I am writing this review because I have finally given up trying to resolve any issues with this company. I was looking for a mover to haul my belongings from Washington State to Arizona in July 2019. The first person I spoke to, Adam, was very gracious and extremely helpful so I decided to go with him. A truck arrived on July 23 to pack my home. I should have realized I was in for trouble when the two guys they hired to help the driver load the truck broke a large piece of glass on a display cabinet. Somehow, they managed to get the truck loaded and I started driving to my new home in AZ. When the truck arrived in AZ, the same driver was there but two new men were hired to help him unload.
As they were unloading the truck, I noticed one of them had my small hand truck in his hands and I assumed he was going to unload it. He didn't. It disappeared. As they got to the end of my load, they tied up the next person's belongings and I happened to catch them tying up an 8' antique saw that belonged to me. Fortunately, I saw them doing it and had them untie and unload the saw. It didn't occur to me to look and see if any other boxes belonging to me were also still in the truck, but they were.
As I was unpacking boxes, I realized that several were missing, including one that held a number of collectible books (including a HS annual that costs $100 to replace). I notified them immediately that these things were missing. As I continued to unpack, I realized a box holding family heirlooms that were over 100 years old was missing. As I continued to unpack, I realized that several items that should have been in the storage unit outside were missing.
I tried to contact Adam directly but was told he was no longer working there. I sent a list of items that were broken or missing to his email address and another employee responded. I was told they were going to send the information to the customer service department responsible for reimbursement but I never heard back from them. I sent several additional emails, and finally someone named John answered me and told me he was going to make sure I was reimbursed for the missing and broken items. I didn't hear another word from them until I threatened legal action if they didn't pay me what they owed me (close to $1,000 at this point). They finally answered me and said they had to deduct $500 from the amount but they were going to send me a check for the remainder to clear up the matter. On October 2, I had still not heard anything from them so I sent them another email and asked where the check was. A terse, one line response (unsigned) said they were sending it the following Friday. It's now October 25 and I have not received anything from them.
In the past week, I sent them two emails asking for an update on my claim. They didn't answer either of them and so, here I sit, 3 months after I moved and they have refused to lift a finger to resolve this claim. My next step is to report them to the Better Business Bureau but, before I do that, I decided to write this review and warn others NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY. They'll tell you anything to get you to sign up with them then will dump you and refuse to take responsibility for the damage and losses they caused. DON'T HIRE THEM!
