   Moving Disaster

   I moved a number of months ago from Beachwood, Ohio in a one bedroom apartment to Aurora, Ohio. It took 12 hours with 2 major incidents to report. The crew was a third party deal due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. I was not aware of this until they showed up in an unmarked truck. They were slovenly, swore constantly, and reeked of smoke. They began at 9 a.m. and finished around 8 p.m. There was a stop at a residence along the way to pick up an item and it took 2-1/2 hours to do that (the stop was about 5 miles away to pick up one item). When they finally arrived at the final destination, they managed to track in dirt and mud and ripped up some stairs I had just had completely redone. That damage was over $400 to repair. I later found out at the stop they had made for me they put the dining room table out over a balcony on the second floor and damaged the roof overhang which I am still waiting on a bill for. I disputed the invoice and was told they would not charge me for the overtime involved. The overtime involved was because the crew they sent me didn't know what the heck they were doing. I offered a settlement, the response was "full amount". Now I am in Collections with an interest fee added. I had used this business before but never again. I just moved two of our offices and have one to go. I would have used them in a heartbeat but after this, I will steer clear of them and recommend anyone else do the same. What a shame.
