Mover Documented Damages, Ignored Claim.
The owner of Montgomery (AL) Movers, Scott Turner arrived at my new home in New Mexico in October of 2010, and told me that the load had shifted on the way from Alabama. He stayed and documented the damages with photos and told me he would make sure everything was taken care of. Damages included a completely destroyed dining room table base and BBQ grill, as well as numerous scratches and tears on fabric. Mr. Turner contacted a third party who send an inspector who was able to estimate about 1,500 in damages, but not able to price the repairs on the fabric items. After that, Mr. Turner first belayed, then stopped all contact. I tried to reach him through the third party contact, but was told they were also trying to reach him - he hadn't paid for the inspection services. Nine months later, Mr Turner will not answer calls or emails. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and was told he had not responded tot their inquiry either. This mover should be avoided at all cost!
