Rude
My furniture was treated like garbage. They shoved my couch into the truck with no protective covering, and I physically watched them drop one of my dining chairs onto the pavement. When I asked them to be more careful, the lead guy just shrugged and said, It happens. Excuse me? My dining set isn’t cheap, and the last thing I expected was to have it treated like a pile of junk.

Absolutely the Worst Move Ever
it was, without a doubt, the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. Despite receiving a quote, I was ultimately charged over $1,700 more than originally agreed upon. One of the major issues occurred when your team asked if an 18-wheeler could fit into my storage area. I confirmed that it could. However, instead of a standard truck, you sent a 75-foot extended semi that clearly could not access the location. As a result, I was forced to pay an additional $1,000 for a shuttle service. When I raised the issue, I was told to “look at the contract”—completely disregarding the verbal assurances made by your sales representative, Donnie, who had assured me there would be no problem. To make matters worse, my furniture was essentially held hostage until I paid the unexpected fees. This experience felt deceptive and predatory. I urge future customers to read every word of the fine print and not trust what your sales team promises. Based on my experience, it’s clear their priority is closing the deal—not delivering honest service.

Horrible
Before I paid, communication was excellent. After I paid, it completely disappeared. I called for an update yesterday (01/25/25)and received none. I called again today(01/26/25), only to be told, “You called yesterday. There are no updates, and we’ll call you when there is.” That’s unacceptable. I have medication in one of the boxes, which was accidentally packed in the wrong one that’s on me. However, I have an AirTag in the box, and it hasn’t moved in nine days. How is my shipment supposed to arrive within the promised 7 to 10 days when it hasn’t even left the initial location? (they picked up 01/14/2025) This entire process has been beyond frustrating. I could’ve gone with another service, but I chose this company because I spoke with a representative who assured me they could deliver within the timeframe. I even explained that my previous carrier wouldn’t be available until the 26th, and they guaranteed they could deliver faster yet here we are. Update: After an entire month of waiting, my items were finally delivered on the 11th of February far beyond the promised timeframe. And yet, the nightmare didn’t end there. • As the delivery worker moved my elliptical off the truck, he broke it right in front of me. • My TV stand arrived broken. • When I carried my TV upstairs, I noticed the box was caved in, and the screen was completely shattered. I pointed this out immediately, and the response? “Call customer service.” So I did. Now, I’m stuck in a claims queue, currently at number 202 I started at 278 and it can take up to 90 days just for an update. To make matters worse, they charge $75 per flight of stairs and have the nerve to define a flight as just seven stairs. Final Thoughts: This was, without a doubt, the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. Not only was I blatantly lied to about the timeframe, but my belongings arrived damaged or completely broken. This company made big promises to get my business and then delivered nothing but delays, damage, and disappointment. Would I ever recommend this company? Absolutely not. Update: On March 24, 2025, I was informed that my claim for my damaged TV was denied because I had packed the TV myself. However, I followed the company’s instructions precisely—I purchased the recommended TV box and used foam and bubble wrap for protection. Upon delivery, the mover caused additional damage by putting a hole in my wall with a mechanical dolly. The TV box itself was bent, as if it had been struck by the corner of another box, indicating that the damage occurred due to mishandling during transport. Regardless of who packed the TV, it is evident that the damage was caused by the careless handling of my belongings. Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. The company’s lack of care and accountability, along with the excessive charges, made this the worst moving experience I have ever had.

