   Professional, prompt, pleasant to work with, fixed price and moved everything we prepared to move. Nothing damaged and moved some really big items. They kept a bright attitude even though we suffered through a 8-10inch snow fall. These guys are great! I've moved many times and I highly recommend their services. They're a no frills, down to earth crew that give you your money's worth. I'm a real customer and not a paid review like you sometimes get on Amazon.

   My move was awesome!

   I was really worried because I hate moving and previously had a bad experience, but these guys made it so easy, even helping me box things.  I even had a huge basketball net that they were able to move!  They were quick and helpful and went over and above what I asked of them! I'd highly recommend them!!  You should feel confident about choosing them.

   I recently hired Lucidos Discount Movers to move my house.  They were without a doubt one of the best decisions I have made.  They were VERY reasonable in price, they were on time and they cared for every item as if it was their own.  I called them on short notice and the day after a holiday and they were very accommodating.  I would recommend them to everyone I know.  .

   Great Movers.

   I had a big move and they did a fabulous job. They took apart and reassembled all my things the proper way to prevent damages. They were very professional and polite. And they give me a very good price. I would recommend them to anyone looking to move and do it at a good price. They came early packed up my whole house in one day Early the next morning they where there and ready to rock. I have moved a couple of times but it was never this fast and easy.

   Great Service! Highly recommended!

   I needed a refrigerator moved from someone's house in Warren, MI to mine in Madison Heights, MI. Steve showed up, had all the equipment, for getting it up and down stairs into his truck, through my porch and into my house. All quick, timely, courteous, and professional. Maneuvered it through doorways and over kitchen floors with no bumps or scratches, etc., which my wife greatly appreciated. Highly recommended for big or small jobs! Jim.

   AVOID at all costs.

   I booked Lucido's to move my house on the 13th of October. I had used them once before and had a good experience so I was willing to use them again. However, they caused an unbelievable amount of damage to our basement steps and floors at the end of the day. We didn't notice right away because we were packing other things at the same time but when we went back to the house the next day to pack more, we realized what they actually did. My husband and I reached out to Steve, the owner, about it and he deferred us to Joe, which was one of the guys that moved us. He came over, took some pictures, and then left. Later that night I got a text from Steve saying that there is no way it could have been their fault because if it was, we would have noticed it on the day of and we wouldn't have paid them and tipped them. He also said that it must have been caused by something we did after they left but they moved out all of the big heavy things that could have done that, so his comment makes no sense. He also would have no clue what was left over because he wasn't there to see it. Had I noticed it immediately, I would have said something but I also assumed that they would have come forward if they messed something up. I didn't realize I had to babysit two grown men. My issue isn't so much that they caused damage; it's that they tried to hide it and now deny it.They also moved incredibly slow throughout the whole day. It definitely should not have taken as long as it did. However, I would have been willing to over look that if they hadn't caused all of the damage. I should also add that when I tried to discuss this all with Steve he responded as if he were actually there on the day of the move. He claimed that we hired other movers after the fact to move our appliances (which did not happen - the appliances stayed at the house) and that we had a "watchful eye" on his two guys (also not true. though I wish it was so we could have caught it) but we were actually in another room packing up. He also claimed that because we waited so long to reach out, it must not have been them because otherwise we would have noticed it sooner. First of all, this is a lame argument on his part but even still, I explained to him that we did not go back to the house until the next day so we didn't have a chance to see it. However, when I did go back the next day, I absolutely did see it. However, I wanted my husband to also see it before I did anything and it took a couple days for him to make it over there, hence our delay in reaching out to Lucido's. Had I known I had to supervise and inspect our house prior to leaving, I would have. But I didn't think that was necessary with what was supposed to be a reputable company. I'm sure Steve will respond and try to poke holes in my complaint but let's be honest, would I really waste my time with this if it weren't true? I'm already busy enough unpacking and getting settled in a new house. The only reason I'm using my valuable time for this is because it's 100% true and I want to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake.

