I was satisfied with the moving crew, although they did show up 2 hours late and therefore finished loading well into the night. I tipped them the standard 10%. Upon delivery the next day when the driver came to settle with me and collect payment, I was shocked to find that the total cost had increased by 60% due to what they called "extras", ie: garden implements, tool boxes, lamps both small and largec etc. I don't deny that I had a number of these "extras", but 60% more in cost seems very excessive. The inventory I filled out prior to receiving an estimate made no mention of the "extras", only items of furniture and number of boxes. The owner did offer a 10% discount off the total bill, which was appreciated, but I still feel that I was taken advantage of, especially since the delivery location was a large, flat storage shed at ground level with no impediments to access. Loading took over 10 hours, unloading 4 hours. Consumers should keep in mind that these "extras" can really add up and therefore quiz the movers prior to accepting an estimate regarding this up-serve tactic mover my employ in order to increase the total cost of a move. Would not use this company again nor recommend to friends, enemys maybe.
