   This company is not who they say they are.

   This company is not who they say they are. They are brokers but do not stand behind the movers they book. They have a Virginia address but are doing business out of FL through a shady company. When things go bad with the mover they ignore your calls and emails and make excuses. Hopefully the FL AG Office can shut them down. I don’t even know if Dedicated Van Lines in VA really exists. Save yourself the trouble of having to file criminal charges against them and use someone else. Try PODS they are safer. That’s what I should have done. I gave them a check for $1700 as deposit and got a “receipt” from Dedicated Van Lines but the check as cashed by another person with some business in FL. Less

   Received quote from Jason on inventory over the phone. I reduced inventory 33 boxes and got a quote from Eric that was $700.00 more. When the movers arrived I realized that Dedicated had brokered the move to Princz moving. My contract stated pack one day deliver the next day. Before any merchandise was packed I got a phone call from Princz stating they needed another $750.00 before proceding. $250.00 for 2 mattress pads, I went to Walmart purchased 2 for $15.00. $500.00 over night storage. Told them had a contract next day delivery, they said would not deliver till paid $500.00. I told them fine you want to deliver same day I will meet you at the new location that night which was a 6 hour drive. I got a call about 8PM stating be there next day no charge. I have damage to my old residence, I am told they are not responsible for any damage.

   Hidden charges and poor communication

   Initially, they had someone call me and say how easy it would be, and how they charge. But when I signed and used them, they lied and added charges. And when I tried to call, they wouldn't answer me for MONTHS. There's a different company that provides the movers and then they use this other company to shift the problems to when you complain. Also my furniture was dirty. My friend even had broken furniture.

   Did not compensate for my lost bike

   Horrible experience ! DONOT USE THIS MOVERS !! If there was an option to give ZERO stars, I would have done that. Warning : If during the move, any of your items is lost, you WILL NOT get compensation for that ! I had booked a move with Dedicated Van Lines for the end of July 2023. On the day of move, they sent a third party movers called "R&M transportation for the move". In the transit, they lost my 300$+ bike. When R&M transportation delivered by stuff, they mentioned that it would have been misplaced the bike during the transit and they would try to relocate it as soon as they can and if they are not able to do that in a week, contact the movers and if needed please file a claim for it ! So I did exactly what was asked for ! However after submitting the claim, R&M claimed that there was no missing bike and asked me to contact Dedicated Van lines for the missing item which I did. It has been since 6 months since the move, I have been emailing then every 2 weeks for any update on the compensation , but they hardly reply ! The last response from Ryan Gold from Dedicated Van lines on 27th November 2023 was "R&M transportation has been unresponsive. Will do our best to continue to reach them. I have attached the screenshot of the email communications Before the move, dedicated van lines will be constantly in touch with regarding the move, their customer service agents would be excellent. But once the move has been completed, they will not respond to any of your queries ! Also "R&M transportation" are not professional movers. On the day of the move, just 2 people initially showed up for the move and then they contacted 3 random local helpers in the area. All three of them were not professional at all ! During the move, one of those helpers stepped on my 65 inch OLED TV while packing the TV ! I was in total shock how can someone do that. Thankfully though when the move was completed, the TV wasn't damaged ! I was fine with a third party movers being involved in the move ! However if an item is lost in the transit, neither the 3rd party nor Dedicated Van lines take responsibility for the move!! DONOT BOOK THIS MOVERS !

   Worst Company EVER Lie, Damaged Almost Everything and Lost a Bunch

   Can I just say what didn't go wrong? Being lied to that Dedicated would be delivering our stuff on their truck and just our stuff. Then the night before all of the sudden the truck is stuck in NY so he had to hire his best buddy who has great ratings. Ummmm no because you can't even find a website on them. Lost so many items including a $500 painting because we made the mistake the of saying it was expensive and one of a kind - guess stole it to sell it. Missing huge top of desk, leather coat, 2 fabric bed rails, coats, backpacks and ALMOST all of our furniture and goods were damaged!!!! Mike Levy said let us wrap everything so ok, guys who showed up charged $300 extra to do so (Quality Moving Services Inc.) and charged another $2600 or so on top of that. Let's just say they wrapped our furniture in plastic trash bags which broke through and scratched and damaged almost everything! Boxes were crushed - dropped and tried to tape back together. BEWARE and please use someone else to save yourself from this awful headache and stress. Oh and when I found out Mike sold us to Quality, I immediately wanted full insurance but oh wait, no he couldn't do that because too late or some BS.

