Needed movers during bad weather.
We had two large fully packed pods and no one to empty them so they could be ready for pick up day. With only a moment’s notice Andrew (manager) arranged quickly to unload both pods that same day!! They were Efficient and careful. Extremely reasonable fee! Thanks Andrew??

Top notch local and statewide mover.
Excellent customer service from the booking of the service to the move. They were on time and worked very hard. They finished in less time than expected and nothing was broken. I would recommend Joe’s moving company to anyone who is looking to move: Thank you for awesome service.

Dishonest & Careless
The crew placed our leather armchair upside down on gravel (ie - the leather side down!). They also broke the leg on our dining room table and didn't even have the courtesy to let us know. They wrapped nothing, it was an absurdly careless move. Worst of all, after all of that, Andrew tried to charge me hundreds more than we agreed on (this was a flat rate long distance move). The move in took an hour longer than estimated, so I was okay with paying them their hourly rate for that, but he was asking me to pay much more than that. Worst of all, even though I was the one who had taken notes on what we agreed on and had asked him to put it in writing (he never did), Andrew accused me of misremembering what we had agreed on. He is the epitome of unprofessional and I'm eager to read his characteristic reply.
Response from Joe's Moving
Unfortunately this customer has created a false review with no evidence except a picture of an upside down couch…. Blankets were used with all the furniture and there is no evidence the movers damaged the items except for the broken items already pointed out prior to the move…the customer acknowledged his previous damage but was upset when the move was more than discussed due to false representation for delivery (2nd floor).. The move was successful just a disagreement with extra work required… We tried to explain to the customer but his anger superseded basic reasoning…We apologized for the $200 increase however it pays to be honest about the factors for the move. Joe’s Moving has been operating for over 41 years with an A+ rating with the BBB, 4.7 stars reviews on Google and has been top 5 movers for the past 15 years in best of Albuquerque Magazine. We are not known for dishonesty for our reputation. Unfortunately moving is very stressful and it affects some people more than some. We will pray for the customer to understand and come to peace with reality. Blessing to her ?

Totally Ripped Off
I’m not one to leave reviews but I feel cheated by Joe’s Moving. I booked with them because I had read reviews and heard good things so I was surprised by my experience with them. They were understaffed (totally understandable for the time we are living in right now) so they sent two men, one with experience and a 16 year old that had never done the job. I was quoted 3 hours, as I really do not have that much stuff and I thought that was perfect. When they got to my house, as I was showing them what to move I kept getting the feeling that I was asking too much. The 16 year old was on his phone (I have a video of it because I didn’t want my complaint to seem unwarranted) even though I was paying by the hour. After almost 5 hours of slowly loading the truck, I just told them to take what they had loaded and I would move the rest myself because it was taking so long and about to break my bank account. It took them almost 6 hours to finish the job. I called Andrew afterward and even he was surprised by how long it look and offered me a $100 refund. After waiting a few days, I checked in with Andrew about the refund and he left my message on read and I did not receive anything. I waited another week to reach out, and again, he read my message and never responded. My sister used All My Sons Moving, she had twice the amount of stuff as me and lived 45 minutes away from the new house and they did the job in less than 3 hours and were so friendly and kind. I showed them the stuff I had and told them my experience with Joe’s and they were appalled. I was completely taken advantage of and I’m so disappointed in this experience. I had to get help the next day to move the rest of my stuff because they couldn’t finish the job.
Response from Joe's Moving
This customer was very nice at first however had left a scorching review based on a phone call a mover received from the manager regarding the move. We explained we were shorthanded and sent a less experienced worker that day with a foreman and the walk from the truck was longer than expected so it took longer than she expected. The movers could not control the factors for the moves however we have her a discount and she was still not happy. We will pray for this customer she will understand moving is stressful but in the end we all will be ok. Blessing to her.

