   Always recommendable.

   I used Velocity moving & storage and they were great movers. Al through the move, they have been fast, sincere and careful toward our belongings. I would not differ with the other reviewers. My move went also like them, very satisfactory. They did skillfully everything. They hoisted our big couches, table, cabinets and other items through narrow staircase and awkward turning. The Velocity movers brought a long twenty six fit truck to accommodate our all furniture together. There was sufficient room on the truck to place our all items safely. I had no issue from the start to end of moving. I am recommending this mover for experiencing a great move like I achieved.

   Professional crews.

   Velocity movers have been the best movers I ever hired. The guys made my moving day stress free. With their professional and courteous attitude they were able to make us happy. In a chilly winter day four velocity crews came to load our belongings. They worked hard and thorough. Not a single item left to be wrapped. We had tons of mirrored and fragile furniture. Nothing was wrecked or bumped. No complaints from my knowledge. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

   Velocity moving & storage did an excellent job for my brother. Before he got married, we all family members lived together. After the marriage, the couple became very busy with their respective service and due to official purpose they needed to move to New Jersey. They requested me to arrange a mover. Searching on internet and reading positive reviews, I hired Velocity movers. My brother got married only one year ago. So they didn’t have so many things to relocate. Velocity offered me very reasonable rate, it was so economical that there is no way to bargain with the quote. As my brother, Andrew, and his wife were dependent on me on that matter, I decided to go with Velocity. They arrived on time and finished packing and loading process at utmost devotion. The mover didn’t let any item lost or damage. It was a very good move. My brother hailed me for employing Velocity moving & storage.

   International Van Lines/Velocity moving company

   After my extremely disappointing move job with VELOCITY from New York to Texas in which Velocity destroyed my furniture's and lost several boxes of memories. I wrote to BBB about my experience with Velocity. Velocity responded to BBB claiming they would reimburse me $500.I never received this $500. I contacted the Velocity office several times but the manager Oliver is always out or in a meeting. DO NOT USE VELOCITY THEY ARE NO GOOD. ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THERE IS NO ONE TO COMMUNICATE WITH. THE DOT NEED TO GET INVOLVE. IF THERE WAS A ZERO RATING THIS WOULD BE MY RATING OF THEM.

   International Van Lines/Velocity moving company

   DO NOT USE MOVING COMPANY VELOCITY/INTERNATIONAL VAN LINES. From Brooklyn, NY to Frisco, Texas Most of the my belongings DAMAGED or LOST. I hired International Van Lines for the move job, total charge would be $5752.01 to be paid in three installments. $1972 paid on May 12th to Gloria Sanabria IVL. On day of pick up June 11th Velocity moving showed up, International Van Line rep never informed me of the Velocity moving company. Velocity movers requested payment which was paid in the amount of $1890 via check. On June 22 delivery at destination Texas arrived the Velocity driver requesting the final payment of $1890.01 which was paid by check. After unloading two beds, base and air chambers destroyed, T V stand and computer desk destroyed. At lease five boxes missing. Their insurance ANTHEM CLAIM MANAGEMENT LLC is offering $210 for my loss. I had to purchased two new beds costing $13600 and TV stand $180.

   Nightmare movers

   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Please read all the reviews before you even considering this company. I moved long distance New York to Denver. For this move I choose a highly rated company to pack contents and fully unpack and dispose of trash. My job was then passed on to Velocity after I had given a sizable deposit to the other company who passed the job on. Then the nightmare began. The truck arrived late, I was never informed the they would not meet the date. When I called the said, “didn’t you read the fine print we have 21 days.” Well I gusss 21 days would have been better than 29/30 days without furniture and clothes. So get this, they hire people to unpack and unload from CRAIGSLIST!!!!!!! REALLY CRAIGSLIST!!!!!! So promptly on the first day one of the Craigslist workers robs the cab of the truck, steals the drivers wallet and stashes my custom mattress. Naturally the police had to be called in. So, almost everything piece of furniture had scratches or was broken, the Chinese medicine cabinet had its hinges ripped off, antique mint condition singer sewing machine is broken and cracked in multiple locations, expensise glass broken, ceramic art broken and a very large porcelain lamp from grandmother shattered and the list goes on. If you want to hire a top notch cross country moving company don’t even consider this one just look under cross country movers on CRAIGSLIST.

