   I've used First Rate a few times, for small and whole-home moves, and they are simply the best. When I needed to stage the home for sale, they removed the excess and stored it at their private facilities = peace of mind. The team is efficient, collegial, and polite. I will always call First Rate, first.

   I recently used First Rate Movers Inc. in Ottawa and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The team was punctual, arriving exactly on time and ready to work. They were extremely careful with all of my belongings, ensuring everything was properly wrapped, handled, and protected throughout the move. What impressed me most was how efficient and well-coordinated the crew was. Their team dynamics were excellent—everyone communicated clearly, worked seamlessly together, and maintained a positive, professional attitude the entire time. Moving can be stressful, but First Rate Movers made the process smooth and worry-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone needing reliable, high-quality movers.

   Todd and his crew were fabulous. Very professional and charming. Their work was outstanding. The move could not have gone any easier. They took excellent care of me and my belongings. I don’t know how they do it. No dilly dallying! I consider myself fortunate to have them move me. Moving is a big stress. I am not a youngster. I needed this team.

   First Rate Movers was a great experience throughout the entire process. Matt took some time with me on the phone which helped me feel at ease. On the day of the move, the movers arrived promptly and were ready to go. They wrapped all fragile items to ensure that nothing was damaged. This is the first move I have had where nothing was scratched or damaged. I would highly recommend them.

   Moving and storage

   First rate movers have been my number one company. I was impressed with their punctuality, respect and professionalism that I chose this company for my second move and storage. They are fast and efficient and careful when handling furniture and boxes. No damage to report and the crew was awesome to work with. Matt who handles the admin part was very patient and took the time to go over the numbers and explained to smallest detail of the transaction…. Overall smooth sailing process during a stressful time. Job well done and happy customer ?

   SPECTACULAR SERVICE.

   Having moved seven times in roughly fourteen years, I can attest to the quality and expertise First Rate Movers brings to the table - especially when compared to other companies we've dealt with. In our experience with them, there's only ever been one hitch, and they made a point of rectifying the issue immediately and to our complete satisfaction—one of the benefits of working with a fully insured, honest, and ethical company. Furthermore, not only have their estimates been bang on for the three last moves we had with them, but their level of organization and attention to detail cannot be beaten. And all of that at market-competitive rates. What more could you ask for? Simply put, First Rate Movers not only live up to their name, but in my opinion, they are without equal. They are the only option for us, and I don't see that ever changing. Do you want pros? Look no further. Do you want a great price and exceptional overall value? They're your guys. And lastly, if anything does go sideways, do you want a company that will take care of you? You bet. Rest assured, they will make it right—on the spot without delay. Positively fantastic.    Stress free and reliable movers

   I used "first rate movers" for my move once in 2010 and one more time recently, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. Matt Guest contacted me after I filled out the form on their website and described the number of items in the move after, and provided me with an estimate. Based on the positive experience I had with them ten years ago, I knew they would do a fantastic job! Moving day is often a very stressful day, and moving is often time-sensitive. It's really important to pick the right team for your job to avoid any surprises! Some take advantage of the client's situation and offer them cheap rates and then surprise them with higher costs when the day comes! The Matts team was professional and efficient and took great care of all my belongings. The move was completed on time and within the estimated budget. This move was for my elderly parents, so I wanted to make sure I hired the right team, so they can have a stress-free and smooth move. Matts team made sure they were comfortable during the move, the even prepared a room for them with some basics so they can sit and be safe while the move is being done. Communication was excellent, and all my questions were answered promptly. I highly recommend "first rate movers" to anyone looking for a stress-free moving experience.

   Moving to an apartment from a house

   Moving was a really awful and shocking experience . Since I moved with this company before , i trusted that they will do their best this time too. I received an estimate for 5 hrs but kept on sending information reducing the list and had the same amount of furniture as at the previous moves. (3 hr move) However the estimate did not change to fewer hours using the excuse that moving to an apartment takes so much longer. On the moving day the 3 guys rushed in and called Matt informing him that the move can be done in 3 hrs. (he admitted later... " since I was so organized, I should be happy about the shorter time....") They were rushing like mad and once they were in the apartment (1.5 hrs passed) they asked me to sign the contract that I will pay for 5 hrs.(I found that really strange but I was under stress) I was concerned if I don't sign they will not finish with the move. I signed and the move was finished in 3 hrs. I was told to pay for 5 hrs. because that was the contract. When I called Matt,he admitted "they need to take the truck to the repair shop before they go to the next client and I should be happy that they finished so fast" I was paying 2 hrs ($400.00) extra when the move took only 3 hours so that the company can take the truck for repair. Taking advantage of clients in that manner made me question the honesty and integrity of First Rate Movers. I do not recommend the company. I sincerely hope no person will have to go through this experience.