Response from Joe's Moving
Hi Jasmine, Our deepest apologies for the move you had experienced. After talking with you about your move you had hired Joes moving to perform for you it seemed like a typical move. I did not realized the condition of the units your items were in over the phone however when the movers showed up your 10x15 units was packed full to the ceiling with loose items, torn boxes and lots of heavy furniture. The other 9x12 unit was also a challenge but not the extent of the first unit. The movers said you were not on site the entire day and didn’t witness what they had encountered. It seemed the movers had to sort through loose items not packed, re tape broken boxes and organize the mess packed into those two units. The part that was the trick was to transport all the items into two smaller units on the 2nd floor with an elelvator, about 50’-75’ down the hall. It was no easy task to put all those items into smaller units unless they were put in the same way they were packed into initially. I spoke with both movers and both of them said it was very disorganized, cluttered and it was a long walk on the unload. It was not as you made it out to be. Ultimately it will take longer for more work. If everything was in boxes and in order and ground level with not a long walk things would have been different. I don’t think it is fair to ask anyone for a last minute job and bash us because of circumstances out of your and our control. The men worked hard and did a excellent job with this difficult task you asked of them. I will tell you moving is very stressful and on top of you caring for your grand daughter because your daughter is unable to is putting you through more stress. The circumstances we all encountered was very unfortunate but this is how moving goes. You were not at the job site until the end and didn’t witness it first hand. We work by the hour so the move can get quite expensive. I apologize for that as well. I pray whom ever you use to move these storage units again will be warned fairly. It will prepare anyone in advance. That being explained we wanted to let you know Joe’s Moving is here for you 7 days a week to help. Joe’s Moving has been in business coming up to 40 years and and has an A+ rating with the better business bureau. 4.6 star rating on google and still serving the entire state of New Mexico. Thank you for using Joe’s Moving Jasmine. God bless you and your family. Respectfully, Andrew - GM Joe’s Moving “Moving with Tender Loving Care” Albuquerque, NM.

Worse Moving Experience Ever.
Hired to load a full Budget truck. Brandon was fine,Other gentlemen was mentally Ill, I believe Joes Packed us up on Friday, August 21st. Brandon, the lead was fine. However the other gentlemen, the owners supposed brother is truly mentally ill, and perhaps belongs in an insane asylum. Over 50 times he stated that the boxes are not packed correctly, and that it took a 100 dozen pads to move correctly. I have moved over 34 times in my life, but this was the worst nightmare imaginable I understand that this company just changed ownership, but I would not advise anyone to use them. All the fine furniture is nicked and scratched, new powder-coated metal dining room chairs are trashed. I had very valuable antique oil paintings that were punched through`. Thinking seriously of returning to Albuquerque to bring a lawsuit against them. DON'T USE THEM!
Response from Joe's Moving
Joe’s moving has been moving for over 42 years and understands the stress customers have during a move. Unfortunately damage does occur without the proper protection for the items loaded into the trucks. It is best to have more padding than not enough. We provide standard liability insurance but our insurance is for items transported while in our care. Once the truck departs our insurance does not continue. We apologize for your experience and pray you are better prepared for your next move.

Joe's Moving, Inc.
Joe's Moving packed the contents of our entire kitchen. One cabinet of dishes was left behind. Andrew (General Mgr) shipped the 2 boxes via UPS. He assured me items were packed well. I asked that he insure the shipping. Items were not wrapped in bubble wrap, boxes were not marked "fragile" and were not insured. When I called and e-mailed Andrew regarding the broken bowls, platters, plates, etc. I received no response. I contacted the Better Business Bureau in NM, who in turn, contacted Joe's Moving. They denied they had moved us, even though I have many e-mails back and forth from Andrew (the owner's son) regarding our move. Since they insisted on cash, I had no credit card recourse. I would not recommend using Joe's Moving under any circumstances!
Response from Joe's Moving
This move was successful except for one drawer which was overlooked and packed and shipped via UPS and insured….Unfortunately the package was damaged during transit and the customer refused to activate the insurance already paid for. We explained to the customer unfortunately they retaliated with a poor review. Moving can be very stressful for most people and this situation was no different. We pray the customer will understand the nature of moving and find forgiveness in their hearts to come to peace.