   Half my stuff is missing

   Booked a NYC to Seattle move with international van lines that was subcontracted to Velocity. On moving day we were up charged $3000 despite having a thorough estimate from international van lines. Initially our moving consultant told us our belongings should arrive close to our first available date given that we were giving them over a month for transit. When our first available delivery date came we called and were told they had no timeframe for delivery. Ultimately our stuff arrived close to the end of our 21 day window. In fact we found out it hadn’t left New York until well over a month after it was packed. Where was it all this time? We were told storage was not required for our move. The delivery company insisted on coming on a Saturday despite the fact that we informed them many times we had a wedding to attend (our only out of town obligation this month). My wife was forced to miss the wedding to accept delivery. They were unable to work with us on this and then charged us another $850 for a shuttle. Ultimately when our stuff arrived over 20 boxes were missing as was a mattress, end table, portions of our bed frame, our peloton bike, ski equipment, and this list goes on. This is a huge fraction of our items! How do these go missing? We still have nothing to sit on and no bed to sleep on. They also insisted on full payment in all cash. So now we’ve payed almost double our initial estimate for delivery of roughly half our belongings close to 3 weeks after we expected. My only hope is that we can recoup the cost of these items plus damages. I will be contacting a lawyer. Do not use this company.

   Storage.

   I had the worst experience with Velocity Moving and Storage. I went to retrieve my items and all my pictures, my mother's portrait oil painting, my chairs and bar stools were missing. They claim they are not responsible for my belongings. How can that be possible when my belongings were stored in there facility and my bill was PAID IN FULL when I moved my property out of the storage facility. I called and spoke with the Manager who refused to do a diligent search for my property. I was left feeling that they LITERALLY STOLE MY PROPERTY. I NEVER HEARD OF A COMPANY UNWILLING TO DO A DILIGENT SEARCH FOR A LOYAL CUSTOMER.

   Out of State Move THEIR SERVICE IS THE WORST! THEY HELD ONTO MY BELONGINGS FOR 17 DAYS! THEY LIED TO ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY ABOUT DELIVERY. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NASTY.     October 16, 2014. Well, this review will be a multipart series, as I will give the account of my continually adventurous experience with Velocity Moving and Storage. To begin, though, is my last email received by the company's frontman, Oliver, that sums up the journey I've taken with this crew, a reply to a photo I sent of my dress shirts, rolled into a ball and ruined and stuffed into a box next to electronic equipment.  I'll post links to these photos soon. "Jeffrey, We are sorry for that. However, we can't confirm weather this box was boxed by us or was already packed prior. In any event, as mentioned before you can file a claim for your damaged goods." There you have it. Other secret movers stealthily opened taped boxes while in transit. Always happens, right?So there you go. I'll post correspondences later regarding the 100 yo antique table broken in their possession and a living room chair, water damaged and mildewed and ruined in their possession as well. Oliver was kind enough to forward me a link to address this: mymoveclaim.com, along with the always-litigious-sounding suggestion that I may have staged the terrible packing and myself or others destroyed furniture and clothing. That's what happens at Velocity. Obviously in hiring movers, we have to accept our role in the theatre of it all: Movers give an estimate w/out other costs. We sign contracts unexplained, etc. Then things get pricier as the process envelopes. It happens. With every moving company. Some are worse than others, of course. Others shouldn't be in business. I'll write more about this experience and share it with as many people as possible, which is a gift of social media.But I'm still sorting through my stuff over here. This company was hired by an associate of mine to pack and move my possessions from NY to LA. I mention this because on several occasions where I had challenging communications with Oliver he would say that if I didn't like the terms I can come to his facility in the Bronx and get my stuff. Then I would say "Oliver, you're holding my possessions hostage." This would upset Oliver, and he would tell me that that is a lie. I would explain that as I am 3,000 miles away from the Bronx, picking up my stuff from him would be impossible and, thus, he is holding my possessions hostage. I would further explain that asking nearly impossible terms in retrieving something is the mainstay of hostage taking. Oliver disagrees so perhaps he's right. He wasn't holding my stuff hostage, after all. The most important part of sharing my experience is I am staring right now at ruined furniture and possessions that weren't so seconds before Velocity Moving and Storage came to pack and ship them.
