This is not an exaggeration!!! A few days ago I called muscular moving men to inquire about having someone come to my residence, to move a mattress from my first floor to my second floor bedroom.
I talked to a gentleman and he was really nice. He told me they sure could come by and in fact they had a crew in the area, so more than likely, they would just charge me for 1 hour of labor and no other fees. I said, that's great as long as the number is low enough, you know, I can have them come by just to move this mattress.
He transferred me to a woman named Anna Vasquez, and she talks to me more about the service that I need and how much it was gonna cost. She told me in order to get the one hour pricing that I would have to be flexible with my time frame. I assured her that I was working from home so it was not gonna be an issue. She said, that's great so the cost is going to be 180.00 for 2 workers 1 hour. She said that she sent over an estimate which I did not receive but I did not think that it was going to be an issue because she had already quoted the the cost of the service over the phone. She asked me for 50.00 deposit which I paid.
About 4 hours later, two workers showed up at my condo to move the mattress. They were at my place, olive fifteen minutes and they were done. Not five minutes later, I got a ping on my phone that I got an email. It was an invoice and a receipt from muscular moving men. I clicked on it and saw how much they had charged my card. 466.00!!!!! That is absolutely not an exaggeration. They charged me for a truck.Mileage and fuel costs just to move a mattress.That was already inside my condo. I cannot believe that there are still people that do such shady business like this. And i'm just trying to make people aware that if you call this company, more than likely, they're going to overcharge you for services. Buyer beware!
