Everything we own was destroyed
On September 5th Luxe Moving loaded all our belongings onto a Penske truck in Redondo Beach CA to drive to Troy MI. When the truck left everything was packed and organized perfectly. When the truck arrived at our storage unit on September 9th it looked like a bomb went off in the truck. Everything was damaged, destroyed, or missing. There is over $30,000 worth of damage. [NAME EDIT], the CEO of Luxe Moving told us he would not sweep this under the rug and would not rest until this got resolved. He has lied and changed his story several times about what occurred during the trip. He blames Penske truck leasing for the damage and says they owe us money for reimbursement. Penske has denied the claim and says they didn’t even sign the proper rental agreement to allow them to use the truck for moving peoples furniture. After 6 weeks we are left with a storage unit full of garbage and no one taking responsibility or offering to help. At this point we will have to accept the loss but we hope to inform as many people and file complaints so they don’t do this to other families.
