    AVOID AVOID AVOID

I have given this one star because it isn't possible to give zero on this forum. My experience with AnyVan was a disgrace from start to finish. From booking the wrong drop off date with my driver to miscommunicating the situation when my items were stopped by police and held overnight (due to ineptitude on AnyVan's part), to delivering items 24 hours late and then refusing to take any responsibility. This company does not care about its customers, this company facilitates a culture amongst its staff of disrepect for customers and lack of care and this company cannot actually fundamentally deliver on its sole purpose - to get items from point A to point B in a confirmed upon timeframe. Avoid this company at all costs as I can ASSURE you it is not worth the hassle.

Avoid like the plague - especially for home moves

An unbelievably scammy, exploitative company that avoid accountability at all turns and are arguably engaging in misleading marketing practices. They made moving house extremely stressful when they cancelled at 6pm on moving day (final day of my tenancy). Then charged me £143 extra to reschedule despite the incompetent driver cancelling the job.

    Never use their "services"

Update: Don't reply to them regarding their request to contact them to resolve your experience. They will just waste your time and in a rude manner by the end will tell you they did what was paid for no matter how. They just proved once again how greedy, awful, and extremely unprofessional this so-called company is. Stay away from them and save your time and money. Never use their "services"! Save your money, nervous cells, and private information. They have rude customer service who can hang up any time they want when you call them and are extremely rude to customers. I paid £53 for a 15-minute drive from the first floor to 1 floor. What is insane! The system got bugged and to change the floor it asked me to pay more even if before it was the same price. Major reasons not to use them: 1)They will send you an unexperienced, rude, and not very smart driver who will be looking for a place to park and will be parking his van 3 times minimum. 2) They will leave your belongings in the street unsupervised, and you won't even know this if you are not there supervising a driver 3) They will disclose your private details to strangers in the street just in front of you 4) They will ignore all of your requests and will waste lots of your time 5) You won't be allowed to go with a driver and have to get by yourself 6) When you will ask for a refund for extremely bad service and breakage of private information you will speak with rude so called complaints dep and they will tell you that the driver did his job no matter what and will offer you 10£ voucher for a next service like you want to use their awful "service" again. Stay away from them and never pay them anything. I would have never wanted to deal with them even for free. They are a good example of unprofessionalism from their customer service, drivers to other departments. This is a dodgy, unprofessional, overpriced company with a bad attitude and awful client service to anti-recommend.

    Avoid Anyvan

Avoid AnyVan at all costs for international moves. I booked them to transport my essential tools and TV from the UK to Sweden for a permanent relocation. My items were collected on April 28th, with a promised delivery window of May 1st–5th. It has now been nearly a month, and my life's belongings are still sitting in a warehouse in the UK. The customer service and driver communication have been a complete disgrace. The driver refused my calls, ignored my text messages, and then lied to AnyVan management, claiming he had tried to contact me. When I finally forced an update out of them, they blamed it on a "part load" and claimed they didn't have enough items to send a consignment—something they completely failed to disclose when taking my money. They promised to keep me updated, but they have completely ignored me since May 13th. I have been forced to issue a formal Letter Before Action, and my next step is taking legal action for breach of contract and the full replacement value of my tools. They take your money, lie to your face, and hold your property hostage. Do not trust this company with your belongings.

    AVOID, ABSOLUTE SCAM

Absolute SCAM! I had an awful experience with AnyVan. The driver arrived and immediately tried to charge extra for minor differences in the inventory, which I was willing to accept. However, he then suggested I pay £20 in cash to avoid “admin” which felt completely inappropriate and unprofessional. When I refused, he entered a random £29 charge in the app without any clear breakdown. After that, he sat in his van for around 30 minutes while calling support, giving inconsistent explanations about the charges. Customer service also provided conflicting information, one being that the driver had added a charge for us not being on the ground floor like I listed. We ARE on the ground floor - there are stairs down into the kitchen where I said 3x boxes were but not once did I say he would have to get them - we were willing to bring ALL items to the van and frankly did not want him in our home anyways. We asked him, if he could just take the boxes as they were, especially since there were actually fewer large boxes than originally listed, but he refused. After wasting over an hour, apparently the driver was in his right to decline the job entirely. Customer service said I wasn't entitled to a refund. Overall, the experience was highly distressing and dishonest. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Avoid for your own sanity-unprofessional and unnacountable.

Removal men badly damaged large wooden item of furniture by dragging across the floor and now offering £98 as compensation which is an insult given the value of the item. The list given on booking was not what removal men had and they didn't speak English so it was back to calling the office. Unprofessional service all the way and no respect for your time or property. There's a reason why they take fee upfront. Pay a bit more for peace of mind.

    Money grabbing company - avoid

This company is attempting to charge me over £200 for a job that was not done and left me in a lurch. Their drivers are overbooked and stressed about getting to the next job. Most of all, I’m livid with the charge. I wouldn’t use them again and a company like this shouldn’t be allowed to trade.

    Avoid AnyVan at all costs!

Avoid AnyVan at all costs. This company is dishonest, disorganised, and completely unaccountable. I was charged on the spot for items I had already listed and paid for. They then changed the item names in their system and double-charged me for the same items. When I complained, I was told I couldn’t be refunded because “you moved last Tuesday” — which is absurd, considering today is Sunday. That is not a policy; that is an excuse. They damaged my sofa, broke two of my picture frames, and showed zero responsibility for it. On top of that, they charged me £55 simply for asking them to arrive at 1:00 PM, even though I had already paid to change the time interval. Later they claimed that charge was for delivery and not collection. So which is it? The rules seem to change whenever it suits them. This company is getting worse, not better. The pricing is opaque, complaints go nowhere, and accountability does not exist. I genuinely urge anyone reading this: do not use AnyVan. Save yourself the stress, the damage, and the money you will never get back.
