This was our 9th move in 40 years, and it was by far the smoothest. From quoting the job (Trevor Turvey) to the actual move (our lead man was Ryan), the effort and communication was excellent. Melinda Foust was the liaison between the office and Ryan, and she answered every call promptly and accurately. The movers treated our possessions as if they were their own, and we couldn't be more appreciative for the attention they gave to every last detail.

I paid $3900 to move from one side of town to the other. The packers were great, the movers were wonderful and couldn't have been nicer guys. The office staff was fine as well and worked with me since the mortgage company had a stall at the very end. Everything was great, however. I was told they'd come and get the last of the boxes, to take my time unpacking and not to worry. I have tried to get them to come and get the balance of the boxes and I've been told they can't since they are so busy. I was also told I could put them in my car and drop them off. If I could move them I would have by now instead of waiting for service. They left their moving clothes and had no issues coming to get them a week later. But now I'm stuck with boxes I can't get out of my house. Lousy customer service as far as I'm concerned for my $ 3900.

The folks at Boerman Moving & Storage were amazing with our cross-country move! They truly took all the stress & worry out of the move for us through the entire process. We researched various long-distance moving companies ahead of time & went with them because on top of their excellent customer service right from the start, their quote came in the lowest compared to others, their turn-around time for delivery was the quickest AND our stuff stayed on the same truck with the same driver from start to finish. We packed just about everything ourselves & had them wrap our furniture, box up the mattress, box the glass shelves from our TV stand & also box some rather large framed art work. Everything arrived intact, without any issues! A special shout-out to all the individuals there who assisted us personally for their top-notch friendly customer service: Frank Ortiz - was our Move Coordinator & assisted us on the phone, keeping in contact with us during the process. Great guy! Nick Ariano - was the Sales Rep who came to our house to do the survey of our household goods/furniture & estimate the cost. Really nice guy! Carlos - was our driver from start to finish via Bekins Van Lines. He was excellent & kept us updated via calls & texts during the transport. He truly is a wonderful guy! On the IL side - the moving team Boerman contracted to load up our stuff did a fantastic job & I'm sorry I don't have their names..I was working that day & the Hubs was home for the move-out & he couldn't recall their names at this point, but reported they worked very efficiently, cleaned up everything along the way & were a nice bunch of guys. They laid down plastic to protect the carpet on their paths in & out, too. On the WA side - the moving team Boerman contracted for the unload was amazing! I was there for the move-in, so I remember their names: Lee, Lupe & George. These 3 guys did a phenomenal job & worked incredibly well as a team. As with the team on the IL side, they worked quickly, but safely, and cleaned up as they went. They also laid down plastic to protect the carpet along the main pathways in our new place. These 3 guys along with the driver were so incredibly nice & we enjoyed talking to them while they were working (but they never stopped working! I don't know how any of them could carry on a conversation while doing so much physical labor, but not only did they do so, they did it with big smiles & great attitudes!). They even gave us some tips on places to shop & local restaurants to try. We were sad to see them & the driver leave..we kind of wanted to take them out for a round of beers when it was all done! We highly recommend the team at Boerman Moving & Storage in Woodridge, IL for your next move!

We used these movers for a local move (from Bolingbrook, IL to Elgin, IL) in 2014. They did a great job! It was a quick and overwhelmingly successful move -- loaded up and moved out of Bolingbrook house, traveled across Chicagoland, and into Elgin house in one day with no damage. Cross country move from Elgin, IL to Colorado with 2 months of storage between loading and delivering was unsatisfactory. The loading in Illinois was fine, and were told our household goods were being loaded into crates which would then be transferred to climate-controlled storage, and then when we were ready to receive it in Colorado they would load the crates onto trucks and drive to Colorado and deliver to our new home. Upon unloading in Colorado it became apparent that our belongings were unpacked from the initial crates and rammed into space smaller than needed with resulting broken chairs, crushed boxes (about half of our boxes were crushed), and most annoying, EVERYTHING that could be taken apart was taken apart, and only about half of it was reassembled at our new house. We are left with a box of "parts" that we have no idea what they go to because we did not take things apart! Incredibly, they took the beater bar off the bottom of our upright vacuum (what space would that save?), and put it back on backwards -- so when I used it at my new house the belt kept falling off until I realized what had happened! I would not use them again for a cross-country move.

I had the pleasure of receiving an in person quote from Mike Boerman and actually changed moving companies as the full replacement cost of insurance was 66% lower saving me over $1000.00. But the story does not end there. The crew of 6 that Mike sent were hard workers, took extreme care of my furniture and both homes, were patient, fun and even provided design tips. While Cole was the lead for the move and was outside directing items on and off the truck, Branden took a lead role and I really enjoyed working with him. All of the guys were polite and easy going. My thanks to Branden, Ryan, Aaron, Marco, Matt and Cole for a job well done. I highly recommend this crew!! They made what easily could have been a stressful day into an enjoyable day.
