MoveAmerica (Railvan) is not a moving company. MoveAmerica (Railvan) is a moving broker. When I choose them for my move, I was never informed me of this very important detail. Me, being the fool that I am, didn’t think twice and gave them money. The moving teams that showed up to my home were unprofessional and unidentifiable. They ended up causing $2,251.24 in damages, specifically, $1,200 in damage to the wood floor in my rental home that I have to pay to my landlord. After further research, I found the only thing Move America did was go to hireahelper.com, find the cheapest mover and then upcharge their service. Since they did this, I was unable to file any kind of claim with hireahelper.com directly. When I attempted to file a claim directly with Move America, they were not helpful in any way and kept trying to make me go away. There was one point where they told me that I needed to contact the movers directly when Move America didn’t even give me any of their info. I have a year’s worth of emails back and forth from this company which I will be making public. There’s nothing professional about them. They run their “business” out of their home(s). They just make phone calls on your behalf. When issues come up, they don’t want to help, they just want to collect money. If you need a cross country move like I needed, do yourself a favor and cut this middleman out. Call Estes and HireAHelper directly. Save yourself money and a huge headache and go to their sources directly. Howard is going to respond to this review claiming how they tried to help, claiming how I refused to file a claim, claiming how I was a difficult customer, claiming I’m just trying to scam them for a free move. It’s all lies. I was duped by a professional and legal scam artist. These horrible reviews for this company has are for a reason. Please don’t fall for what I did and look anywhere else for your moving needs.