Beware of Mayzlin Moving – A Deceptive Operation
Before trusting this company with your belongings, please read this review carefully. I strongly believe this is not even a legitimate moving service but more of a marketing scam. Expect Lies at Every Step Everyone in this company will lie to you. The first liar you’ll encounter is the sales representative (mine was Chris Gibson—his name deserves to be known). Here are some of the false promises you’ll hear: • "Our price is much lower than the competition." – In reality, you’ll end up paying more. • "Your delivery will take 2-7 days." – Expect at least two weeks. • "Negative reviews exist because we discontinued Yelp, Google, etc. subscription" – No, the reviews exist because this company is terrible. • "We will handle your belongings professionally." – Some of your stuff will be damaged. • "We can transport motorcycles." – They can’t. How They Scam You Their trick is to severely underestimate your volume and lure you in with a fake discount. 1. The Initial Estimate: o On my first call, Chris estimated my move at 400 cubic feet (cf). o Other moving companies, using the same information, quoted 700-800 cf. o When I pointed this out, Chris adjusted the volume slightly and tweaked the discount, still keeping the price lower than competitors. I foolishly stayed with them. 2. The QA Video Call – Where They Trap You: o A few days before the move, you’ll have a video call with a different representative (mine was David O’Green). o During this call, they drastically increase the volume estimate, claiming they "miscalculated" before. o Mayzlin charges $7.50 per cf (far higher than the industry standard of $4-5 per cf). o The revised volume will match what other companies originally quoted, but now, because of their inflated per-cubic-foot rate, your total cost skyrockets. o At this stage, you have no leverage—your only option is to cancel and scramble for another mover at the last minute. 3. Your Discount Disappears: o The discount promised by the salesperson? It’s not guaranteed. o The QA rep might claim it's volume-dependent, meaning now your "discount" is different. o I tried reasoning with him—don’t bother, you’re already screwed. 4. Beware of Unsigned Quotes: o Every revised quote needs your signature. o If you forget to sign one, it doesn’t exist, and the QA rep won’t even discuss it. Pickup and Delivery – The Real Test My initial impression of the pickup crew was positive—they wrapped everything well. But don’t judge too soon. Here’s what happens behind the scenes: • Your items go on a box truck first, then to a local warehouse, and finally get loaded onto an 18-wheeler. • It took over a week from pickup before my belongings even left the origin. • The lack of common sense in stacking items is shocking: o Heavy boxes and bags placed on top of fragile items, causing damage. o DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MOTORCYCLE. They ran a ratchet strap through my rear wheel, damaging the valve. My motorcycle arrived with a flat tire, costing me $300 to fix. The only person I have no complaints about is the final delivery driver—he offloaded everything professionally, and nothing got damaged at that stage. Final Verdict – Stay Away! If you’re considering Mayzlin Moving, don’t. • If you’re before the QA call, cancel immediately, demand your deposit back, and find another company. • If you’ve already passed the QA call, brace yourself and be sure to leave reviews everywhere you can. Good luck with your move!

Worst Moving Company EVER
We’ve been working with Mayzlin since November. We moved from Montana to Maryland and initially they were very awesome but we were supposed to move into our new home January 1st, so yesterday. Come to find out our stuff is in their storage in Idaho Falls. We are in Maryland. We confirmed for dispatch on December 6th via text for move in January 2nd. We’ve called the Florida customer service several times and have been met with “Michelle” every time who has been exceptionally rude and downright vulgar. She argues with my fiancé and when I got involved she said she won’t speak to me and when I called her out on it she called me dumb. She won’t provide any update on our stuff and cuts us off anytime we try to explain anything. We are now also somehow responsible for a $400 storage fee because the free 30 days ended on December 15th yet we confirmed for dispatch on the 6th meaning our stuff should’ve been on the way, not in storage. There was zero communication from Mayzlin we only found this out because we got our house keys sooner and wanted to move in a few days early. Come to find out we might not be seeing it till February. Michelle claims they are not in breech of contract but they are and the texts prove it. We verified dispatch on the 6th of December so 30 days from then is when delivery should happen NOT 30 days from January 2nd when we said we would be moving in. Because where does it make sense to deliver AFTER someone says they need to be moved in BY the 2nd? We have a 1 year old we cannot live without furniture and his necessary things. This has been SO unprofessional and the worst experience I have ever everrrrrr had with a moving company. I have filed a complaint with the BBB since they are accredited and I also have been in touch with the Attorney General of North Carolina. Do not work with this company

They promised delivery window and price, for which we agreed. But deliver was not only 1 WEEK LATE, but they charged me $500 MORE even thought nothing about delivery had changed and they new all details in advance. They have the worst customer service. This company is a SCUM! Don't repeat my mistake and save yourself time, money and stress. Do NOT recommend at all!!!

DO NOT HIRE MAYZLIN
UPDATE: We got a call last week on Friday that our things were being loaded onto a truck. Truck 642, and that we could track it live. Well, said truck was in Colorado for 3 days this last week. Fine, it’s taking its time….not fine. I checked the tracking this morning and the truck has mysteriously vanished from the tracker. Where could it be? We have no clue! Customer service has not called with updates AGAIN, not even even to let us know if there was a breakdown. Mayzlin had our things in storage for 2 weeks before even thinking before even thinking of fulfilling there side of the contract. We’re now coming up on them having our things for 30 days with no clue when we will actually get them. Again DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Remember when I asked to speak to a manager? Yeah, never got a call. I seriously doubt anyone will help us from this company. Mayzlin relocation has been an absolute nightmare to work with. They started off great, were very communicative and helpful. The SECOND our things were loaded onto the delivery truck they became impossible to get ahold of. We were told our earliest delivery date would be no problem, that the 4-21 day from pick up was from the day of drop off. Ok great, that’s not too bad. Or so we thought. They have since changed that statement to our first available delivery date. So now we’re going off of our delivery date NOT the pickup which was originally promised? They have now effectively pushed our delivery date back because we said we were available? How does that make any sense? Every person I have spoken to in their customer service department is completely clueless and rude. They have no idea what is going on. They do not know where their trucks are, they do not know a time frame for trucks to arrive. I asked to speak to a manager who might know more information, they were like “maybe they’ll get back to you, when they have time”….excuse me?? They have made our moving process incredibly inconvenient and stressful. If you are looking to hire movers DO NOT hire Mayzlin.
Response from Mayzlin Relocation LLC
Dear Samantha, we sincerely apologize for the distress and inconvenience you have experienced during your move with Mayzlin Relocation. Your feedback is extremely important to us, and we want to address your concerns thoroughly. Delivery Time and Communication: We regret that the tracking system for your shipment has been unreliable and that our communication has not met your expectations. The delivery times are structured around consolidating orders to offer affordable rates. This sometimes means longer delivery windows. According to our Terms and Conditions, the delivery time frame begins from the First Available Delivery Date (FADD), which is when you indicated you would be ready to receive your items. This helps us manage logistics efficiently, but we apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused. Customer Service Experience: It is disappointing to hear about your negative interactions with our customer service team. We strive to provide courteous and helpful support, and your experience does not reflect our standards. We will address this internally to ensure better service in the future.

