   Fantastic!!!

   Gentlemen Movers moved my family between states from South Carolina to North Carolina. The move was flawless in every way! They took so much of the stress out of the equation of moving. Would highly recommend!

   Robert Marye, the owner of gentleman movers, has been in business for over 20 years. I found him to bean honest person that is willing to work with you. He has competent workers. Genuinely cares about making your move a smooth process.

   Robert and his team are fantastic. They were able to get all my stuff moved out of state at last minute. Estimate for job Was spot on and they were able to move my piano. Definitely recommend and Will use again.

   My move involved three locations and an 8-hour day. The three movers were polite, highly competent, worked well together, and went out of their way to be sure I was pleased. I can’t recommend this company highly enough. The charge was very reasonable.

   Gentlemen live up to their name.

   We have suffered through numerous moves over the years, but this one went the smoothest. We had to move quickly and unexpectedly but gentlemen movers was so accommodating to our immediate need and fast turnaround. Lee was our lead guy, who was courteous and professional. Two younger men completed the team. These two young men were very respectful and anxious to please. The company went out of its way to help make a very stressful event much more palatable. I would highly recommend them.

   Local Move.

   The best local move ever! They were professional and polite. They got the job done quickly, but with care. We even had them move a baby grand piano without issue. They were on time and even sent an extra person with no charge. We have moved many times both locally and across the country and I would put this in the category of one of the best local movers!

   Horrible Moving Experience

   I had a guaranteed and fixed price from Gentlemen Movers move based on an in-home inspection that included Disassembly & Assembly for every walk thru items for our house. Gentlemen Movers [1001 Pinnacle Point Dr ste #112, Columbia, SC 29223,803.319.3646] added additional stress to this situation by leaving thing in mess and handled each step unprofessionally. I am writing this experience so others can learn from this and safeguard from not using Gentlemen Movers for their short or long-distance move. Here are the following listed items that I came across & like to share. 1) Charging almost 20% again then then agreed price & charging credit card without consent. After moving Gentle movers directly charged my credit card for $1265 without my consent which was requested much more money than they quoted originally. We had a fixed price moving quote of that was fully paid in chequ. I have requested to pay only by cheque but charged my credit card without asking or taking permission. Pls pls dont share credit card information with company to avoid unexpected charges. 2) Lost parts to my Swings/Bed/Furniture/Dome and generally made a huge mess of personal things 3) Scratched our Steps/Refrigerators/Furniture/Wall/Floor etc 4) Left many things unassembled & Movers left house saying they need to return to Columbia & they will not be able perform rest of agreed upon service e.g Swing/Dome unassembled, Left TV on ground & said they are out of time. 5) Master/Bunk Bed were assembled with just few screws leaving it dangerous & hazardous condition to sleep. 6) Tempurpedic mattress has been damaged with water during the move & smelling bad. I am yet to uncover other things & making me nervous. 7) MOvers used 2 kids while unloading the truck & they could barely lift load. 8) The movers were not experienced , complain that they didn’t expected to unscrew door for moving fridge/other basic items like sofa. Moving is already stressful enough & the made it worst to it best.

   Gentlemen Movers Nightmare.

   I used them for a move in 11/18.The moving staff, Ean and Gary were on time and friendly. If you value your furniture, DO NOT use them. They did not wap some of my living room furniture and ripped some of the fabric and left scrathes on the items because , "they ran out of wrapping for the furniture" Make sure you get the highest level of insurance with them. I took the cheapest insurance and only got $60 taken off my bill for the sofa and chair they ruined. Also, the movers and I agreed to meet 45 minutes after they left my apartment to my new residence. The movers said they needed to get gas and food. The driver even said your new plac e is only 5 minutes away. The distance to both residences is 3 miles.They did arrive on time to my new residence but wanted ME to pay for the entire 45 minutes that they were not moving me. I would say this company is shady at best. Use them at your own risk.

    Beware!

    Added additional charges after initially agreeing to a fixed price..stated $2500 was the cost but charged us $3200; failed to evaluate the amount of furniture that needed to be moved prior to moving us; did not provide enough manpower to accomplish our move; said move would only take 2 days, but took 3 days instead; charged our credit card without informing us.; move was not what we expected. You are taking a risk if you use them!
