    DO NOT HIRE THEM

(If I could give negative stars, I would.) DO NOT hire Mayzlin Relocation. This was by far the worst customer service experience of my life. I hired Mayzlin to move my belongings from Raleigh, NC to Fort Collins, CO. My items were picked up on May 17, and I specifically explained that I was starting a brand-new job on June 1 and needed my scrubs, work supplies, and personal belongings delivered on time. Instead, my belongings were not delivered until June 12—nearly four weeks after pickup. I had an AirTag hidden in one of my boxes and watched my entire shipment sit in a warehouse in South Carolina for roughly two weeks. During that time, Mayzlin was nearly impossible to contact. We spent about 10 days calling and emailing with little to no response. When we finally got through, we were repeatedly told our shipment would leave "shortly." Eventually, a representative admitted there had been a mistake with my move date and that my belongings were being held because they didn't have enough shipments heading west to justify sending a truck. Nobody could provide a pickup date, delivery date, or any real answers. Representatives blamed each other, and nobody seemed interested in solving the problem. My shipment finally left the warehouse on June 1—days later than I had already been promised—and I was told delivery would take just 3-4 days. Instead, I spent another nine days unable to get updates while watching my belongings travel around the country via my AirTag. At one point, I was literally pleading and crying on the phone just trying to get someone to tell me where my possessions were and when they would arrive. Because of these delays, I had already started my new job and spent over two weeks without my personal belongings. I was forced to purchase basic necessities just to get by while waiting for my shipment. I eventually filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because Mayzlin would not respond directly to us. Ironically, they responded to the BBB but provided inaccurate information, claiming my shipment had already been picked up and delivered when it was still sitting in the warehouse. The complaint had to be reopened. When my belongings finally arrived on June 12, the nightmare still wasn't over. Despite being nearly four weeks late, Mayzlin refused to provide any compensation for the financial hardship, inconvenience, and stress they caused. Instead, they charged me an additional $300 stair fee upon delivery. When I questioned the charge given the circumstances, the movers refused to continue unloading until it was paid. My final bill ended up being over $1,200 higher than the original quote, bringing the total cost of the move to nearly $5,000. To make matters worse, some of my belongings arrived damaged, and the company refused to compensate me for those damages as well. The delays also created additional expenses. I had to purchase replacement essentials while waiting for my belongings, and my mother had to buy a last-minute flight to Colorado to accept delivery because I was at work and could not take additional time off from my new job. This company cost me money, time, stress, and countless hours chasing updates. What should have been an exciting move and career transition turned into a month-long nightmare. Save yourself the frustration and hire literally anyone else.

Stay Far Far Away from this Company

3 weeks before our move with Mayzlin Relocation we found another moving company. The company makes it very difficult to cancel, with the contract stating that "Customer must verify that the cancellation notice has been received for a complete refund of prepaid deposits" which means once you email asking to cancel, they need to call you back and confirm verbally, AND they need to send you a "refund form" you need to sign and send back. They said it would take 7-10 business days. I spoke to Joseph who would not let up and asked over and over again why we went with another company stating "we are entitled to know why" and that "it is odd to cancel". He then sent in a text message: "Thought you said you were going to let us know who you went with. Hopefully wasn't some scam broker like [customer name] was talking to originally". When I texted back and just asked for the confirmation he texted back "You got the verbal commitment 3 different times now, stop acting like we're trying to keep your money I can guarantee you we're not. Now if you don't mind letting us know who you went with that would be great." When I thanked him for putting it in writing he said via text "You bet! now are you going to tell us who you miraculously chose over us 3 weeks later...." I've never encountered such unprofessionalism and rudeness from a company, moving or otherwise. Why we're cancelling and who we're going with and when it's well within their timeline is none of their business and to hold our money hostage or try to keep us on the phone until we answer is absolutely ridiculous. The company reeks of entitlement and desperation. And knows nothing about customer service. Stay far far away from this company.

