   Nice Job!

   Daniel and Jack did a fine job for me. They were fast, efficient, and professional. The New City Moving took great care of my personal belongings. The movers put my furniture together when we arrived at the new location. In addition, the price they gave was more than reasonable. I will recommend using them!

   On the day of moving, I had a great moving team and company too. They made our move so much easier than it needed to be, and we really appreciate all of their hard work. They worked efficiently and were organized. I highly recommend them!

   BEWARE. Poor value of services and customer service. Rate ZERO stars.

   The broker for this move was New City Moving and Storage (“Broker”) (US DOT: 3059125) with the mover Febex Moving and Storage (“Mover”) (US DOT: 3510454). I am filing a complaint against the Broker and Mover for deceiving the customer on the value of services provided, taking advantage of the customer during COVID-19 by grossly overestimating the volume of goods to be carried, and damaging nearly all goods during the move due to unprofessional packing and gross negligence. The Broker led the customer to believe that its company operated its own fleet of carriers and had leading industry reviews, pointing to THIS website on provided March 5, 2021 - . The customer was assured that the broker only worked with top rated movers which was completely DISINGENOUS (read further and I've attached some pictures of their so called "top rated" Mover's work). The Broker priced two separate moving estimates with the customer providing the volume for the first based on a competing quote from Allied Van Line Services and the other broker generated. Since the Broker did not provide at home consultations to estimate inventory, the customer had to resort to companies that did to build a reference basis (Allied Van Line Services). The customer was willing to pay up to 30% more should the professional movers deem the volume to be more based on the second quote priced by the Broker. However, the Mover at the time of pickup increased the volume by nearly 85%, and would not begin loading equipment prior to agreeing to the gross overcharge. The Mover also mentioned that the Broker always undershoots significantly! The customer was put under significant duress to sign paperwork and threatened that the movers would walkout leaving the customer stranded. The broker at the same time would not acknowledge the revised quote (30% lift) since that wasn’t signed yet it was recorded in their system. The customer looked to protect itself with a higher quote but was left at the mercy of the packers. Moreover, the Mover driver at the time of delivery made it clear that the furniture delivered was closer to the original quote (435 cu.ft). He had also countersigned, attesting on a separate piece of paper the inventory of all the major equipment that was damaged because he was shocked and disappointed on the level of packing that led to nearly all the furniture being damaged. This move was a full service with packing paid by the customer. The packers from the Mover that came to pack in California were very unprofessional and disgruntled as they hurried out the door to get to another job. Packers were seen dumping the items into boxes without wrapping them carefully. The customer had also requested the Broker to coordinate with the drivers to include wardrobe boxes in the truck, and despite confirming on a phone conversation and in an email, no wardrobe boxes were brought. This created more difficulty during the packing. The packers also left behind other items that the customer needed to pack in their own car such as extra suitcases with clothes, bathroom supplies, small paintings, kitchen rack for food. This all had to be done despite paying for full packing service. When items were finally delivered to the destination in Kentucky, almost every furniture item was damaged. Dining table chairs and office chairs were not wrapped in any blanket or any protective covering. Both the mattresses were also not wrapped (despite customer providing a full queen mattress cover which came back missing), resulting in dirty, damaged mattresses. Dining table glass was shattered (not even unloaded due to safety reasons) wrapped in cardboard only, while the TV had only blankets for protection. The TV was shattered. Legs of many of the furniture items were not wrapped and thus the legs came broken such as couch, bed, dresser etc. Upon opening boxes many of the porcelain and china kitchen items were dumped into the box without any wrap/layering for protection. The customer was also not provided a copy of the RIGHTS and RESPONSIBILITIES MANUAL yet was put in a situation under duress where he had to sign paperwork acknowledging that he did receive it.

