   Moving and Packing my Parents.

   So excited to have chosen this company. We had the best teams. The lovely ladies who packed and unpacked were so understanding and patient while working with my parents who were downsizing from 3200 square foot home to a 1200 square foot apartment. My mom has hydrocephalus which causes her trouble with memory and time issues, but they were so kind and handled her distress and anxiety professionally. The movers had a great team of men who actually came back to make sure my parents' sleep number adjustable bed was working properly after my parents were struggling with it. They also were very careful to ask were to put furniture and make adjustments. I can't say enough about how much easier they made -what was a difficult move- with their hard work and friendly personalities.

   Hidden fees.

   Called several companies to get assistance with packing up the house. Dependable Packers sounded so friendly and helpful. Received phone calls to confirm the number of people to come and assist. Was quoted 8 hours for $250.00. Not bad. Three ladies arrived. They did pack well however, the math is off. I was charged for 8 hours but they left after 21/2 hours. (A total of 7 1/2 man hours NOT 8!). Next I was charged with TWO trip charges to a total of almost $80. SERIOUSLY. nothing was mentioned about any trip charges. (The other vendors were up front with all charges). On top of that, the three ladies were car pooling. Since when do you pay to drive to your next appointment? THEN I was asked to tip!! So with all of their hidden charges, the $250 for 8 hours was $400 for 7 1/2 hours. So on Monday, I called to speak with the owner. Someone else, which was one of my packers, offered to help. When states I wanted to speak with the owner, I was told she had laryngitis. No problem. I will wait until she can speak for a return call. Over a month went by with no response. I called back. This time she called me within a day. She had no explanation of the two trip charges. She was going to pull my invoice and get back with me. I guess my invoice is in Alaska or somewhere. STILL no return phone call. Buyer beware. They have MANY hidden charges.

   Do Not Use This Company!

   I recently moved from Minnesota to Arizona. I was originally told by my rep at World Wide Van Lines that they use their own fleet of trucks and that my stuff was going to be loaded on one of their big semi-trucks. When the movers showed up (Dependable Movers) there were two guys (one in his late 60's!) driving a little Budget rent-a-truck. About 2/3 of the way through loading up my stuff they ran out of space on the truck. There is no way that should have happened as I sent World Wide a detailed inventory of everything being moved. The two guys then told me that they were NEVER TOLD of the estimated weight or shown the inventory list. All they were apparently told was that it was a small apartment. True it was, but it was jam packed with 6000 lbs of stuff! The two guys ended up putting some of my stuff into a local public storage unit (at their expense) and told me it would follow 1 week later. Well I am writing this review almost 3 weeks later I have yet to see the balance of my stuff! When my original load of items did arrive at my new home, there were countless cracked plastic totes, crushed boxes, broken items, dinged up furniture, and missing items that they were told specifically NOT to put in storage but to bring right away. To top it off, all the boxes and items were clearly marked as to what room they go in. Somehow, they still managed to misplace items in the wrong areas. If you are looking to move, I highly recommend that your DO NOT go with World Wide Van Lines or Dependable Movers. I shopped around before choosing them, but was na.
