   Do not trust quote.

   Was quoted around £300 for a 2-3 hour morning job, and charged £588!! No explanation for the huge increase (job took within quoted time) - tried emailing to enquire, and email doesn't work. Job was very professional but do not believe your quote!

   Do not use - charge was more than double the quote

   How I wish I had read these reviews first. They quoted one price. Came to pre-pack and when questioned said all was as expected. Carried out the move the following day. Final charge was more than double the quote. Complete robbery and the guy on the phone has the service skills of a brick.

   No invoice and price doubled

   They take money out of your account without invoicing. The charge was more than double the quote. Customer service provided on the phone is rude verging on obnoxious. Do not use this firm. Even after doing the pre-packing the day before the move when questioned on if everything was as expected there was no indication that they were going to charge £3300 instead of £1600

   Really Rude Initial Phone Call

   Just a terrible start tbh. Felt very arrogant. The attitude was very much, I have a lot of business. At no point do I do a sight visit. You are the one with the problem. Such a shame as I had, had this firm verbally recommended by a colleague. I suspect the removers themselves are excellent but the initial conversation for me meant I did not want to see £1000s of pounds worth of money go to this firm. Luckily (for them) they seemed very confident in their business model. I wish them well. Incredibly happy to recommend all three other firms who have come, or are coming to do a site visit for this job. Sadly, they have lost this current move and any future moves from me. I will be actively not recommending them to my colleagues. They really need to consider their way of speaking to potential customers. I wouldn't wish anyone else to be spoken to in this way.

   Why advertise Crate Hire? when you dont.

   Called this company - I got a quote it was too high and over my budget. I went on to enquire about crate hire as advertised on website - Stephan offered to give me the telephone of a company that did hire crates as they did not hire crates. I could tell he was not happy that I did not give him the removal work, and when he went on to give me some lecture, I interrupted and asked for the telephone number. Stephan refused to give me the number until I said "please" I told him I'd see him later and ended the call. My experience was unpleasant and I feel I had a lucky escape from what could have been nightmare service and zero customer service. bad communication and a waste of time.

   Dreadful Removal Company.

   Barans Removals based in Twickenham, London. DO NOT use them. Steve Baran, the man you liaise with on the telephone, is a very rude bully. He promises one thing and denies what he's said. The price always becomes much more than he has suggested. (No fixed price, only charges by the hour). Charges from their base unlike some firms who charge, if it's by the hour, from the pick up address and finish at the delivery address. Also his prices are high per hour. He is extremely rude and bullying. He pretends he's voted the top most popular removal company but it has to be a pretence. We have moved many times and have never never had such bad treatment. When the goods came out of store, 2 things were damaged and the removal men (who are quite nice) agreed that there was damage. When I rang Steve Baran immediately the next day to get a claim form, he shouted at me and bullied me and told me there was no damage and wouldn't listen to me. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.
