   Great Experience.

   Great experience! Cal was extremely helpful and was able to make my move a seamless process. The amount quoted was the same as I was charged. I have had experiences in the past with other moving companies where many hidden fees were present. However, no hidden fees were present in this case and every promise made/price quoted was followed through with. The individuals that moved my items were also extremely helpful and I had absolutely no issues with any damaged items, nor any lost items. The entire process was smooth and easy, I definitely recommend using this moving company in the future.

   Successful move by Preferred Relocation.

   Preferred Relocation did a great job moving me from NJ to LA. I paid extra to have my belongings expedited to my new address and they delivered on time. Cal and Mark were always quick to reply to emails and voicemails. The movers on both sides of the move, particularly the movers who dropped off in LA, were great. I would recommend this company.

   Great Moving Experience.

   Our experience with Preferred Relocation of Hackensack, NJ was stellar. We were in dire straights -- we had been "stood up" by another company at the last minute and we were on a time deadline. Preferred Relocation went above and beyond the "call of duty" for us -- since, try though they might, they couldn't fit us into the schedule at the last minute, they helped us find a solution and we were able to put our things in storage and leave for our destination on time. When the time came for delivery to our destination, Preferred Relocation was timely and kept in touch with us from pick up of our items in storage in one state to delivery and unloading of everything in another state. Our belongings all arrived and all were in tact and in good order. From the initial phone call to the final delivery, the customer service and follow through was excellent. There were no surprises in the $$ amount quoted. We are forever grateful to Mark and Cal for getting everything set up as well as for the great follow through with Alex and Simona. Sebastian and Antonio were great with the delivery. Preferred Relocation: Top notch professionalism with the human touch.

   Moving.

   We were more than happy with our experience.. we already know that moving would be an enormous task (we've been through this several times in the past several years - relocated by our employer,) but we can truly say that the guys at Preferred were as good as it gets.  We were very close to schedule, and the movers were professional and pleasant.  Our furniture and boxes were in the same condition when they were delivered (always a phew moment,) and our total cost only was a bit higher than the estimate, because we added a small recliner and 10 boxes. I WOULD RECOMMEND Preferred Relocation, and WILL use them again if we need to move yet again.

   Highly Satisfied!!

   I just can't understand why these negative reviews? May be they have no idea about this moving company. However, I found them great moving company ever. I was looking for a moving company to move from New York to Florida and one of my friends recommended Preferred Relocation Moving company. Finally I called them and they ensured me that they will come in the next morning. Yes, they came on time and arranged everything very professionally. They took care all of my furniture. Especially my wife was worried about her lovely LED TV, but this moving company took a special care of it. They were friendly from first to last and found them very professional, on time delivered. They did everything within my limited budget. More than satisfied and definitely I will use them again for my future moving. I highly recommend Preferred Relocation Moving company to all.

   No complains at all.

   I just moved from Orlando,FL to Monterey, CA. I moved over christmas/New year 2014/15 with a 1br. Preffered Relocation gave me the best quote, so I chose them as my carrier. The pickup was very professional, the people showed up in time, did a good job on wrapping and were very fast. I agreed on a 20 day window for delivery, which made the move much cheaper. The delivery happened today. They were in time, fast and my furniture was in the same condition as I gave it to them 20 days ago. My bike and my music instrument were also in the same condition. They picked my stuff up with a small moving truck. At delivery they arrived with their big 18 wheel truck (white Prefferred Relocation truck with a NJ plate). Parking was a little problem, but they didn't charge more, although they had a little to walk.  As I saw all the reviews here I was very scared and almost changed my carrier. But, at least in my case, they were reliable, in-time, friendly, helpful, the communication was very good and the furniture was in good condition. So, I really can't complain. They did an excellent job on my move.

   Continuation of Genovese review.

   Allow me to finish. I dealt directly with the owner and we negotiated a solution to the problem. I learned that the owner is very reputable, fair and is concerned about his integrity and reputation. I am happy, he has addressed the issue with his team and I would use Preferred Relocation in Hackensack NJ again. The front line rep is CAL, he knows his business and will help you until the deal is completed. Both teams were efficient, detailed and nice. Although an incident occurred, he owner and I worked it out to a win win situation. Our move was hard, fragile, tedious and rightfully expensive. Try doing that move with friends!! It took 7 days to reach the destination and we were there to receive it. Everything was placed where I wanted it and the team was again efficient and kind. Thank you Preferred Relocation of Hackensack. I will use you again Patricia Genovese.

   Incompetent and careless.

