   Movers Never Showed Up!

   I was scheduled for a move on Monday 03/02/2015. Being the organized person I am completed my reservations on 02/04/2015 (almost a MONTH IN ADVANCE). During this period I continued to reach out to the company via text reminding them of my move. I contacted them twice (1 week prior and the night before) just to confirm our arrangements. Needless to say the morning of my move the company NEVER SHOWED UP! I called and spoke to a guy (not sure of his name) who told me they were having truck problems and could not move me. He left me with two options to call another company or wait until the next day and he would see if he could move me then. Outraged at this point I explained to him how UNPROFESSIONAL it is to not call and contact me with this einf I was scheduled for a move on Monday 03/02/2015. IMAGINE it’s the 2nd of the month, I know have to worry about paying more at my current storage and where I currently resided (as I was moving from two locations) and find new movers who could commit to squeezing me into their schedule for SAME DAY DELIVERY.       With much Prayer and turning my station to Joel Esteen I regrouped and contacted AB MOVERS who after explaining my situation worked with me to accommodate a special rate. Granted the rate was not the same as Houston for less ($55 for 2 movers and 70 trip cost) but they came as close as they could and threw in a 3rd man! The AB Movers provided a courtesy call, showed up on time, completed my “two locations to the 3rd floor” move in 2.5 hours!!   I actually spent about the same amount of money as I would have with the first movers.. giving that I gave them a very generous tip!!   I should have known not to do business with the first company – Houston Movers for Less, the guy only communicated via text and a few phone calls, and the day before he moved my cousin and tried to overcharge her with fees that were not discussed or listed on the paperwork he provided. The head mover even tried to take more cash from her and write a different amount on the invoice/receipt.   At any rate if you are looking for great movers contact AB Movers: 281-570-7383  .
