Neighbor notice
A truck that cannot sit in front of the stoop becomes a long carry. Tell the street before 7am.
What the notice says, and what it is not
The notice has four blanks: the street, the move date, the truck, and the hours it will sit at the curb. Any blank you leave prints a neutral line instead ("on the date posted", "this address", "moving truck", "during the day"), so a half-filled notice still reads cleanly. It ends by asking neighbors to knock or leave a note if they need the space. The print and share buttons drop away when you print.
It is a courtesy, not a permit. It does not reserve the street, and a neighbor is free to park. Where a city or building has its own rules for a truck at the curb, those win: ask both buildings for their parking, elevator, and certificate of insurance rules early, since many want 72 hours. In the UK, check parking permits and controlled parking zone rules for the van's bay. On the day, hold the bay or cone the curb only where the building allowed it.
Which truck to write on it
Write the truck the mover or rental counter confirmed, because its length is how much curb you are asking for. If you do not know yet, the box lengths below are the rental sizes the major brands publish, as we last checked them on 28 Sep 2026. The 26 ft truck is the largest you can drive on a regular licence. A mover may send a different truck than a rental, so ask what will arrive.