   This was the absolute worst moving experience of our lives. We have been moved several times over the past 20 years, but Preferred Relocation was by far the worst. Some "low lights" are as follows: 1. They arrived late, EVERY single day of the 4-5 day experience. 2. They packed as if they were maliciously careless and/or utterly incompetent. Examples: tape was wrapped around ANTIQUE (!) wood furniture, lampshades were crushed by being stuffed into wardrobe boxes with electronic equipment and books, china was improperly packed and many pieces broken, and artwork was mangled. They brought no book boxes, despite having been told that we had hundreds of books to move. Many small items were tossed into wardrobe boxes along with large heavy items; some of these items were fragile and irreplaceable, and were damaged or destroyed. 3. At times, we had difficulty reaching the company (or anyone there who could help) by phone. 4. They destroyed the top of our antique china cabinet, likely by placing heavy items upon it while in the large moving truck. (We discovered this only after the cabinet was placed in our new home.) 5. We were coerced into having to rent an additional smaller truck as a "shuttle" because of our long driveway with a turn at its beginning. We went along with this, but have since determined that this was unnecessary, as we have had many large trucks and trailers traverse our driveway. This cost us several thousand dollars extra because they were either gouging us for more money, or their driver was incompetent, or both. 6. The moving team leader repeatedly asked for a HUGE tip ($1000) for his team. This felt like extortion, and was in no way deserved. We bought the team several lunches in good faith, BEFORE we realized how disastrous this move would turn out to be. The packing/moving crew was also occasionally crass or rude. 7. Over multiple years, with multiple forms, letters, and nearly 100 photos of damages, we were not compensated by the company, or their "claim clearinghouse" Anthem. After a round with the Better Business Bureau, we nearly gave up, since the company would only compensate us approximately 20% of the actual several thousand dollars in damages we incurred. They also wanted to place a "gag order" on us, and accept zero responsibility for any wrongdoing. We filed a complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, but at this point, four years after the nightmare, we are not hopeful. I am sure that I could find more things to write, using materials from the file of documents we have for this horrible move, but I simply do not want to think about this any more. We strongly suggest that you AVOID this company!

    Preferred should NOT be referred!!

    It has been 90 days since our unfortunate encounter with this company, ( needed time to calm down and also go through all of my boxes to evaluate the total damage) and I am writing simply because I do not want anyone else to experience the wrath of these people. Where do I begin.. We hired this company to move our belongings across the country back in July.. they were supposed to arrive on August 26th.. we were on a tight schedule - the new owners were scheduled to move in on the 31st. We had stipulated this right up front. They then said they would be there on the 27th.. that didn't happen, and so on. They finally show up on the 30th. with 4 guys. The supervisor first of all, complained that we had more than we had stated. (personally they should have done a walk early on). They started loading. My husband went out to get pizza for them around noon. He took the money out of our cash that we had set aside and hidden in a clock on the mantle. When he returned with the pizza, he put the leftover cash back - realized the entire amount had disappeared in that time (over $1,000.00 Money from the sale of a car from the night before) I immediately told the Supervisor who immediately summoned the three helpers - and found that one of them bailed out 1/ hour earlier, not saying a word. Come to find out, he didn't even know the guy's name or address, just his cell # which of course he didn't answer. When I asked why, he said he had found him through Craigslist!! I was mortified!! These people were in our home handling our personal property!! In the supervisor's defense, he did call the local police, but with not much to go on, a mute point. When I asked how it would be handled, the supervisor said "in all honesty, you are not supposed to leave valuables and money in plain sight!! It wasn't! Well, that was how it started. Couldn't get everything on one truck (had allocated only a 1/2 truck ), another truck came the following day, with only one person to move the rest. He dragged our kitchen table out, and our 62" Flat screen TV by himself, kicking it through the door! My husband wanted to help him but he refused. He also complained throughout the job, about how he wasn't told the size of the job. Overall originally they told us 2 3 weeks maximum. it took over a month!! They had to used two trucks and had moved our furniture twice at least loading and unloading to get in on one We had packed our belongings very well with bubble wrap. Clearly marked what containers should be on top. When received our products many of the plastic tubs were cracked, and crushed badly. The customer service department was horrible, when we were inquiring as to when our furniture was to be delivered, they would lie, then not call back when they didn't show up. Oh and for the $1,000. that was stolen? They jacked the total price up a thousand dollars then knocked off a thousand dollars- AFTER they had already re-negotiated a higher fee for our added boxes! PLEASE! Read reviews on this company If you intend to use them! Especially across country!!
