   Excellent Removals Service

   In all our dealings with LMS, we found them to be friendly and thoroughly professional. Special thanks to Carly in the office for all her help and reassurance when confirmation of our moving date was right down to the wire! On the day the move was conducted speedily and efficiently by a team that obviously knew what they were doing. A great job all round and will definitely recommend their services to others.

   Excellent removal team

   I didn't have much time to arrange a removals company, I'd previously contacted a couple of companies to get quotes but the first sale fell through. However, Carly from LMS kept in touch to check our circumstances. When we were able to book a removal company, we only had a week until moving day. Carly responded to my email with a phone call to discuss the quote previous given and check we were happy. She explained everything and what would happen on the day. She took payment over the phone and followed with the receipt via email. On the day, Gordon, Sam and Alan arrived just after 9am and began working immediately. Gordon checked what was to be taken by them and made sure we were happy everything had been removed from the house. All were chatty and friendly, and put us at ease on the day. Once we arrived at the new house, Gordon made sure we were ready for items to be brought into the house and before anything, they put a protecting sheet over all the carpets - it was a very rain day! They also took out old rugs we packed in their lorry first to put down in the hallway. They were very thorough and fast at removing our things and then unloading and placing at the other end. Gordon got us to check the lorry at the end of the day, to make sure we're we're happy everything had been removed. We are really grateful for the service they all provided.

   100% recommend

   100% recommend Lee and his team. They laid floor protector through our whole house and were happy to put the boxes in the rooms I needed. Even up 2 flights if stairs to the 3rd floor! The guys worked hard to move our 4 lorries of belongings, were really polite and very careful with our precious items. I'll be recommending them far and wide.

   Outstanding service!

   We used Leicester Movers & Storers for quite a big move from Leicestershire to Nottinghamshire. The team arrived on time, were friendly and polite, and emptied our house, outbuildings and garden quickly and efficiently. Everything was handled with care. There was then a long wait for completion, and the team were patient even though we ended up completing very late in the day. They then very quickly emptied the two lorries despite difficult access on a dead end lane, putting everything in the correct place in our new home. Now everything is unpacked we have found that not a single thing was broken or damaged, despite my dodgy packing skills! We honestly can't recommend this company enough - the service was superb from start to finish and they were all really lovely guys. 11 out of 10!

   Incredibly poor standards

   Moved with LMS in September 2025. Whilst Carly was helpful in arranging boxes prior to moving, the actual cost of move was in no way justified by the standards of packing and moving. We packed a lot of our clothing and soft items from drawers ourselves; items in drawers packed by LMS were haphazardly thrown into boxes and items from various different rooms were combined in boxes without labelling making unpacking a nightmare. Kitchenware and fragile items were very poorly packed and we had several breakages which were shared with LMS via email. I have kept a box of broken items. I was told they would look into it and get back but no one has gotten back re:compensation for breakages. In addition, my bedding, sheets and cushions were used to ‘wrap’ and buffer glass ornaments rather than LMS providing adequate wrapping for fragile items. Bedding and linen were arbitrarily taken out of drawers and used to wrap ornaments and glassware resulting in an unpacking nightmare. I fail to understand how a moving company can operate without adequate packing material and resort to using the clients linen, bedding and ornamental cushions to package delicate and fragile glass items. Heavy boxes with items for a media room on top floor were dumped in the garage and left for us to carry up. Some of our duvets, pillows and bedding that we still needed to use to sleep the night before the move were boxed up, not labelled and left in the garage for us to unearth a few days after moving which meant we could not rest properly the night before the move or following the move. Furniture was damaged in transit; this company does not wrap sofas and furniture in protective blankets despite assurances that they are bar trained and comply to rigorous standards. Walls and banisters were damaged and had to be filled in and repainted. An additional sum had to be paid because we received keys a mere 30 minutes after 4pm due to delays from the solicitors. Despite this, the standard of unpacking was ‘dump and go’. I have moved thrice across the last 15 years and this was by far the most inadequate provision despite the service not coming in cheap and being comparable in price to Britannia or some of the bigger companies. In my opinion, it would be better to opt for the bigger companies rather than paying a large amount to LMS for a moving experience that did not meet the high standards they claim. We paid for a FULL PACKING service, packed a lot of clothing and personal items ourselves. Clothes from wardrobes were packed in wardrobe boxes by LMS but a considerable amount of hanging items were thrown in at the bottom of the wardrobe boxes rather than being hung properly. Left with an arm injury due to having to move boxes not placed where they were supposed to be placed.
