    Buyer Beware.

Let me start by saying DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. I was overwhelmed with trying to determine the most cost effective way to move and then store about $2500 worth of furniture and personal items a distance of approximately 500 miles. I wasn't moving an entire house full of items, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money.  Moving myself was not an option.  When I contacted this company, my salesman Tom was very nice and reassuring.  What I didn't understand, and what they failed to explain to me is that USA Moving Group is a BROKER; they do not actually move your items or store them.  They scheduled my move with an even slimier, less ethical company by the name of Moving Express & Storage out of Passaic, NJ.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EITHER! The problem is, however, you don't know who will be conducting the move until they show up on your doorstep. The movers showed up on the day of the move and wanted an additional $75, claiming that my quote for a move from a second story unit only covered 7 steps. Since my unit was on the second level of my building, and it required more than 7 stairs to reach the second level, that was going to be extra.  This was of course after Tom quoted me a price based on my unit being on the SECOND FLOOR of the building.  (Tom didn't mention that he was quoting me the "hobbit price", and that in hobbits' houses, it only takes 7 steps to reach the second level). Also, I failed to include one item in my pre inventory (a framed picture), and the movers wanted to charge an additional $20 to move that despite the fact that I was way under the minimum weight.  Of course, I knew that I would also get dinged for the non-Hobbit extra stair charge of $75 on the delivery end. Only after threatening to cancel the move (which would have meant I would have lost my $290 deposit), did the movers relent.  When I called to complain to USA Moving Group, of course Tom wouldn't take my calls, and their "customer service" team would not return my calls.  After calling them maybe 10 times, I finally got through to someone by calling from a different phone number they didn't recognize.  This person assured me that I would not be charged the $75 on the back end.  Problem is, the movers won't deliver your items off the truck until you pay them, so guess what? - since I'm as tall as Gandalf, I had to pay the extra $75.  Also, forget about scheduling your delivery on a specific day - they have the right to take up to 21 extra days past your "earliest possible delivery date" to deliver your goods.   Several items were delivered broken, and several items were missing, to the tune of about $250 in lost or damaged items. But I have no recourse because I am only insured up to .60 per pound. To get full replacement cost insurance would have cost another $250 on a move that was already costing $1000. The movers gave me a 24 page pamphlet entitled "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move" when they showed up, but it was moving day, and I hadn't set aside any time for reading.  Read this book before you schedule your move!  That way you will understand in advance all the ways these slime bags can screw you.  .

    They Are Horrible.

They only allow good testimonials on their page and direct you to a phony site for other "good reviews". I was having trouble finding a good company and ended up with the absolute worst!! They lie about how much they charge. The estimates are lies!! I was overcharged by $850 and they keep giving me the run around!! I keep getting passed around to different people. they are just a contract agency who has the worst communication. They never called when supposed to.

Complete dishonesty - DO NOT USE.

Lies and deception from the beginning. Tom Kiernan promised me everything I wanted to get me to sign with them. After I signed the contract, he disappeared. Refused to reply to emails or voice mails. Nothing went the way I was told it would. First he said USA Moving Group wasn't a broker. Wrong! The company they contracted out to charged me for something not on my original estimate. I argued that it wasn't needed but ended up having no option. Both USA Moving Group and Unique Moving promised me next day delivery. I have Multiple Sclerosis and Degenerative Disc Disease in my lower back so having my bed and furniture right away was beyond important. As of this review, I've been sleeping on the floor for 5 nights and who knows how many more I will have to. After threatening to report my items as stolen because I can't get a delivery date, I was given a # for a dispatcher and of course had to leave a message. I told them the same. I need a date and time or I'm reporting my items stolen. This group will tell you anything you want to hear to get you sign with them. Run fast.

My move to Florida was a scam.

I had a one bed room apartment and I was told my move will be $1008 and when the movers showed up it was done by a company they contracted out and then I was stuck with their price. My move was changed to $4000. They said I would only pay extra if it goes over a certain weight. I requested to me with the drivers at the weight station before and after the load and that didn't happen. They weren't on time, they even asked for a tip. I been calling for weeks trying to resolve this payment issue but they keep giving me the run around. They claim they are waiting on papers to be faxed to them and last time I checked it doesn't take a month to do so. People save your money this company is a scam and they lie about their service. The movers showed up and I asked were the truck was and the driver said it broke down. They rent trucks then move your stuff. This company is the worst. I'm currently seeking a lawyer to sue them. I wouldn't let my enemy use this company !! People stay away from this company!!

    Worst Company Ever!

