Vancouver moving cost September 2026
A local 2-bedroom in Vancouver, as of September 2026, sits in a C$1,500–C$3,000 research range. Rain, hills, and condo rules do more work than a bedroom count.

Planning range, not a bid. Research fallback compiled in September 2026 from published industry tables and public quote examples. Haulest does not yet have a large enough first-party sample to publish a median. A phone survey still wins.
On the ground
Vancouver rain is not a vibe. It is wet cardboard and a slip hazard on a wood stair. Many buildings in downtown and Yaletown book the elevator in two-hour blocks. Hills in North Vancouver and some East Van streets will not take a long truck, so the last stretch is a shuttle. Moves to Vancouver Island add a ferry booking and a weather window. British Columbia has no federal mover licence and no provincial mover licence that works like FMCSA. You can still ask for a safety-fitness / NSC number, insurance, and a name that matches the van. GST/HST treatment belongs on the invoice. If the quote is cash-only and the crew is a different company than the website, stop.
A North Shore or Kitsilano street that cannot take a 26-foot box gets a shuttle, then a ferry conversation if the destination is the Island.
