On Saturday, 9.3.22, I paid a caregiver $100 to watch my Mom while I went to meet Stress Free Movers, who were to move a single chair four miles to another house. Not only did they string me along for hours, they finally said they weren't coming. They apologized and agreed to do it for free on Labor Day. I again hired a caregiver, this time for $150 since it was a holiday. They proceeded to call after they should have been there to say they really could not do it for free but would give me a $10 discount, even though I was now out $250 and still had no chair. When I said I would do it for another $25 off, they ghosted me entirely. I lost the money and am about to lose the chair. DO NOT HIRE THEM, THEY ARE UNRELIABLE AND DISHONEST. They should change their name to STRESSFUL MOVERS. I am reporting to the Illinois Commerce Commision, Better Business Bureau and local Chamber of Commerce so that they are not allowed to breach contracts with others as well.

I am extremely disappointed by the service I received from this company. We agreed on a move date one week in advance, and they asked for a 2-hour arrival window. After waiting for 1.5 hours, I called Ella, the individual who answers the phone, for an estimated ETA. She said they wouldn't arrive for at least one hour after our agreed upon window. Apparently, they had another job that was only supposed to be "6 pieces of furniture" but agreed to move out that individual's entire house/apartment upon arrival. They did all of this knowing that they had other moves scheduled for that day. I asked her why they would agree to do this when they had other customers waiting. She kept repeating, "What do you want me to do?" She said it rather nonchalantly as if this is something that happens frequently. Turns out they lied again. When I called back ~30 minutes after our conversation, she said they were still moving the other client and would not be arriving until much later than expected, if at all. Ultimately, I had to find a new moving company on a late Saturday afternoon. They were fantastic. The most important thing when hiring movers is dependability and honesty. Hire movers that actually show up. Not these ones.

This was overall a great experience. The movers were on time, friendly, and communicative. They also took great care to wrap everything thoroughly