I made arrangements with a Derrick C on Friday, March 13th, to have my items moved from MI to NM.  I was told that the truck driver would call me Sunday, March 15th, to left me know the time they would be arriving to pickup my items.  I never received a call Sunday, so I called Derrick who informed me that he would have dispatch call me with the time of pickup.  When dispatch called, they told me that a truck driver would arrive Saturday, March 21.  I told them that I would be in NM by that time and arrangements were made for my items to be picked up by Monday.  I was told that the best they could do for me is have a drive pickup my items Tuesday, March 17.  I was told that I would receive a call later that day with the pickup time for Tuesday.  Close to the end of the business day, I had called both dispatch and Derrick because I had not received a call from the truck driver letting me know of the time of pickup to Tuesday and was told that I would be contacted first thing Tuesday morning with the time.  Tuesday morning, both dispatch and Derrick failed to call me so I called them.  I was told by dispatch that a drive would call me within 3 hours to give me a pickup time.  I was also told by Derrick that he would follow up with me and let me know when the driver would be arriving.  Five hours later, after no response from dispatch, Derrick or the truck driver, I called Derrick and dispatch repeatedly for the next one hour, every 15 minutes.  I also email Derrick.  After an hour and a half of no response from anyone, I called the Corporate office and spoke with a Customer Service Supervisor (Sam #1016) who reported that the soonest he could get a truck out would be Wednesday, March 18th.  I told Sam that I would no longer be in MI on Wednesday and that I need my items picked up Tuesday.  After Sam repeatedly told me that he could not get a truck out to me on Tuesday, I reported that I wanted my refund back.  I was then told that I could not get my refund because I am canceling my service.   I told Sam that I did not cancel my service.  I expected them to pickup my items Monday, which they failed to do.  Then I was told that my items would be picked up Tuesday, which they failed to do again.  I told them that I made prior arrangements to view and secure apartments and that I had planned on driving to NM myself, which was more than a 25 hour drive that I planned on doing in two days.  But Sam insisted that he would not give me my refund and that I should file a complaint. Now I have a load of items that I don’t know what to do with and have to start driving to NM to try and secure an apartment before work begins on Monday, March 23rd.  I really wish I had checked the reviews prior to giving them my deposit.  This company should be shut down for all of their fraudulent activities.

    Do Not Use!!

I had USA Moving Group quote a price for me to move from Ohio to Colorado. I provided an inventory and what I was looking for. I was searching for a company that would pack, transport and deliver my items.    They quoted me a price that was the best that I had received. I paid the deposit and were scheduled a two day window of either 2/17 or 2/18.    I double and triple checked with them that this price included the movers boxing, disassembling, loading/unloading & transporting my stuff from Ohio to Colorado. They assured me that was the included and that I wouldn't have to do anything.    They called me at 6:52 pm on 2/17 stating they would be there on 2/18 between Noon-4 pm. At 11:38 AM on 2/18, they stated that they were running late and would be there between 3-7 PM that day.    At 5 pm I called them and they stated that they would be there closer to 7pm. I asked them if it was going to take long to pack my stuff up (since I had been told that was all included). They stated that it wasn't listed on their report and that I needed to pack everything and that they were just coming to load and unload in Colorado. I explained that I was estimated the cost to include all that. They transferred me to the estimator who did not take my call, an Allan. I left a voice mail that was never returned. I ran and got boxes and tape and began to pack my things. I did not have enough boxes and was forced to have them do it for an additional cost that the company would not quote me.    At 7:30 pm that evening they stated that they are still running late and would be there between 9-10 pm. At 9 pm they called and said they'd be there right at 10 pm. At approximately 10:37 pm the movers showed up. When they came into my apartment and went through the inventory. The inventory they were provided was not including almost half of the items I had told the estimator. Needing to get moved to Denver ASAP start my job, I had them estimate the additional stuff which came to approximately $330 additional.    I put my arrival date as 2/20 in Denver at my apartment and left Youngstown to make it there on time. That was the last time I've heard from them.    On 2/23-3/1 , I attempted to call and leave voice mails to find out where my items were. I have not received any type of email, phone call, mailing or any type of update regarding the location of my items. I do not have any clothes except for what I brought with me. My important paperwork were in a filing cabinet that is someone in North America I hope. My furniture, and everything I own for the most part are somewhere and no one is responding. Still have not received my items. .

Never a Straight Answer on the Phone.

We started to talk with this company after they gave us a call from a form we filled out on the internet (by the way, not a great way to find a moving company!).  After several days of research we knew right questions to ask of a moving company.  When USA Moving Group called us, we specifically asked if they were moving "brokers"--folks who subcontract the move out to other companies.  The rep danced around the question, kept telling us yes they had carriers, yes we could check protectyourmove.gov, etc. etc. Never got a straight answer from this guy.  So evasive.  I think we dodged a bullet, especially after reading these reviews.  We will be going with an established moving carrier and no broker.