    Terrible services fake reviews

This company is a scam and lies about everything. Employees use fake names. Ask for proof of ID before booking. Along with asking why they have over 900 fake reviews. This company is up to something shady make sure to do your homework.

    BEWARE: USE ANYONE ELSE

This company keeps changing it's name every year to run from the bad reviews following in its wake. Everything wrong with a moving service that needs to be put out of its misery. We're on Day 22 of an interstate move and there is no communication from the Mayzlin family operation, which is one class action lawsuit or ICE raid from a communal cell in prison or the gulag. Watch this woman's experience and know this is a "good" outcome compared to simply never receiving...anything: https://www.tiktok.com/@samantha_mathews/video/7385521878946925870 Wish I'd have seen that before. Now the only thing I can do is take legal action against them and post my experience for others to learn by.

    Avoid at all costs

Worst movers ever. Items poorly packed and damaged. A valuable coffee table was damaged to to improper packing after being warned it was fragile. They claimed it was already damaged which was a lie. Lingerie used as packing material for garden tools. Loudspeakers packed with bathroom material. Dozens of silk ties packed next to shoe polish cans with any wrapping. NONE of the boxes were labelled so it was a mystery where to put them. Seven months later and I am still finding missing items in strange places. Parts for furniture and book shelves (the pins that hold the shelves up were lost). An expensive turntable was packed on its side damaging it. I could not reach anyone at the company afterward to complain, they ghosted me. Thieves.

    Worse than a scam

The worst moving company I have ever worked with. They prey on customers and lie with promises of delivery dates, direct routes, and having their own trucks ready to go. When looking for a mover I told them the most important thing was having a delivery date of December 12th. They said not a problem as long as I moved my pickup date up 48 hours, which I agreed to. Today is the 12th and all of my stuff is still in Austin Texas. For reference I am moving to Florida. At least a 3 day trip with DOT regulations. Their customer service operator, John, gets off on being rude to customers. Just repeats the same “we are waiting for a truck” and won’t escalate to a supervisor, and will hang up on you at the slightest bit of resistance. This company simply cannot be trusted if you need a reliable and stress free move. I can almost guarantee my things will be damaged. Make sure to leave reviews everywhere, including Google, BBB, and Verified Movers and anywhere else you can find. Donnie in sales is a commission based liar, John is an unhelpful person who should be nowhere near customer service, and the owners are cowards who won’t make things right with customers. Best advice to this company is to shut down. This ain’t the career path for yall.

    Terrible Experience

Dealing with this company was a nightmare from day of pickup. We went with this company because of their lower price and a free month of storage. I ignored a number of tiny red flags and paid for it big time. Beginning with pickup.. The truck arrived 4 hours late. The guys were shady to say the least. After two separate estimates we were told our stuff wouldn’t fit in the area of the truck they marked. To use the remainder of the truck we were quoted $3k. We ended up picking up lots of cigarette butts left behind and renting a U-Haul trailer and moving the rest of our stuff the 650 miles ourselves. Our stuff was picked up on May 22nd. As soon as we found our new house on June 7th we requested a delivery on June 27th. We went over the one month free storage by 5 days. We received an invoice for $871 for additional month. We were promised that once we were ready for delivery we’d receive our stuff between 1-7 days. We let them know 3 weeks ahead that we’d be ready starting June 27th. The customer service lady was extremely rude any time I asked for delivery estimate. After two weeks of waiting I made a complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. That day they finally gave us an estimated drop off date. We waited another 8 days and received our stuff on July 17th. On drop off date we were charged additional $375 for extra flight of stairs and our road being too narrow for the truck to drive up the driveway. Lots of stuff arrived badly damaged and I’m so exhausted from this process I don’t have the energy to file claims right now. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all cost.

