As so many other reviews say, this company is definitely a scam. The initial estimate was reasonable so I used them for my move. Bank withdrawal only was a red flag but I was in a bind and paid the deposit. My move consisted of a small 2 bedroom double wide into a storage unit. A week before the move, Anthony/Tony called and we reviewed my move. I needed to change a couple of things in the inventory and Anthony/Tony encouraged me to pay an additional $250 to ensure extra space needed. I paid the $250. Move day came and the box truck and 3 men showed up. As soon as they walked in, the driver immediately started complaining about the amount of stuff I had and the time it would take to load. Very rude and unprofessional to say the least. Of course I had to sign the paper work, which did not reflect the additional $250 I paid, before they would start loading. The driver called dispatch at Cosmos Transport and Betty told him the $250 was never received from Qualified Movers. After many emails, texts and phone calls, I have yet to receive the $250 refund. I even provided the bank statement to both Qualified Movers and Cosmos Transport, showing the withdrawal by Qualified Movers. I was told the proof didn't matter. I also had to pay an additional $800 for storing my belongings a few days past the initial 30 days free.
The initial estimate was $4,962. I ended up paying over $10,000 for my move. They are scammers, cheaters, liars, thieves and any other derogatory word you can think of to describe them. I read a few positive comments but they were probably written by family members or friends of both companies.
DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!