   I am sorry but the bottom line is we will not be held responsible for damage that we did not cause. Lauren continues to insinuate that she and her husband were at a remote location or in another room when my movers were doing a wonderful job of moving her goods out of the basement. We moved nearly one truckload of goods out of her basement under Lauren and her husband’s watchful eyes. They were selecting the goods that would be going with us and which they would be taking themselves at a later date. Like most smart customers this couple watched carefully to see if we did any damage to furnishings or walls and of course they spotted none or my men would not have been paid in full at the end of the day and tipped with a very generous $20 tip. Left behind were a refrigerator a washer and a dryer that Lauren indicated they would be taking themselves. In addition there were lots and lots of boxes and shelving units. The damage that Lauren contends we caused would have been SCREAMING FOR ATTENTION the day of the move had we caused it. Yet we were not made aware of said damages until FULLY FOUR DAYS after we had completed this wonderful move. Clearly and sadly this damage was caused by other less qualified movers who removed the balance of goods from her basement which included the refrigerator washer and dryer. (Joe was informed they would be moving those items themselves.) Once again and despite her misrepresentations of the facts I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lauren for calling Lucidos discount moving, this second time, and we wish her and her family many blessings in their lovely new home.    If I could give ZERO stars I would. BEWARE!! Do not hire this company! Very poor workmanship and work ethic! Damaged furniture then denied it! Refused to return calls or texts. Very unprofessional!

   Praying for Angela and her family through this Lenten season. I will respond appropriately after Easter. Thank you for your patience. Easter has come, He is risen!! Now to address my friend Angela : So many untruths in this complaint but let me address them one by one. 1) customer indicates her calls were not returned: in fact no calls were made. All communication was through texts and I returned all messages through texts. I have screenshot copies of the text record of communications in this matter. Interested parties can text me at 586-823-7270 and I will forward this evidence to you. In fact some calls and texts were not returned. These would be the calls and texts made by my partner Joe (who actually did the move). His calls and texts to Angela attempting to get more insight into her complaints were not returned. 2) Angela slanders us as having poor workmanship and work ethics but in fact we were referred to her from a friend who appreciated the quality of our work. You will see evidence of this in the text record. Movers with poor workmanship typically do not get recommendations from one friend to another. Also, If we had poor workmanship or ethics it’s unlikely Angela would have used our services for this second move. You will see communication regarding the first move we did for her several months prior in the text record. If we had poor work ethics or workmanship it’s unlikely Angela would have tipped my two movers $30 each. That’s $60 in tips for a $290 moving job. A very generous tip which generally indicates high customer satisfaction with the moving experience. 3) Angela complains of wetness being a traipsed through the house. In fact her husband insisted that we carried items in through the front door which was dry and snow free. Angela wanted us to bring items in through the back patio door which was snowy and would have been wet and possibly hazardous. As a result of listening to her husband no sloppy wetness was brought into the house. 4) Angela indicates we did not cover furniture. In fact all furniture is brought carefully out of the truck where we cover items with padded blankets and secure them in the truck. The dresser in question was uncovered and brought into the house and placed where Angela wanted it in the room. Both Angela and her daughter inspected all furniture as it came in to the home. The damage shown to me by picture text to my phone was so obvious that it would have been noticed immediately if we had caused it. The picture of this damage was sent to my phone nearly 3 hours after we left the property. There was discussion of rearranging furniture after we left to avoid paying us for additional time on the job. Angela’s husband insisted on saving money and doing this rearranging themselves. It is my belief that this damage was done after we left the property by the customers themselves. We take full responsibility for damage that we do but we will not be held responsible for damage that we did not do. Despite the many misrepresentations of the facts and the impugning of our character, I will be praying for Angela and wish her and her family many blessings in their new home.    Poor experience with worker.

