Do yourself a favour and do NOT hire these incompetent, lazy, and rude movers. This was our first time using movers and it has ruined it entirely for us. 1. They quoted us for two hours of work in the beginning and ended up taking over double that time. They blamed it on us having more stuff then they thought but, when I messaged them, I told them all the furniture that we had and a larger amount of boxes then we ended up actually having. So them trying to blame us for it taking longer is a weak excuse. 2. They were rude. Anytime me or my mom would try to say anything they’d just keep talking over us, the one guy going as far to yell over us when we weren’t even being rude. 3. They took double the amount of time we did to get to our new house, which is only a 10-12 minute drive. But for some reason they didn’t leave our old house until much later after we did. 4. They did not follow the instructions on where to go. Before we left we told them exactly where to go into the parking lot and told them not to block the entrance to the indoor parking, which they ended up doing exactly that. The maintenance person told them where to go and it took them another five minutes to actually go there when it should have taken them less than 30 seconds. And then when the maintenance person told them he’d move the recycling so they could put their ramp down to make this easier and faster they refused. 5. Both when loading and unloading they took one light box at a time, and we had everything down on the main floor at our pick up location and had them put everything on the main floor at our drop off location in an attempt to help them out and make things smoother. We told them how we wanted things arranged to to make it easier and even had it set up so they could do it and they didn’t follow what we said and did it in a way that made it take longer. 6. At our drop off location the one guy said he couldn’t carry anything because it was too far of a walk for him and that he’s never had to walk this far for a move before. No idea what he would do if he was helping someone move into an apartment with no elevator. And yes, it is a bit of a walk but they had the option to make it easier but had refused. If you struggle with walking long distances and can’t even carry anything light then you should not be doing this job for a living. He ended up spending more time just walking beside the other guy than anything else. Once time he carried in one guitar and was huffing and puffing afterwards. 7. They continuously were on their phones. Answering calls and sending texts, one even asked if we had a charger he could use. I don’t understand why they’d need to do any of this as I was texting a completely different number when setting this all up so there is at least one other person who is not a mover who can answer calls and texts. 8. They dragged our couch into the mud. We pointed this out and the guy got defensive right away and tried to tell us the brown mud on our grey couch was from it being dragged in the snow. He kept yelling over us even though we were calm and not even mad at them for it. Now our couch still has a brown stain on it and there are strings coming out of it. 9. We paid the original amount when they started working and, because of their laziness, they took longer and we got another invoice for the work they were doing.They wanted us to pay before the guys were even done. The one guy, the one who was yelling over us, came and said his company told them not to unload anymore until we pay. We told them we’re not paying until their done and he said ‘no you need to pay now’ and when we tried to call the other number we barley got a word out to the lady before a guy said something Indian and hung up the call. That’s when we realized the movers were doing a 3 way call with whoever is at their office. We then got a text from the person at the office telling us not to argue with the movers and that they were working hard. The one mover came back and said they are not unloading anything else until we pay, and when we said we’d unload it ourselves they said no. We only found out later that that was illegal. We ended up paying and then continued to take their sweet time unloading. And then to top it off they didn’t get the rest of the stuff from our house that they said they’d go back for, causing us to have to spend another day moving it all with my moms car. I cannot stress enough to anyone do NOT hire this company. I found them on kijiji under the name Mighty Pup moving company and when I looked up their reviews they were mostly good ones. Had I looked up maple leaf movers and seen these reviews I would have told them to go kick rocks. These people are scammers and are ignoring every attempt I’ve made to contact them to get some compensation for our couch, so I will be taking this to the BBB and filing a complaint against them. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