Awful First Experience
I am very frustrated about my first experience with Mayzlin. I was notified 3 days after my stuff was picked up that there is a delay and my stuff is estimated to arrive 14 days after the pick-up. This is extremely frustrating since I arranged this relocation with a deposit over a month in advance and was told by sales rep Chris Gibson that the trip from Massachusetts to Florida typically takes 3-5 business days. Despite the terms and conditions mentioning 3-14 days for delivery, I would have appreciated transparency ahead of time that the truck is “delayed” to wait for another customer’s pick-up date to consolidate orders. THIS IS POOR PLANNING ON THE COMPANY’s PART AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMMUNICATED BEFORE my pick-up. While the company is saving money doing this, I am losing money while I pay for a hotel each night and don’t have access to my medications on the truck. Customer service is NOT helpful – I have requested a supervisor’s info to discuss this concern to make things right, but they still have not provided me this info. I was also overcharged on space used in the truck as I was advised to “over-estimate” my belongings beforehand so that the final price would be reduced upon the final measurement if less space was used. The movers did not demonstrate a measurement at the end, despite minimizing my belongings to save money. PLEASE do yourself a favor and spend a few hundred dollars more and go with a different company. I am extremely dissatisfied and hope this review saves others from dealing with this hassle from Mayzlin Relocation.
Response from Mayzlin Relocation LLC
Dear Nelson, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you encountered during your move. Firstly, we understand your concerns regarding the delivery delay. Our goal is to provide affordable pricing by consolidating orders, which sometimes results in longer delivery times. However, we acknowledge that better communication about these potential delays is essential. We regret that you were not informed ahead of time about the possibility of waiting for another customer’s pick-up to consolidate shipments. This oversight is certainly not in line with the level of service we strive to provide. Regarding the delivery schedule, the timeframe mentioned in our Terms and Conditions (3-14 days for your route) is designed to offer a realistic window for delivery. The First Available Delivery Date (FADD) is the first day you are available to receive your items, and from this date, the delivery window is calculated. While we aim to meet these timelines, unexpected delays can occur, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. FYI, your stuff is loaded and is on the way to Florida. The driver will contact you 24hrs prior his arrival. Your specific mention of needing access to medications highlights a critical issue, and we deeply regret any distress this situation has caused. For future reference, we recommend keeping essential items such as medications with you to avoid such situations. We appreciate your feedback and will work on improving our communication and planning processes to prevent such occurrences in the future. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please contact our customer service team directly. We are here to help and hope to find a satisfactory resolution for you.

Absolutely horrible experience—DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Every TV was broken despite being wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in TV boxes with corner protectors. It seemed like they either dropped them or ran something through the boxes. They lost the parts to my bed and didn’t reassemble the desk in the office, which was mostly broken by them. Many irreplaceable items, such as my grandmother’s oil and vinegar holders from Italy, were broken, along with a lot of sports memorabilia. I paid extra for the pool table to be moved, but they refused to place it where I wanted. When I tried to contact customer service, I received no response. Three of my Joss pool cues and the case are missing—stolen, in my opinion. After contacting customer service again, I still received no reply a week later. I was charged double the initial estimate. While I understood I might have had more items than originally estimated, seeing how my belongings were mishandled and damaged made me furious. I emailed customer service (Chris) again, asking what would be done, but got no response. The total cost for the move was nearly $15,000, and they either broke or lost $8,000 worth of my belongings. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is absolutely horrible and untrustworthy. Additionally, the driver asked if he left his tool bag, which I haven’t seen—it might be with the parts to my bed or with my stolen pool cues.

Customer service.
Terrible customer service. Furniture not delivered when promised. Was told it would be picked up in Texas and delivered to NC in 5-7 days (“immediate delivery”). Still waiting. Customer service said my furniture is sitting in a warehouse in Texas and cannot tell me when it will be delivered. Will not connect me to a manager.