   Rob ran over a neighbors shrub and tried to act like it wasn't a big deal. They hid branches in the cab of their truck so we wouldn't know how bad the damage was. Rob then used profanity and told us the main reason the person was upset was because the neighbor was black. I spoke with the neighbor and he was very reasonable. Rob didn't finish assembling the bed and I paid them extra money above the estimate so they could make the neighbor whole on his shrub which they destroyed. Rob did not pay the neighbor the extra money but I just found out today he kept it. The two workers with Rob were awesome but Rob shared several very racist views with us and made sure we knew he was supporting Trump. My daughter is black and if he had been doing any of the moving, instead of talking, he might have noticed the pictures and perhaps would have kept his views to himself. We really just wanted Rob to leave our home as it was a very upsetting experience.

    Disaster from the Start.

    If you are considering using Lucido's for your moving needs, CALL ANOTHER COMPANY. I should have seen all the warning signs, but hindsight is always 20/20. I first contacted this company on April 26,2016 to get an estimate for my upcoming move in July. I spoke with Steve, and he informed me that they only did flat rates and he would need to send someone out to my house to submit a bid. After a couple weeks went by and I had not heard anything, I called Steve again. He explained that he was not sure why Rob (Estimator/Mover) had not set anything up yet. However, he would call and remind him. He did and Rob came out to my home. When Rob came to my home, he walked through EVERY room. He saw everything that was going. We walked through the garage and even outside. Within a half hour of leaving my home, he submitted his flat rate bid. (see attached). I called and scheduled the move. (the bid was for 3 men). However, the payment had to be in cash. No credit cards, no checks, ONLY CASH. Weird but fine. Moving day gets here and only 2 guys show up in an 18 foot truck. Almost immediately, Rob starts making comments on how he under bid this job and that I was getting such a great deal. After getting the first load on the truck, and over to the new house, Rob now started making comments about how his boss just told him he had a job scheduled after mine. I did not think much about it until they were almost done loading the second load. It was at this time that I was informed that they were not going to be able to fit the rest of my belongings in the second truck. I was also told that whatever they could not fit was my problem to worry about as they were not going to make a third trip. I could not believe what I was hearing. I attempted to call Steve and my calls went unanswered and or ignored. It was at this point that I realized that the did not have me sign any paperwork and they insisted on cash. I told Rob that I was not giving him any payment without a receipt. He got belligerent and told me that he would just take the truck with all my stuff. It was only after I told him that I would call the police, that Steve finally contacted me. Steve told me that he would email me a receipt and that the guys would unload the truck and the move was over. He stated that he felt I got a good deal and the guys had to go do another job to do. He had no concern that they were leaving without my job being completed. When unloading the truck the second time, they showed no regard for my belongings. Wardrobe boxes were upside down, boxes marked fragile had items stacked on top of them. Scratches on the furniture. Etc.. My wife and I hired movers so we would not have to do anything. That was not the case with this company. We have had to hire another company to finish the job that lucidos started. Hopefully this nightmare will soon be over. We have yet to hear back about the damages that occurred. I can not urge you enough find another company. The lack of professionalism from the top to the bottom is undeniable.

    Ryan's wife did tip my men $20 for the excellent move they performed . If his "better half" had written this review we would likely have received the 5 stars this move actually deserves. :-) 1) actually we did NOT get to see everything that Ryan wanted moved at the time of the estimate. Not available to view was an amazing number of boxes that seemd to come out of nowhere. Nearly 2/3 of a truckload!! Also added to the moving agenda and not on the original moving list was a fairly elaborate outdoor patio system. 2) we did fill an 18 foot truck to the brim two complete times for Ryan's move. A fair price to move a complete 18 foot truck load filled to the brim would be $400 per load. So Ryan received $800 worth of moving value for a very reasonable $550: we took a loss on this move, Ryan took a significant gain. Methinks Ryan doth protest too much: Shakespeare you know. 3) all larger furniture items were transported safely and without damage, contrary to my friend Ryan's assertions. This left only smaller items and toys that Ryan could have easily transported himself without hiring another company. I am quite confident this is what he did. 4) despite my friend Ryan's misrepresentation of the quality move that he received for a very fair price I wish him and his Family well in their new home.