   Absolutely awful. Mike Levy lied about everything. Said he wasn’t a broker, said he had his own truck when it was a uhaul rental, said my stuff would be there Wednesday didn’t arrive until the Monday after and I was charged $2000 extra. Worst moving company ever.

   DO NOT Use Will Get Damaged

   Absolutely do NOT use them. They will get you with positive reviews and it's FALSE advertisements. They try to tell you charge by cubic foot, don't do it. Find a company with their own trucks like all my sons moving, this one outsources to Whitty Moving, and they are not reputable with F BBB rating. They moving guy that came day of move was disgruntled, I paid extra for the movers to pack up this means they throw it in a box. This company will change quotes from start to end of move, causing it to double or triple from initial quote. Other hidden fees, including walking from truck to apartment. They came with loaded truck and couldn't put my items on the truck, said will put it in storage and deliver in a couple of days. I called to get eta of delivery, he said call my distpatcher and stopped communication while holding my items hostage in a hot storage. Contacting the dispatcher, said I can't give you any information, we have 21 days from today to get your stuff if you don't hear from me call back, but I can't give you any information. 3+ weeks later, delivered damaged furniture including broken 75 inch tv. They won't respond and will leave you hanging throughout move, no eta on delivery or even now as I try to file a claim will not receive response instead hangs up on you. All packed boxes delivered upside down so anything liquid spilled or fragile is broken. I have moved A LOT, and never left a negative review until now. This company is terrible and stay away.

   Do. Not. Use. This. Mover.

   We originally picked this mover because of past good reviews. Clearly, something has changed with the company since after a month and long text conversations they refuse to do the bare minimum to make things right for a move that went horribly wrong. A month ago my wife and I moved from Virginia to Illinois. We've moved a lot over the years and this time purchased "White Gloves Full Service Packing". Almost every day we checked, double-checked, and triple-checked all the details via email, phone, and text. This includes letting Ryan Gold know that the DRIVER expressed concern over the packing task resources when he called us the day before the move. Moving day: No packers, limited packing supplies on the wrong sized truck. My wife and I had to pack four entire rooms in just a few hours, jeopardizing making our flight to Illinois. A month later, still no refund for the services not rendered, just a complete runaround. Moving day was hugely stressful, my wife had just lost her father a short time ago and had a personal health scare. We asked for the absolute minimum...a refund of the packing services. Dedicated refused, finally telling us to quit asking or their legal department would pursue harassment charges. Do not use this mover...if *anything* goes wrong, they will not do anything. NOTE: I'm sure Ryan will provide an "official company response, saying they DID offer a refund. They did...after deducting the packing materials *we* used to pack because there were no packers. Not only were there no packers, but the truck did not have enough packing materials and had to go to Lowes/Home Depot to get more...not enough more and we had to pay on the spot for the materials and two unskilled laborers who arrived late and left early and were more a hindrance than a help. Once I began posting my experience with Dedicated Van Lines, the company tied the less-than-full refund to the deletion of the reviews. I pledged to remove the review *after* they sent the refund because they are completely untrustworthy. They refused. The full refund would have been less than $700 dollars, They have fought and lied over a pittance...that's what kind of company they are. In addition, because the logistics and truck size was totally screwed up by Dedicated, our household goods had to be loaded on a small truck, transferred to a semi, transferred to a small truck, and then unloaded into our house. Unsurprisingly we have many broken and missing items due to the extensive handling. Seriously, contract with *any other* mover than Dedicated.

   Horrible

   They were absolutely horrible. They called Friday to tell us they would be coming Saturday between 7-10 then Saturday at 7:45 they called and said they weren’t going to come until Sunday. At 7:15pm on Saturday the movers arrived unannounced. The movers came to look at our stuff and claimed that we had almost double the amount than in our contract, when we had 3 additional items. And would be charging us 2000 more dollars. We proceed to ask why that was and how could that be if basically everything was in the contract. They also made me very uncomfortable as a woman by staring at me as well as goofing around and playing in our backyard. They got mad at the questions we asked and said they will come Sunday morning at 7 am because they were tired even though they had already said they HAD to do it that evening. We asked for their contact info and higher up contact info multiple times and got in the car and drove off. They then proceeded to not show up at 7 am. We contacted the broker serval times to try to find an update. He would only pick up if we used a different phone. He was rude talked over me and hung up on me multiple times. He never gave us any info. My husband and I move Wednesday and we were very worried they wouldn’t come at all. Eventually the movers showed up at 12:30. I was upset and confused why they were so late and at the lack of communication. They got mad at us again. And refused to give us the quote we had already agreed upon. We decided to refuse their service as they never gave us any. I doubt I will get my deposit back. They were absolutely horrible and rude. There was no communication at all. We did not trust them with our stuff. I don’t usually write reviews but they were so bad. Ryan the broker was the worst of them all. Don’t use them. Now we’re stuck trying to find new movers when we move in 2 days. Also we decided to measure everything we have and GUESS WHAT it measured out to be exactly what’s in the contract. I bet they will write some sassy response to what I say but that is exactly how they spoke on the phone so take that into consideration

