   Highly recommend and will definitely use again. Communication before and after the move was efficient. They arrived on time and were extremely professional. They even discarded all the boxing for me after we unpacked.

   Back in 2003 and 2005-may have been a while ago but BEST moving co I have ever used---EVER--It rained the entire weekend-more than ever before or since AND they were moving things from three different places to one and the men worked tirelessly-feeding them afterwards was the least I could do + gave each man $100 for the efforts they made--the deserved it.

   As a renter, I have moved a lot. Moving is a pain. Make it less a pain and go with NorthStar. Here’s why your pain remedy is NorthStar. During a move, so many things can go wrong—and for my last move, it seemed everything did. A star guided me to Wendy at NorthStar through those darkest days of moving. NorthStar went so far beyond what anyone could anticipate, I am left in shock. Five gold stars any day of the week. Miscommunication had taken place, and the building that I was moving into had given away the elevator timeslot. I told NorthStar this, and we rescheduled for the following day to move my items into the new building. NorthStar would hold my items overnight. Day of the move. I had asked how long it would take to move a 1 bedroom and was told about 4 hours-5 hours. I asked if we could switch my appointment with NorthStar to the afternoon, since I had to work in the morning. When the movers showed up, we only had a few hours to move everything out of a very large 1400-sq-ft 1 bedroom. I had everything packed, except a few unboxed items. We worked at high speed until the building staff said that if we continued, I could receive a fine of over $1,000. NorthStar and I decided to stop. We had moved most of my items out, but we had 8 biggest need-an-elevator items left: couch, lamp, bookshelf, bar stools, bed, chair, and 2 TVs. While the great Northstar crew were confident that we would figure it out, I felt disheartened and discouraged. Wasting money is why it was disheartening. Each time the elevator is reserved/used at my old building it is $250, but a whopping $500 at the new building. Having to do a second move meant $750 more in elevator fees alone. Now I’d also have to pay for a full second day of movers coming and loading, driving, and unloading the truck. I estimated all that would cost at least an additional $1,400 even though it is only 15 miles from downtown Los Angeles to Marina Del Rey. A second day meant an extra $1,400 expenses. Gets better. The mattress had gone in the truck, but not the frame of the bed. I didn’t have a bed so I tried to book a hotel, but it was 11pm, so late that nothing was available. So couch at my old place it was. Literally, everything went wrong. Well I did have couch. The Wendy Lady The next day, Wendy called me and asked me about the move and heard about all the issues. She came in eager to solve problems, and that she did. She never tired, and her energy kept me going just when I was ready to give up. I talked to the staff at the building I was moving from and to, and they said that the soonest I could have the elevator again was Monday. Scheduling problem: Saturday, my current apartment had to be clear because a crew was coming to sand and finish the unit’s wall-to-wall hardwood floor. Sunday, the cleaning crew would arrive. Monday, I had to give it back to the landlord. With all the items left, how could all that get done? Wendy took on the challenge and went for it. At first, NorthStar didn’t have a crew available so I had booked another company, but Wendy was persistent. She said that if Northstar started something, they were going to get the job done. She found another crew, and I was able to get the elevator at my old place. Wendy and her Northstar crew did get it done. They got the items out of the unit in time for all the work to take place. They offered to waive fees for driving and provide free storage. They really went so far and beyond what even your parents would do it is crazy. The workers stayed late and drove my stuff to a storage unit that I had rented in Venice to store the items until the other elevator became available. They never stopped working. It was incredible. Furniture piece after furniture piece, they moved. More companies need to be like NorthStar. Not just get the job done. But take customer service to such an extreme that it is at a level where the customer is wondering what just happened. Who are these people? Companies don’t do things like this. But Wendy at NorthStar did. If you are looking for a moving company whom you can depend on and can hold accountable, NorthStar are your movers. Thank you, Wendy, for being the star who pointed me in the right direction. Thank you, NorthStar for guiding me get home.

