   Best moving company ever.

   Great experience working with Grace Moving Company. Relocated for work from Santa Cruz to Modesto and had very short timeline to move houses. I called Sally on a Wednesday and she was able to scheduled a three man crew for the job on Sunday, which is an amazingly short response time. Employees were very knowledgeable, patient, careful, and quick in both loading and unloading. Given the travel time needed and amount of stuff to transport, the staff remained in good spirits and helpful all the way through from the first box to the last box nearly 12 hours later, and while waving from the truck as they drove away. I hadn't ever used a moving company prior, but will hire Grace Moving Company again for any of my moving needs in the future. I can't recommend them highly enough. Moving is a pain, but this company made it much, much easier.

   I spoke to Jason several times and booked my move. He was sending two guys and a large truck. I was moving a two bedroom two bath apartment. I paid for a large truck and two movers. My move was supposed to be packed and delivered in 2 hours. It was a 2-hour job. On moving day, he showed up an hour and a half late by himself. He said that the other mover was coming in a few minutes.He didn't bring a big truck, he brought a small box truck. We got in a huge argument, I told him that I paid for a two bedroom two bathroom move, large truck and two movers for a 2-hour move. He argued that I did not. And I had it all written down. He said if I didn't like the current situation that he would just leave. Well obviously that wasn't going to work. I told him that my furniture would not be able to fit into that small truck and he said he would make two trips if it was necessary. He moved my entire apartment by himself. I don't think another mover was ever coming. I told him I was calling Jason. Apparently I figured out afterwards that HE WAS Jason. He filled up the truck with my living room furniture, dining room furniture and part of the kitchen and that took half a day. When he was almost filling up the truck, I drove to my new apartment. And waited for him to deliver the furniture. He delivered it and tried to dump it all in my dining room which is right by the front door. I told him that each piece needs to go in the room it belongs in the boxes are all labeled. He was not happy. He banged up walls, dented furniture and then left for the second load. Within 2 hours, he was back with two other guys but they were obviously not movers. They helped him and they were super nice. Before he unloaded the truck with the second load, he wanted more money or he was going to keep my stuff. So I had to give him more money. The next day I had to go to my old apartment to vacuum and clean it up . He left a bunch of stuff after I specifically asked him if he got everything. This guy rips people off. I'm a single female and disabled. He completely took advantage of me. Don't believe the good reviews. Most likely they are his friends.

   Grace Moving are Incompetent Movers

   After months I decided to write this review. Grace movers showed up without mask, I had to give them one, they had the guts to ask for a tip in cash before they started. They told me they don't wrap the furniture in the house on short moves that they will wrap it in the truck. After I told them that they needed to take the doors off the refrigerator they said they could get it out without taking off the doors. well they put a big dent in the door. when I called in the problem they said they would take care of it. After a week I called and they told me that I didn't get the extra insurance they would only give me $200.00. (That Refrigerator had to go in the garage). Later I found out the most of my Furniture had dents and scratches and some of my boxes are missing. My Advice Don't use Grace Moving. 08/19/21 Jesse Page

   Stole my items off of truck.

   One star is to many!!  Business is also Grace Moving Co. in Modesto, CAThey STOLE my items right off the truck.  I moved in June from California to Colorado, truck delivered items 2 days before my daughter & I arrived. I was to send payment to them when I arrived. I first wanted to see how the move went.  To my dismay, almost all furniture items were; broken, warped from to many heavy items place on it, dented and dinged-all antiques. An antique hutch had it's latch broken when the loader tried to pry the door open. Approximately, 80% of the furniture was placed in the garage and not put in the house. I had a friend here to direct placement, but they wanted to hurry. I had to hire another company to place furniture in the house-upstairs or in basement.  They took advantage of me not being here and probably the female that was here.The most unbelievable issue is they STOLE items from the loaded truck the night before they left for Colorado. They even stole items out of the packing material. I was not planning on un-packing all boxes-since I was in temporary housing. So I do not even know the extent of what they have taken. I asked numerous times-day after day where is: bike, dolly, antique mirror, suitcase, decor items, blankets, and the list goes on. First I was told they were not aware of anything missing-denial, then as the list grew; I was told they would ask the driver-that took over a week. Meanwhile, I was not paying them a dime when they stole from me and had thousands of dollars' worth of damages. We were to have a conference call-owners, me, driver, manager, never happened. I was told some things were taken off to make room for additional items at my daughters house-without my knowledge, permission and definitely not needing to do that. We knew everything at my daughters house was not going to fit and they were going to get it later that week and send with-in 30days-items we were willing to leave, knew about and gave permission to do so-still they Stole my items. I have never heard from them again nor seen my items.I would never go with this company, especially when they operate with such deceit and lack of care for belongings.