   Worst Company Scammers Thieves

   Not only did they lie about the money aspect of my move but I had to leave all my furniture behind they would keep my deposit if I canceled so I proceeded to move from Florida to Illinois said my truck would deliver my stuff Wednesday or Thursday no show can’t find driver customer service is no help given me run around still no explanation of where my belongings are have me sick to death can’t believe a company can steal someone’s whole home and not give an answer to where my stuff is called attorney and every police department filing a civil suit thank god I keep all receipts of my purchases and took photos of my belongings before move not even an apology or explanation of where my stuff is or anything filing with BBB and what ever I can do Twitter media and news station I can reach out to I’m going to fight them to my last breath please I urge no one to use this company looking for people who they did wrong to help me fight them 8157939835 no company should or will get away with this if it’s my last Dying wish please help me fight this company I’m contacting all news stations and media I can I have truck plate number and posted all over social media please help to get this company out of business

   Sold our Deal to another company, which was awful

   New City team were no call no show for the agreed pickup window, and I had to hound them to get a truck. Truck arrives eventually, and is from a different company that New City had subcontracted to. This new company proceeded to damage items, fail to deliver valuables (were missing from the boxes they were packed in) and unloaded things in the driveway of the new home. Did not abide by signed agreement, and there is no way for the customer to do anything about it.

   Abysmal service

   I decided to go with new city moving and storage because of my initial contact they were very enthusiastic and helpful with getting the process going. That is exactly where the effort stopped. Cesar the representative I spoke to assured me several times things are going to be picked up in orderly fashion and gave me dates and times. On the first initial pick up I was not included in the knowledge that the truck suddenly had broken down. I had called several times during the day only to receive voicemails. The next day again no communication at all. Finally after the third day able to reach an assistant James I received the same treatment, no follow up no information. And the fifth day I finally got a hold of corporate in Chicago who is the one person that was helpful named Kevin. Even with his attempt to pick up the fumble this still was not done my car is still sitting where it is and I have decided not To use this unprofessional company. I would stay away if I was you

   Horrible Company

   I’m only 12 days in on this move and it has been a nightmare since day 1. I’m expecting to never see my entire household goods ever again. They are currently being held hostage by another company that New City contracted out to. Like other complaints, they are saying I have 500 cu ft over quoted amount and until I pay up, they’re not going to deliver. At this point I have no idea the location of my goods and New City will not answer phones and voice boxes are full so you can’t even leave messages. New City has received their portion of money so they don’t care what happens now. Save yourself the grief and headache and choose another company.

   Totally stole over 3400 dollars from us!!!! Booked them for my move from New Jersey to Florida in June … Road runner movers another moving company not even new city moving showed up 5 hours late in the day with a SMALL Budget truck and the driver told me he couldn’t move me!!!! TOTAL DISASTER with total DISREGARD for us!! …Was told by Road Runner driver he knew he couldn’t move me but didn’t want to lose his job !!! Road Runner not New City Moving also moved my parents and once again Road Runner shows up ….. multiple items broken…. My poor 83 year old mom crying and hysterical Nothing was packaged properly including them putting a copy machine on top of my moms gallery vase. BROKEN in pieces!!! STAY AWAY!!! They Won’t even return our phone calls !!!! THIEVES!!!! And to KEN who was the New City Moving employee your unprofessionalism and IGNORING every phone call from us and leaving us STRANDED in New Jersey thanks a lot !!! NEW CITY MOVING SUCKS!!!!

   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

   Signed a contract with New City Moving & Storage weeks ago saying they agreed to pack and move my house on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of this week. No emails or calls this week confirming a time when the truck will show up. They finally answer yesterday, Thursday July 29 at 4pm EST, and they say they haven't found a carrier yet. They then tell me that they are working on finding one, and then 45 minutes later they tell me that "the truck broke down" and they can try to find one by Monday. We sold our house and have to be moved out today. They say WE are in breach of our contract and will not be refunded the $1,000 deposit.

    Auto Shipping-dishonest and horrible customer service

    Do not hire this company to ship your stuff. The worst company i contact to ship my car from WV to MN. From day first they are lier and they charged my account. From last three weeks, they did not scheduled to pick my car, after countless phone calls but no one ever contact me back. Do not trust them and their business are fake over-phone. Don't believe all the fake reviews.
