Do not hire LA Moving Inc. Disastrous! They will destroy your household belongings! LA Moving Inc. President: Lillian Karina director of operations: Steve Karina aka steve k. And Stan Karina operating out of sierra Bonita avenue, Los Angeles, 5140 white oak, Encino, and Sacramento. This complaint must be read by anyone who is even thinking about using the services of la moving inc. The company advertises mostly on craigslist and other websites. This company doesn't deserve to earn a penny a day. La moving inc. Was hired to do an interstate move. They damaged all my furniture, refrigerator, piano, crushed lamps, shredder, glass shelves, broke off legs of printer tables, broken crystal dishes, porcelain figurines, packed my pictures with cardboard and newspapers stuck among them and these pictures were damaged, cleaning products poured into boxes, etc. This was a disastrous move. I still have at least 70 boxes that I have not been able to open due to my medical conditions and scared to find out what happened to the contents of those boxes. They denied everything about damages. Upon inquiring from the public utilities about la moving inc., the only license la moving inc. Has public utilities license to move within the state of California and are not allowed to do an interstate move. However, because this was an interstate move, this matter belongs to the department of transportation. Upon calling the department of transportation, I found out that la moving inc.'s dot license 1866612 and motor carrier license/insurance mc 674826 were revoked on November 19, 2012, and the company had no authority or privilege of any kind to do any interstate move. A complaint has been filed with the dot and penalties are coming depending upon the violation. Their license with the secretary of state was suspended on may 1, 2013, and upon me telling them that the license was suspended, they reinstated the license. However, because my move was after the suspension, they had no authority to move interstate. They provided me with three (3) different certificates of liability that weres sent to me by steve Karina and their insurance agency, la west insurance services. They do not currently hold general liability coverage - that is the latest information. They are misleading the public and taking consumers' monies and leaving them high and dry. The only insurance coverage they have is workers comp. Auto insurance and cargo insurance. Please do a search under la moving inc. - you will find the disastrous complaints!La moving inc. Advertises on craigslist Los Angeles. They operate under multiple telephone numbers and they post at least 20 - 30 listings. La moving inc. Of transportation - la moving inc.'s license remains revoked as of November 19, 2012. No general liability insurance available. The insurance available according to the dept. Of transportation is cargo insurance - expiring September 2013 and auto insurance expiring 9/20/2013. You can verify licensing and insurance information by calling (800) 832-5660. Shameful matter. Reviews reading the comments from steve k., I must note that what he wrote is nothing but a cover up. Reading the various reviews/complaints on yelp and all other complaints on the internet about how la moving damaged consumers' furniture, etc., proves that your company has serious issues with moving services. The fact that you are misleading the public and providing moving services out of the state of California without a dot license and mc carrier license/insurance is also a very serious issue. All consumers should ask for proper insurance documentation prior to hiring la moving inc. As I stated all information about your company is public record and there has not been any discrepancy in what I stated in my review that is any different on the department of transportation website. Perhaps I should start uploading all the public record information for consumers to see from the department of transportation website. The carelessness of moving/packing and damaging household belongings by your workers is simply unacceptable.The damages were caused by your moving company and no one else. It appears that your movers tend to tell the customers that the damages were there before. Did your movers marked those pieces of furniture prior to starting the move? Most likely not, because you had no proof. Your company caused extensive damages to all my household belongings and it is unforgivable. There many things that are not replaceable. Do you understand that?You should address the duty that you owe consumers, by providing qualified movers and the proper insurance coverages when you contract for moving services! At this point, it does not appear that you do that!There is nothing to talk about because there is no trust left here in trying to resolve this with your office.End of story! I definitely do not believe these great reviews. As a matter of fact, yet, I found another cracked vintage lamp that is porcelain and I am fuming mad about this. I believe these reviews have been made up by someone other than a customer. Such negligent work. This is a nightmare and the world will yet come down on la moving inc.I believe that things are catching up with la moving inc. And Mr. Steve k. Had to do something to justify these disasters reviews that are all over the internet. If a Russian guy named "Steve" calls you, stay away, trust me. If you fill out a "Price quote" thing on the internet, do not use them! They're rates were extremely low, so I picked them to move me from la to ca. They said it would take 2-3 weeks, and a flat fee of 1600. They asked for half the cash up front, and it took them 6 weeks to get to my house. When they finally did get here, half of the stuff was missing. While they were unloading the truck, they had me stand outside of the truck and have me tell them what was mine and what wasn't. They lost all of my clothes, kitchen stuff, electronics, and my 1200 bike! Just lost it. They have no idea. And the stuff they did deliver was broken (bed broken, plastic containers broken". They told me when I pointed it out, that, and I quote "It's on a truck, thing update: on September 20, 2013, I have found yet, again, a lamp dump in my wardrobe box among my clothes - a porcelain lamp cracked across the lamp. All my clothes will have to be washed/dry cleaned due to the fact that dirty surge protectors and luggage carrier, etc. Were dumped among my clothes. Shame on you - la moving inc.