   very saddening to see such misinformation being posted against our company. I will take the time to explain why this job wasnt completed. Firstly, we arrived the pickup date between 5-7 as we told the client earlier that day. We did not show up unannounced. The phone number on the contract was the clients mothers not hers and did not get the communication between them for our arrival. We did agree to come back the next day. Upon arrival, the client allowed us to do our initial walk through to see what the actual items moving are. We then notified the client not only were the boxes a lot bigger, but there was approx 20 additional items. The client asked us to leave the home without allowing the driver to do an inventory of the extra items. The client stated 'if you want to take all my extra stuff for the same price you quoted me, you can come in; but if you dont, i want my money back.' We explained to the client we were not in fact charging more money, but rather giving them a new estimate on the additional items being moved that we were not aware about on the initial quote. We gladly discounted the already discounted rate over eight hundred dollars and unfortunately the client would not let us complete the move unless all the extra items were moved free of charge.

    Fraudulent, Deceptive, and Unresponsive

    Do not use this company. Ryan Gold uses deceptive and fraudulent business practices by falsely advertising as a mover when in reality he is a broker who hires third party moving companies (that are not properly vetted) to facilitate your move. I hired Dedicated Van Lines in November 2021 to move my goods from California to Washington DC. I believed Dedicated Van Lines was going to be in charge of my entire move as they present themselves as a full-service moving company on their website. A third-party company picked up my goods in California. They arrived significantly later than expected and did not have the adequate supplies to pack my goods. For instance, they used damp/dirty towels that I had been using to clean my apartment the day of my move to wrap my TV and desktop computer because they did not have moving blankets to wrap fragile items. When it came time for payment, they also disputed Ryan’s contact, stating that I owed them more money than indicated on my contract and that Ryan was stealing money from them. I contacted Ryan TWO WEEKS after my goods were packed in California, simply asking for an estimated delivery date of my goods, and it took him over a week to respond to me. He kept acting like I was being demanding and unreasonable for simply asking for an update. To be clear, I wasn’t pressuring them to hurry up and delivery my goods—I just needed to ensure I had an estimate of when my goods would arrive so I could reserve my freight elevator and ensure I could take the time off work to be available. A separate third-party moving company hired by Ryan delivered my goods. The first load of items they brought into my apartment included a box of goods that DID NOT belong to me—I could tell immediately because it was packed in a different type of box than all my goods were packed in. The sticker had another woman’s name on it and when I told the mover, he seemed skeptical that it wasn’t mine and agreed to take the box back to the owner. At this point, I have very little faith that that box made it back to its actual owner because I am missing approximately $1,200 worth of household goods and nobody—not Ryan, the company from California, or the delivery company in DC—has been able to locate the goods or reimburse me for the items. I think they probably just get rid of them or take missing items for themselves because it is cheaper to pay the claim (which they have yet to do) than put in the work to ensure the goods make it back to their rightful owner. After trying to get in touch with Ryan several times about my missing goods, I told him via email that I would be leaving reviews about my experience working with him and filing a complaint with FMCSA. No surprise, this got me a response from Ryan where he told me, “An experience of itmes (sic) being missplaced and needing to be located isnt something that is special to your case or our company” as if that matters….? I am very understanding that things get lost, but his lack of responsiveness, assistance facilitating the claims process, and deceptive business practice are extremely problematic. Ryan has stopped answering my calls, texts, and emails, telling me to work with the moving companies directly, which is getting me nowhere because the delivery and pickup companies HE CONTRACTED OUT are both pointing the blame at each other. If Ryan is going to act as a broker, he should see his commitment through the claims settlement process but he has gone completely MIA for me. Do not use this business. There is nothing more disheartening than trusting someone with all your good, them losing them, and then them gaslighting you into acting like you’re being ridiculous, unruly, or difficult to work with when trying to right THEIR wrong.