    Mayzlin Long Distance move review

This review is for a long-distance move made between McKinney Texas and Copley Ohio. The move was to relocate my 85 year-old mother from TX to OH. The process began with a call with Jack W., our move coordinator. Jack was helpful during our initial call with him and two more calls while we were communicating about the items that would be part of the move. We then spoke to our QA representative, David O’Green, to finalize the items that would be picked up in Texas. We set our ‘first available move-in date” as the 22nd of June. The crew that picked up our items in Texas arrived on June 16th to load up the truck. The crew had 3 men and did a good job. Once the pick-up was completed in TX, myself, my wife, and my mother drove back to MD (where my wife and I live). While reading through the move information again, we saw that the 3-14 day delivery window didn’t start on July 16th, but rather it started on our stated “first available move-in date”, the 22nd of June. I was curious how the 3-14 day window was counted as I wanted to know what the 14th day was to set my and my mother’s expectations. I called the customer service number. The representative was very short with me in the conversation, as if I was wasting his time. He gave me an incorrect date (he stated a date 14 days beyond the date I was talking to him on). Over the next days, I called our move coordinator, David, twice and left messages with the nature of my call – simply “what was the 14th day?” I also sent an email on 6/25 asking for a reply to my question. I also emailed customer service on 7/2. I received a reply that didn’t answer my question, so I sent another email on 7/3. No reply. I emailed again on 7/7. Never got a reply. I left at least 2 voice mails with customer service, with no return calls. I also tried to contact our move coordinator, Jack W. I emailed him on 7/3 with no reply. On 7/8 I called his telephone line and he answered. He was not in the office, as he was dealing with a family member in the hospital. We spoke briefly and he said he’d contact me the following day. I sent him an email after talking to him, with a gentle reminder to reach out to me the following day. I never heard back from him. I emailed info@mayzlinrelocation.com about my question. No reply. I received an email from Customer Service on 7/9 with a copy of the invoice showing the remaining balance. The total was wrong. The payment I made when the crew picked up the load in McKinney on June 16th was not reflected. I replied to the email stating that the payment made at pickup was not reflected. Customer service replied that they would get with accounting and get back to me. They did, and the invoice was resent with a correct total due listed. Saturday, July 12th, the crew came to deliver my mom’s belongings. 26 days after the initial pickup and 20 days after the ‘first available move-in date”. The lead presented me the total due invoice. It has the same wrong total as the invoice that customer service had sent to me on 7/9. I explained to the lead and he contacted Mayzlin. After 20 minutes, we were all on the same page. The Ohio team unloaded and did a good job. In summary, Mayzlin employees, prior to my mom’s belongings being picked up in TX, were courteous, attentive, and seemed to care about our satisfaction. Once Mayzlin had all my mother’s possessions loaded into a truck, we were completely ignored. Since no one, and I mean no one, returned our calls or replied to emails (except for an automated reply from customer service), my wife and I were left in the dark with all my mother’s possessions in limbo. My 85 year-old mother was sickened with distraught that she’d never see her belongings again. Customer service at Mayzlin, as far as our move is concerned, did not exist once Mayzlin had our property. Moving across country is a stressful endeavor. Mayzlin, with their apparent disregard for any decent level of customer service, turned up the level of stress that we experienced.

    Broken agreements

On moving day, the crew showed up almost four hours late. I was sitting in my half-packed apartment wondering if they were going to show up. When they finally arrived, they looked unprepared—no uniforms, no proper equipment—and it felt like they had been thrown together last minute. The foreman barely spoke to me and started rushing his crew to pack things up without checking what needed extra care.

Trust me this company is terrible !!

Moving with this company was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I honestly wish I had done more research before trusting them with my belongings. First of all, their customer service team was completely unhelpful. I called multiple times to confirm my booking and make sure everything was in order, but every time I spoke to someone, I got a different answer. One representative told me my move wasn’t in their system, which caused me to panic because I’d already put down a deposit! It wasn’t until I demanded to speak to a manager that they found my reservation—no apology, no explanation.
