I used Hood moving for 2 different local moves and both times I had great service and everything went very smoothly. Each time, the guys that came were friendly and polite. My items were completely packed prior to them arriving so they were able to get my boxes and furniture loaded up and moved efficiently and with great care. They started their time as soon as I signed the paper at the start of the move and ended their time when I signed off to say we were finished. I was charged exactly what I was quoted in both cases and nothing was damaged or missing. If I need movers again, I will not hesitate to call them.

I would like to commend Hood Moving on a job well done! We had a rather larger than normal move from Dallas, Texas and I'mI was amazed at the job these guys done. They were very prompt, on time, professional and very friendly, as you would expect from southern Tennessee. They were everything I expected and so much more. Their pricing was very reasonable, in fact, it was about $100 cheaper than the next one that we called. I would recommend them 100x over and would like to thank Stay and his crew for treating us like family and being the professionals they were.

Hello, I wanted to say that I have been in the moving business for over 20 years and 14 of those years spent with Hood as the only long-distance driver, moving nationwide as we are a very small and personal company. This allows me to coordinate our moves from start to finish, including driving and any customer issues. I have worked with the same crews in the Chattanooga area for many years allowing me to oversee the complete process as well as manage the movers/packers on the job. We pride ourselves on being on time,honest, knowledgeable, and hardworking as well as a competitive rate for the job. I enjoy working with Hood as he treats me as fair as all of our customers. He provides all of the best equipment for getting the job done. We ARE NOT brokers and handle 100% of the job in-house. If your move begins in the Chattanooga region, then I will personally come out and estimate the job myself. So simply give us a call, I cant wait to meet you. Thanks for your interest. Don’t waste your time even trying with this company. They low ball with a estimate and then charge a extra fee for everything. They were told everything I had when I got the quote. Was NEVER told that I would have all these extra fees. They wanted $200 to move my deep freezer and $200 to move my dresser. My adjustable bed frame also $200 fee. My quote was $347 and they also didn’t include the $89 fee for gas in the quote. I paid almost $500 and I refused the extra “fees”. I now have to pay ANOTHER COMPANY to move the stuff that they tried to charge me extra for since they refused to move it without the fees. My $347 estimate would have been $1100 just for moving a 600sq ft house. Even paying another company will be cheaper then these crooks. Do yourself a favor and AVOID them. The owner was contacted and was no help at all.
