I posted a move on Uship.com .A company from Sherwood Park, Alberta called Pushing K.M.S headed up by two people - Jose Ryder and Don William - they took on my moving job across Canada.
I sent a deposit of $2,500.00 to them by e-transfer. The day they were to pick up all of my belongings they called and said they had mechanical problems - they told us not to worry, they had hired another company to pick up our stuff and Pushing K.M.S would get it from the other mover right away and transport as originally planned. The other company picked up our stuff but Pushing K.M.S never showed up to get our stuff.
We contacted Pushing again the next day and they told us they were having financial difficulties and could not do our job.
We finally negotiated a deal with the other moving company after they had put our stuff in storage for 2 months -we ended up paying another $8,400.00.
All together the move cost us $10,900.00 instead of the $5,000.00 originally agreed to by Pushing K.M.S.
Oh by the way, the night that Pushing K.M.S phoned and said they were having mechanical problems they asked for another $1,000.00 to help them out - luckily we did not pay them!
