   Won’t refund money

   I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring Spartan Van Lines located in Clearwater, FL, for my moving needs, and I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my review in order to caution others who may be considering their services. One of the most concerning aspects of my experience with Spartan Van Lines was their policy of requiring payment upfront before unloading the truck. This seemed unreasonable and even unprofessional. It left me feeling vulnerable, as it effectively held my items hostage until I paid in full, without any assurance of the quality of service I was about to receive. Furthermore, Spartan Van Lines provided an estimate for the duration of the move. However, when the actual time turned out to be shorter than what was estimated, they refused to reimburse any portion of the payment. This lack of flexibility and fairness left me feeling cheated and dissatisfied with their business practices. Additionally, I was taken aback by the exorbitant fees they charged for credit card payments. It seemed like an unnecessary and unfair burden to impose such a high percentage for utilizing a commonly used payment method. This added cost seems like an attempt to take advantage of customers and left me questioning their integrity. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Spartan Van Lines to anyone in need of moving services. Their requirement of upfront payment, failure to reimburse for time discrepancies, and high credit card fees all contribute to a lack of professionalism and customer care. Moving is already a stressful and costly process, and choosing a moving company that values transparency, fairness, and customer satisfaction is of utmost importance. I strongly advise exploring alternative moving companies in the Clearwater, FL area that prioritize customer service and uphold reasonable business practices.

   Terrible service, would recommend looking elsewhere

   Their whole service seemed to be too good to be true and it was. I was estimated 7 hours and had to pay that amount even though all it took the movers was 5 hours. I was never refunded by the movers. If you do end up contracting this company, make sure to record the time of the service very well and pay with credit card.

   They stole my 40in TV! My boyfriend ask of they wer done and he was gonna check truck but they stopped him! I got charged 400 more than quoted for. Entertainment stand and my liquor bottle broken. But to steal a 40 in tv!

   My response from a BBB complaint I made. You are telling lies about you all moving my whole house. I had my family members telling me to take pictures of the house after they only moved the large item. it was in shambles, So your workers are telling you a lie. And if my husband was completely satisfied with you all why he didn't tip your workers, He said they were really good men but their work ethics were horrible, I am still moving out the place so how did they move my entire house. As far as the move taking that long your sorry workers was standing around. trying to figure out how to get my sofa in the door for 45 minutes.. which I had to call another company to get it into the living room, Also they left the sofa that belongs in the living room in the back bedroom. You all are so horrible I wouldn't tell anyone to use you all. Have some INTEGRITY.. if I Owed $416.00 you would have to take me to the highest of the high courts to get it. Your company didn't deserve $282.00 that's why that's all you got. I will never use such a made up company like you people EVER again, My husband was only trying to be nice to your guys when he let them come into our home to rest and get dry and also gave them towels to dry off and gave them something to drink. As for as the stress free move more lies the entire time I was at work I received several calls from my husband telling me how slow your movers were moving he really felt some kind of way because they were so slow. Trying to run the bill up. And as far as my budget I didn't have a budget, Did you see the area I live in I couldn't live there on any restricted budget sir's. Bottom Line this was one of the worse experience I have ever had with a moving company. Good Luck in the furfure and people please read reviews before using these kind of companies. And Thank you!

   Terrible experience.

   Scheduled the move more than 2 weeks in advance. Contacted them the Tuesday before the move and they confirmed the move. On the Saturday of the move, no one showed up. Took me an hour to get someone on the telephone and I was told that the move was never scheduled. They tried to reschedule the move and I terminated the conversation.

   Horrible Company, Avoid.

   Terrible company. They quoted me one price and then charged me 300-400 more than I was quoted. They only accepted cash after they arrived because they kept saying their credit card machine went down that day. One worker made the other do all of the work. We had packed all of our boxes so we were ready for them when they arrived. They tried to unload everything into garage because they were lazy. Gave them cash but they did not give me back change or a receipt. Avoid this place.

   We strive for perfection in every move. Each and every customer does receive a designated team and truck to use for as long or as short as they need. We have a 1 hour minimum. You only pay for the time that you use. With that said, I do have the paperwork from the day of your move that you rated the move excellent. You were pleased with your move on move day and even gave a generous tip on the day of the move. We regret that you are upset that you did not receive a receipt. You could have asked the foreman to have your receipt sent via e-mail to you since they would have had to bring the paperwork back to the terminal to process the cash receipt. We moved everything into the garage because your move had more loose items that required a few extra minutes than you had budgeted for. In the end, we tried to do absolutely everything we could to perform your move and keep you happy but logistically speaking you had more items and whether us or any other mover, you would have had the same issue. We appreciate your review and it's unfortunate that your move took a few minutes longer.