   Great pack and move.

   I reviewed Northstar 7 years ago when we first used them for a full pack and move, and I'm reviewing them again because 7 years later they were EVEN BETTER. Ron Cohen once again was the awesome point of contact, the manager who helped make all of the arrangements for me. He sent an AWESOME crew, of William P (the leader), Jorge L and Bryant, and those 3 packed us up SO well, and went above and beyond asking us what we still needed or even just mildly preferred to not have packed yet, and they left those things on purpose. This was huge since we have a newborn with many helpful devices we got to keep that last night in our place. The next day a 4th guy, Reynaldo was added to their crew to finish the pack and then do the move. When ready for moving they sent over a 2nd truck with yet another 3 guys (wow!) and everyone was friendly and carefully asking where we wanted things. Use them!

   These guys kicked a**!! Gadi set is up for success! He cane met with me and my client and prepared an unbeatable quote. I am a professional organizer and do this every week. Just grateful. Honestly every guy worked hard and kept working each hour of each day. William and Randy were fantastic foremen. I can’t rave enough about William’s attention to detail and Randy’s organization. Grade A work. Please let the office know they have me 13 great guys. Brynt was impressive. Justin and James, though young never stumbled Renaldo and Jorge also were great. And the girl with the impossible name fantastic packing in the kitchen. There was this soccer playing guy Ariascel(sp?) young, but so smart. I am stoked.

   We've used them twice in the last seven months, outstanding experiences both times! Prompt, courteous, thorough, fair, and everything arrived in good condition! And very fair rates, carefully explained. I NEVER post reviews online, but I have no qualms about recommending Northstar Moving Company!

   Avoid NorthStar Moving – They Stole From Me!

   I wish I could give NorthStar Moving zero stars. My recent move with them turned into an absolute nightmare. Not only were they careless and disorganized, but they stole one of my boxes containing high-end items worth thousands of dollars. The box included luxury clothing, electronics, and irreplaceable personal items—things I had collected over years. From the start, their lack of professionalism was clear. They didn’t bother counting my boxes, which should have been a basic step for any moving company. As someone moving into a high-rise, I trusted them to handle the process and assumed they'd be accountable for my belongings. Unfortunately, that trust was completely misplaced. In hindsight, I should have checked the truck thoroughly before they left, but it’s clear now that NorthStar Moving took advantage of the situation. A moving company should ensure the safe transport of your belongings—not become the reason they go missing. What’s worse is that when I contacted them to address the issue, they offered no help or resolution. They brushed me off as if my missing items were no big deal. It’s infuriating to experience such blatant disregard for my concerns and for my property. This company’s actions are not just unprofessional—they're criminal. Their lack of accountability and care shows they’re not interested in customer satisfaction, only in taking your money and, in my case, your possessions too. If you're considering using NorthStar Moving, think again. They’re unreliable at best and thieves at worst. Don’t let what happened to me happen to you. Stay far away from this company if you value your possessions and your peace of mind.

   TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, SUPER EXPENSIVE AND GOT ACCUSED OF SOMETHING SO DISGUSTING BY WENDY WHEN I CALLED BECAUSE WE HAD HALF OF OUR ITEMS LEFT BEHIND BECAUSE THE TRUCK WAS TOO SMALL AND THEY DIDN'T WANT TO FINISH THE JOB EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ALMOST $3500 WHICH IS COMPLETELY OVER THE TOP FOR WHAT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN 6 HOURS IF THAT. THEY ARRIVED AT 8:45AM LEFT AT 11:30PM AND CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY FOR 4 HOURS. THEY BROKE ITEMS INCLUDING MY 40 PLUS INCH TV WAS CRACKED, BROKE LAMPS, DISASSEMBLED MY DAUGHTERS BRAND NEW DESK FROM IKEA AND WE ARE MISSING PARTS AND THE TOOLS SO THE DESK IS BASICALLY TRASH. CAN'T FIND THE CORD TO MY PELETON BIKE AND AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS ON MISSING ITEMS NO ONE CALLED EXCEPT FOR WENDY AND SHE WAS DISGUSTINGLY RUDE AND DEGRADED ME AS I HAVE NEVER BEEN BY ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT USE THEM AS YOU WILL OVERPAY, LOSE ITEMS AND THEY DON'T EVEN PUT BOXES IN THE CORRECT ROOM. MY BRAND NEW WICKER COUCH AND CUSHIONS ARE FILTHY BECAUSE THEY STACKED BOXES AND BAGS ON TOP OF THEM WHICH SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED. I HAVE PICTURES TO DOCUMENT WHAT MY CONDO LOOKED LIKE AFTER THE MOVE. IF YOU SEE THEM YOU WILL NEVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE. I GOT ROBBED AND WENDY REALLY SEALED THE DEAL WITH HER HORRIFIC ACCUSATION. I AM STILL IN AWE AND CANNOT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED AFTER ABOUT 8 MOVES THROUGHOUT MY LIFE. DISGUSTING. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE TO REEL YOU IN BUT ONCE YOU SIGN YOU ARE DONE! BE CAREFUL EVERYONE OUT THERE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR REVIEWS. I FEEL BAD FOR ALL OF US.

   Beware of these guys

   Very poor and disappointing experience - please be sure to do your due dilligence and look past the "glowing" reviews because I don't want others to be left high and dry like I was. I worked with three gentlemen - Alex Michaels, Edgar Contreras, and Harmindeep. During the quoting process, they were easy to work with and seemed to be very accomodating - I greatly appreciated their efforts at the beginning of the process. Once I confirmed the move and we began the process of moving my stuff from SF to DC, things took a sharp turn. I must warn you to be very aware of this Delivery shuttle they charge for that they tell you "will be refunded" if not used. Essentially, as part of the payment they charge you $775 ahead of time in case their 18 wheeler is unable to fit at the destination - if it does fit, they refund you. After upwards of 10 calls with Alex, he confirmed to me that they will first try to move using the 18 wheeler and only if they are unable, will I be charged the $775 - this sounded good to me and understandable. Just to ensure that their 18 wheeler had plenty of room to unload and that they wouldn't need the shuttle, I had them deliver to Maryland instead of DC because I knew there would not be room in DC and I couldn't afford the risk of paying $775. Alex agreed this was a good idea so I purchased my own Uhaul (much cheaper than the $775 they charge, what a joke) to meet them in Maryland and transport my stuff on my own to ensure they do not need the shuttle and I will not be charged the $775. Low and behold, my furniture arrives today and they already went ahead and got the shuttle, charging me $775 without ever trying the 18 wheeler and never bringing this to my attention even after I stressed how important this was to Alex. Harmindeep called me and I was admittingly very frustrated by this unexpected charge - he told me "it was not their fault" and waived by 3% credit card fee instead (how nice of your Harmindeep!!!) All and all just a very poor experience - they seem great on the front end but things will change once they are in possession of your belongings. Really a terrible way to begin my move back to the east coast to take care of my sick family member - $775 that I could have really used right now. Hoping no one else has to go through this.

    Stole My Rolex.

    During our move on Dec. 30th, 2019, I had major back and disc problems preventing me from moving around easily. During our move, I left my Rolex in my bathroom by my sink. When my wife went back to get it from our old house it was gone. Only the movers had access to our home, no one else. There was nothing in the bathroom for them to move either. All 7 movers denied taking the watch, but there is no other explanation. I didn't pack the watch or misplace it. The last time I saw it was 11 am on the day of the move. I've filed a police report and notified Rolex as well and even did my own investigating calling up local Pawn shops. So disappointing that one of these seven movers would take the watch after I gave them each a $100 tip. On top if it, this company who I thought was reputable, has done little to assist me, very sad. All I'd like is for my watch to be returned or compensate me to replace it.
