   Don't, under any circumstances, use them!!

   Well, now that it appears that it is all over, I want to warn everyone in Florida. Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, hire Fresh Start Movers. I will tell you what happened to me. I hired them to move me from Sebring to Fort Myers. Most of you know that I cannot drive, and I needed to get closer to my doctors at The VA in Fort Myers. On the day of the move, they arrived but didn't have enough boxes, so a trip to Home Depot was necessary. My brother took me to my new residence and dropped me off. The movers finally arrived at around 9 pm and said it would cost more money due to the fact that my new residence was on the 2nd floor. We called my bank, which, of course was closed, but a bank officer told the movers that he would earmark the amount and have it wired to them on the next business day. The movers said that wasn't good enough, they had to have it right away, and said they were leaving. I said "My heart medication is in there, I must have it!" They said no and left. Kozy and I slept on the floor, and on Monday afternoon, they arrived and delivered my belongings. I called the office and told them that I was elderly, disabled, and it would be probably a month before I determined what was damaged and/or missing. They said fine, just let them know when I figured out what the items were. So, when I finally finished my inventory, I called them. They emailed me a form which I filled out and sent back. After not hearing from them, I called them this morning. They said the claim, which, by the way, was pretty small, only $200, was denied because 1) claims must be made within 48 hours of the move and 2) I did not put the weight of the damaged/missing items. Of course, none of this, especially the 48 hours was told to me at the start. If you have to move, don't even give these jack_@@es a thought.
