   Good experience.

   We hired Major van lines, and do not regret that decision at all.   I would HIGHLY recommend Major to anyone..not only were they prompt and careful, but they even came in under the estimate and were VERY Honest and Fair in pricing!!Remember to tip your packers/movers, as they deserve it, and when I did both days the crews were very gracious and grateful!  :-)Thank you Major Van Lines!! .

   Great Moving experience.

   I was trying to help my daughter move from North Carolina to Houston so researched some moving companies on line.  Major Van Lines seemed to be the best on all counts - reasonable, easy to communicate with. Sara was wonderful and always ready to answer my questions/concerns. The furniture arrived in Texas the day before my daughter flew there, she had to call them as she landed and they were able to deliver that day.  Great service - would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use them again.  Thank you.

   Diligent workers.

   Major van lines did a great job for me and my family. They moved our possessions from New York to Maine. Anyone who is looking for a mover can hire them without a second thought. From the beginning they showed me their efficiency. All their workers have been equally diligent. Before arriving at my home on moving day, their driver called me to remind me. I was ready actually. So there was no hassle happened from my side. The crews of Major van lines brought enough boxes to put our all items. I had tons of fragile items and there were some breakable art sculpture. They packed in crates those important valuables. I want to thank them once again for taking special care on these particular items. Their delivery was absolutely fine with no damages or missing or breakage. I am looking forward for my next relocation with this mover.

   Disappointed on Delivery Time.

   Major Van Lines quote was higher than others but I went with them because I wanted a stress free move.  Unfortunately I found that they overpromised and underdelivered.  I was told it would take 10 days but the reality was it took 20 days for my stuff to get delivered.  What was even more disappointing is that Major Van Lines seemed to disengage once they picked up my stuff and instead just gave me the number of a dispatch person to call to get info and offered no help when the day kept moving to the right.  They did not even have the courtesy to return my phone calls when I called asking for information/help when the date kept moving.  It was frustrating to say the least. I chose to give them an average rather than unsatisfactory rating however because all my stuff eventually arrived and I found just a couple glasses and bowls were broken in transit and I noticed that a couple of my boxes had additional tape and wrap around them which made me feel like there was some care taken while my things were in transit.     If I were to move again I will look at other companies. .

   Chose a Different Company.

   My son moved from North Carolina to Ohio. The move went smoothly. However, after the movers left, my son noticed that the knob on his washing machine had gotten broken during the move. Major Van Lines indicated that they would pay for the damages. However, it's been 3 months and we haven't seen anything! I have contacted them repeatedly!! They use caller ID so they never answer when I call. They were extremely nice while I was arranging my move and now I can't even get a hold of them! All I can say is run, look elsewhere for a moving company. They are quick to take your money, but they are NOT willing to reimburse you for any damages that may occur during the move.

   Horrible moving company.

   I booked my move over 2 months ago for Saturday July 25th. They did not show up. They called and said they would be at my house the next morning, no show. Another mover called me and said they we're dispatched from Sacramento. ..I live in San Diego. They didn't get here until 5 00 pm. The mover had a bad attitude right when he pulled up saying he was scheduled for 3 jobs today, but was taken off those jobs to drive Down to pick up our stuff. He was rude, unprofessional and looked like just got out jail. He increased our price by $2000 and would not supply me with a new inventory list, before I signed.a.new contract. I could go on more about how horrible this company is but I really don't want to waste my time on this incompetent company. The guy left and I found another company to move us. I think this whole moving industry is broken.

   The Worst Moving Experience!

   Major Van Lines was, without a doubt, the WORST moving company I ever dealt with in the US! Please, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company! They give false information about their prices and quotes and are completely incompetent in the way they handle adversity! We hired this place to move us from Texas to California because they fooled my husband into making a great deal as he was a veteran, then by the time they came.. view more to take our furniture away, they had the audacity to charge double of what was previously agreed upon! So, anyone who relies on a budget will suffer if hiring this company! Their employees seemed unprepared for their task and took TWO DAYS to pack and load everything. Their delay caused us to expend more money on hotels and take longer time for us to be able to arrive in California in the time that was planned. They FOOL YOU into thinking that your furniture and belongings will be delivered in 3 to 5 days (that's what they advertise!), but in reality they take 14 BUSINESS DAYS (almost three weeks) to deliver your belongings as this is the maximum time described in their contract! We arrived in California from Texas in 2 days and half; they took THREE WEEKS to deliver our furniture and arrived in California with ONLY THE DRIVER to work on EVERYTHING from delivering/unloading to assembling our furniture! I was in shock throughout the whole experience! With ONLY ONE PERSON to do EVERYTHING it took three times the amount of time to finish the work and forced us into assisting him, as a result we ended up doing the job that should have been done by THEIR WORKERS! In addition, we had several items broken, damaged, scratched, cracked, and lost!! They misplaced simples things such as a   Major Van Lines was, without a doubt, the WORST moving company I ever dealt with in the US! Please, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company! When we called them to know the status of our belongings, they were constantly defensive and quite clueless!! Save yourself some major headache and disappointment and choose a better moving company!! We have moved several times from one state to another and I NEVER witnessed so much INCOMPETENCE before in my life! They are HORRIBLE to deal with and their standards are the lowest one can ever experience in this business!!  .
