   Missing microwave.

   4 men and a large truck arrived at our home at the appointed time on June 4, 2014.  All of the movers were friendly, efficient and polite.  Our move was about 3 miles and the move into the new house was smooth.  Very soon we realized that a small microwave (brand new and had never been used) was not at our new location.  We first checked our previous home and determined that it had not been left behind.  We contacted the Dodge Movers and reported the loss.  We were told they would send us papers to document the missing item.  We filled out the papers and returned them to the company.  After a rather long delay we received a letter from the company telling us that they had a policy that the truck was checked at the end of the day for any items left behind.  Since they didn't find our microwave the company was not responsible for our loss.  I realize all companies have policies, but writing a policy and ensuring that policy is always carried out is two different things.  We will definitely not use this company again. .

   DO NOT USE - they will take advantage of you.

   DO NOT USE. Very shady. They will try to take advantage of you. In my case, they gave me a bid and cost for 2 movers. They sent 3 (I was never asked nor given a quote what that would cost). While the move went faster, they tried to bill me for 3 movers. When I called them on it, they adjusted back to the 2 but then acted like they were doing me a favor for charging them what they quoted in the first place. They also took advantage of me by the movers having me initial their start/end times on a blank form that they filled in the times later. I have documented evidence that they did not start until 8:30am and also have my copy of the blank form but the movers marked their start time as 8am effectively charging me for a half hour I didn't use. If you do have to use them, keep a close eye on what they do as they will try to take advantage of you then act like they're doing you a favor. Barb, their employee, is really terrible at customer service as well. The movers were careful and nice. But it fell apart with the front office.
