home in NJ to PA. The delivery persons who came to Monroeville, PA also were very good and professional. They arranged and assembled all the furniture properly. The loading and delivery was very punctual as we discussed. Nothing was damage or lost in transportation. I always remember this experience with happiness. Thanking you.    Broke items and did not reply.

   The company appeared professional. The customer service lady and movers appeared nice. They arrived as planned. However, when things go wrong they don't bother even to reply. They broke my budha statue and damaged the base of my bar stool, making it improper for use. They didn't care about apologizing or compensating for the damage. I got no reply of any kind. There is no point to move with a company that will break your stuff and take no responsibility for it.

   Unprofessional and their crew doesn't wear masks

   I witnessed a crew from this company yell at staff at a condominium and a resident who was using the loading dock with them. They also flaunted mask wearing protocols of the building. You should find another moving company to do business with.

   Military Move MD to TX

   A shipping company that cannot locate your belongings in transit is a bit frightening. Repeatedly offering unachievable delivery dates is infuriating. If you want to avoid unnecessary frustration and the headache of an empty home full of annoyed family members, just hire someone else.

   Military move from fort belvoir to MD.

   It has been almost a full year and I still can't believe these people are still in business. I'm also still wondering where my chair is. We were scheduled to have our inventory done and the person didn't even show. No call. No apology. Just didn't show. We were then told that our items would be in storage for a week or two after packing. We adjusted our plans to accommodate. When they showed up ( a day late) they said that it would only take a day to pack and that they would deliver the next day. This was news to us! For a local move we were enthused. That was until we saw how they had packed our things. Our pictures off the walls were just thrown in a box. Not wrapped (yes glass frames just chunked). I found shoes that were all in one area broken up between boxes. The amount of balled up paper (I'm assuming so that they can get the most $$ by adding weight to the boxes) was rediculous! When I saw them bringing our our antique chairs I saw they were scuffed on the sides. This was clearly from the move and them not wrapping them but just shoving them wherever they thought they could tetris them in the truck. I insisted that they compensate or repair. The main guy said he had a great woodworker and could get it fixed and would personally deliver it back to us. That was end of June 2018.. I still am waiting for that chair. He never contacted us and wouldn't return calls. They also lied on the paperwork submitted to travel and finance. They never weighed our load. They just "counted square footage" and "estimated" poundage. Needless to say we fought it and didn't have to pay out of pocket for any perceived overage. The whole situation was a horrific situation with multiple items being broken and leaving me an emotional mess for how our things were treated. I understand you have to be organized when someone else is moving your items, but pulling pictures off the walls (some were kids artwork) and just throwing it into a crumpled pile underneath heavy items made me angry and I felt like it was pure disrespect and carlessness. We made sure to take care of the loving crew with an endless supply of coffee, lunch, water, and Gatorade. We even took personal orders for a run to Dunkin to make sure they felt appreciated and tipped one guy at the beginning. To top it off, they didn't even wrap the oil lamp with kerosene in it and it leaked all over the other items in the box. Just a terrible experience all around.

   I used Eagle Van Lines for a military move overseas. My shipment is two months late and counting. There is only one guy who handles military moves, and no one else at the company can assist. He and everyone else there promised to look into the delay and email the details. Nothing. The few times that they do answer the phone, they just give you the runaround. The guy has told me twice that my shipment had arrived in the area, only to find out it has been shipped to the WRONG COUNTRY!! Do not use these idiots for anything. There is absolutely no accountability.

   Worst move ever.

   We are a State Department family, so have moved with a number of companies. This was by far the worst. Eagle handled our storage shipment. Their packing service was extremely unprofessional. They didn't wrap most items, just threw them into boxes. I found a desk in a 4.5 cubic meter box (in pieces); I found other pieces of that desk wrapped up in different locations. One of my Turkish carpets was balled up and jammed in the bottom of another box. (Not rolled, balled.) On delivery, the dispatcher forgot to schedule our 9000 lb shipment delivery for when returned from overseas (and didn't answer our or our travel techs emails confirming the time---so all of us still believed we were scheduled for that date and time). Because this was a State Department contract, she eventually rescheduled for the same day, supposedly between 1 and 2 pm. At 3:00 they said they would be there in half an hour. They finally showed up at 4:00. Unloading took hours. They didn't put anything down to protect our hardwood floors, and we had to tell them not to slide heavy tables across it. They were supposed to reassemble all the furniture they took apart, but as the evening wore on, they were clearly tired. Only one mover continued to work, and he periodically looked at his relaxing colleagues and shook his head and said, "lazy!" We finally just reassembled the bed ourselves.

    Scheduled to arrive between 1-3pm, called me at 3:30 to say they would be an hour more and in lieu of an apology told me to "just take it easy". Quote was for $396 based on exact itemized list for three movers for $100 an hour. Took their time loading the truck (three hours for a one bedroom nyc size apartment) and then refused to unload the truck until we paid $1135, insisting we were underquoted (not my problem) and that they were $100 per hour per person (Cleary not the case per contract). They re-taped over all my already taped boxes and charged $137 for that. Also, contract stated the balance of fees (I paid $100 up front) could be put on a credit card but refused anything but cash or would keep our belongings. Several valuable items were broken with their lack of care and they were as rude as they were slow. I will be reporting them to the BBB.
