   Great Experience

   I tried to find a moving company for my boss in London while I don't live there. After three of four company, I found Removals.co.uk and I'm impressed with how they're easy to talk to.    Use a proper removal service

   Won't deliver until I pay another 50% on top of what they quoted. They are just a 3rd party so find a proper company who you can trust. They had all the details from the start but waited until you had signed & shipped to tell you what you now owe on top.

   Stay AWAY!

   I used this company for an international move (USA to UK, full container load), and from start to finish it was the worst experience I have had with any company. Extra charges at collection. I was charged roughly £1,000 in additional fees at pickup. One reason given was that a van could not park at the collection address — yet the same size van parked outside without any difficulty when my goods were delivered. Another was that the storage facility had not granted access — yet I hold written and verbal confirmation from the storage manager that access was authorised and they were told to go ahead. I dispute both charges. They documented our goods as being in good condition. At collection the company sent me an email with photographs showing our belongings in good condition. The boxes were intact and the goods were in good order when they were collected. The state they arrived in. On delivery, virtually every item was damaged — boxes crushed, furniture broken, and belongings water-damaged and mouldy. The delivery crew themselves told me it was the worst damage they had ever seen. In my view the goods had been thrown into the container rather than packed and stowed with any care. They changed their account once I claimed. I submitted a fully itemised claim with photographs covering 44 damaged items, totalling around £6,450. Only after I submitted the claim did the company change its account and assert that the goods had already been damaged and mouldy at collection — directly contradicting the email and photographs it had sent me showing them in good condition. The claim was refused, the blame placed entirely on the storage facility, and the company then relied on a "limited liability" clause capping liability at £40 per item — ultimately offering £40 in total for the entire loss. My advice: get every quote, charge and access arrangement in writing before the day; photograph the condition of everything at both collection and delivery; keep every email they send you; and read the liability terms very carefully — without paying extra you may be capped at £40 per item, which can mean almost nothing when things go wrong. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

   Won't deliver(after collecting) until extra £300 is paid

   Paid for removal - UK to Spain. Quote states 2 person collection and delivery, door to room of choice, 4-14 days. A single person showed up in a van requiring me to load the boxes. It's now 6 weeks later and they are refusing to deliver my move until I pay almost £300 extra for local delivery.

    When moving from Qatar to the UK, I wanted a part of a storage container (as I didn't have enough belongings for an entire one). I received several quotes, narrowed it down to three which were similar in price and went with removals.co.uk due to their quick replies. I really wish that I hadn't because as soon as they had my money, that was when the decent customer service stopped. I had to constantly chase them for information and they would ignore emails. They estimated shipping would take 8-12 weeks. It took 18 weeks! And that was after a lot of chasing them up both via email and phone! They were happy to blame the wait time on anyone and anything else but accepted zero responsibility. Perhaps if they were more willing to communicate then I would have felt appeased by the long wait time but it was so frustrating trying to get any information out of them. I would never use removals.co.uk again nor would I recommend them. On a side note, the goods needed to be delivered to the 3rd floor (which they knew as I had paid extra for delivery to 3rd floor) and they sent one man to do this job. I was shocked as they knew how many heavy boxes he had to carry up so many floors. I urge you- please do NOT use removals.co.uk.