-I got their number from my realtor , very disappointed and will never use them again , informed my realtor not to recommend this company to his clients. -They showed up hours late, only after many phone calls to remind them -They did not use furniture blankets or dollies -I reserved my condo service elevator for 12 pm to 3 pm and they showed up at 03.30 pm. I had to beg my BUILDING manager to extend time -I spoke to the manager Satinder and requested him so many times to come and see the stuff which is to be moved, but he did not come and advised to send him list of all major items but later I was blamed that it took us too long due to lots of stuff . -When they came late , manager agreed that he will send 3 guys instead of 2, but he send two guys without proper equipment and guys were moving each box by hand one by one , ofc it will take them longer. -It took them 9 hours to move my 2 bedroom condo to the house which is only 10 minutes away or 6.5 kms distance -I can't blame the mover guys since they were not provided with proper equipment's and tools to do their job, they were very helpful & respectful but wanted to add that they were on the phone most of the time which can also cause negligence and long time -They broke my expensive mirror, damage floor in my condo and ruined my 2 accent chairs, found broken glass items while unpacking although boxes were labelled for glass items . They admitted to breaking my most valuable piece of furniture -Due to delay and pressure from Condo building, we both ladies also helped them in moving and even loaded stuff in my personal car due to their small truck -Spoke to Satinder for the compensation. He agreed to compensate, which covered cost of mirror only . I told him to give me compensation through insurance company , but he did not agree -I wish I could give them zero rating , for my WORST move ever

Two Nervous Seniors Move From Known To Unknown! Moving & Storage review in Mississauga 11 months ago Our daughter who lives in Windsor ON was getting anxious of our welfare we were alone in Pickering ON. She found us a home and we had the anxious task of moving. Of course the business of selling our home and buying our new home in Windsor was anything but smooth. The only thing that happened good was Maple leaf. Right from the start to end they were true professionals. Absolute delight to see the way the way they conducted their business. they literally took the worry out of the move. In simple words, thank you for taking care of us.

A horrible experience. A completely unprofessional company. They moved my contents and never delivered on what they promised. No protective wrapping on furniture or mattresses or consideration with walking through the home with protective foot wear. They under estimated the contents and did not disclose that I needed to accompany them to “ their storage facility”. It ultimately cost me $380 additional for a last minute local storage unit only to have them cram everything in. They broke 3 pieces of furniture and withheld items. Do not use this company.

A year and a half ago I contacted Maple Leaf Movers during peak moving season and they gave me the best quote, one truck, three guys, $1800. I said perfect. They show up an hour late, only two guys, and a less than enthusiastic attitude. Takes them the better part of the day to load, everything was all boxed and wrapped for them, just a matter of loading the truck. Finally left and advised me they were going to get the truck weighed and then offload at the storage unit all my stuff was going into. Took them till 10 pm to offload, and while they were offloading they smashed the glass top to my master bedroom dresser. It had been shipped from Dubai and never got broken but Maple Leaf Movers took no care with the glass top and stood it on its end, resulting in it falling over as the mover walked away. As it was getting late they started just throwing my stuff up on top of other things of mine until the truck was empty. Then their $1800 quote doubled to $3600 with an excuse of not expecting as much stuff, the total weight was just under $10,000 lbs. needless to say I was upset at the price. As far as the smashed dresser, I talked to their boss and he said he was only responsible for any damage by weight, so all I would get would be $50, which I never received. Now comes the eye opener as to how much Maple Leaf Movers are only in it for the money. I needed to move the same load into my new house a year and a half later. Obviously I wasn’t going to call Maple Leaf Movers again so this time I called a local company, LaPalm Movers. Told them that the storage unit had just under 10,000 lbs of furniture and boxes. They calculated $1950 taxes included, so I booked them for 8:30 am 8 November. This company shows up at 8:15 am and have two trucks and four men to do my move. Found more damage to my property caused by Maple Leaf Movers putting heavyweight items on top of dresser tops and lighter stuff. Needles to say my spare bedroom dresser is destroyed by the so called moving experts from Maple Leaf Movers. So as I was saying, LaPalm movers packed my stuff up into their trucks in an hour and a half, unloaded all my stuff into my new house, and charged me the grand total of$709.65. Less than one quarter the cost that Maple Leaf Movers charged me for the identical load, and over $1200 less than LaPalm movers quote to me. Needless to say, I got totally ripped off by Maple Leaf Movers. LaPalm Movers are affiliated with Allied Moving Company. My advice would be to go with the brand name moving companies because these other so called moving companies couldn’t care less for you or your valuables, as long as they can rip you off and get away with it, they will. It’s time for the government to step in on these so called “professionals”.
