   Best moving decision ever!

   VKH Movers are AWESOME!! When moving, I HIGHLY recommend hiring movers. VKH reduced SOOOO much stress. I will hire them again and recommend them to all my friends. With their help, I (female) and my two (female) friends were able to move out of my 1BR apartment to my new place in UNDER FOUR HOURS!! First, VKH was VERY responsive and flexible with my schedule. I'm a busy professional and a life-long procrastinator. I was scheduled to move out of my apartment on 10/19, and I posted my move project on Thumbtack on 10/16. VKH quickly responded to my request. They first gave me a time window for 2-3PM, but after I asked for an earlier slot, they were able to do the job at noon. They even arrived early!! Next, the two-person move team was so professional and efficient. They took great care to wrap my furniture to prevent damage and handled all my belongings with care. Next, the move team was very adaptable. When we arrived at my new place, we encountered a snag with reserving the freight elevator. They quickly adapted the load out plan and were able to empty the truck in less than 75 minutes. Finally, VKH was a very good financial decision. Before finding VKH, other moving companies quoted me over $1,000. For VKH, I paid about $500 for a truck and 4 hours of work. And I heavily tipped my two movers. Worth.Every.Penny. They saved my back, my friendships, and my sanity. I've never been so happy to support a small business. VKH FTW!

   The owner has a sense of entitlement that truly shows in how he responds to possible customers. A total lack of class and respect. After declining his services due to budget restraints, Vlad proceeded to get condescending with me. It was absolutely unnecessary and unprovoked. Do not recommend.

   If I could give these unprofessional, non-responsive, inconsiderate people A ZERO I would. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They were in constant contact until I paid my deposit. It was downhill from there. They provided a window via email of 2-4. When 3:30 rolled around I started emailing, sending text messages, and calling— no response! It wasn’t until I said I would come to them to find out why they were not calling or shown up, that finally I received a call. They said they were running 1 1/2 hours behind. When they finally arrived, there were 2 guys ( clearly not seasoned movers) and here is where it got worse: 1. They forgot their dolly (we had one they could use. 2. They said - oh we forgot our tools, do you have any to disassemble the bed and mirror from the dresser (my husband got his tools). 3. MY HUSBAND HAD TO DISASSEMBLE THE MIRROR. 4. They did a walk through prior to any moving and said this will only take roughly and hour (I had 1 dresser, 1 bed, two armoire nightstands, 4 boxes, 1 crate, 1 Under Armour duffle, and a Peloton bike)—not even enough to constitute a one bedroom Apt. 5. It took them 45 minutes trying to bring down the dresser, which they removed the blanket from around and damaged it! 6. When it was time to move the Peloton, one of guys said he didn’t think he could do it because he had a bad back (what???). We told him to leave it because at this point I am so angry. He refused to leave it alone. So….My husband had to jump in and assist with moving the bike AND he moved the box spring for them. Meanwhile, I am sending text messages to Sean who was UNRESPONSIVE!!! 7. To continue the absurdity-the guy says, well we went an hour over should I use the same card. I politely said, I am not paying another dime extra. As a matter of fact-I need a full refund, call your manager. Of course the cowardly thing to do was not answer the phone-way to go Sean!! Attached are the pictures of the damage. AGAIN DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I will be pursuing all means to get my money refunded.

   VKH Movers LLC has damaged furniture, overcharged me for time that they literally just stood around not knowing how to move an item because of its size, did not fully move my items into the desired location (left in a garage and not in the house), and overpromised the quality of work and the skillset of their employees. I even had to hire a second moving company to finish the job that they were too inept to complete, DESPITE me specifically asking about a particularly oversized item and showing pictures of the item so they had a sense of the size. I was assured multiple times by VKH that they were "professionals" and "small companies can't handle the load" they can. I ended up paying over $500 extra (between their bogus overcharge for standing around doing nothing, and me hiring a new company who completed the job within an hour). I even tried to appeal to my credit card company but VKH showed them that I signed that my items were moved and authorized the charge - which is something I HAD to sign in order for them to leave and stop charging me for extra time with me. My move was on August 27th and I have tried numerous times to try to get my issues resolved, as initially, they were issues that could easily be resolved with any moving company. Any other competent moving company would give a deduction for damaged items or not fulfilling the agreement of the items needed to be moved. But not VKH Movers. Once they have your credit card information, they will ignore any requests that you make to right any wrongs and damages. I've gone above and beyond to try to quietly rectify things on my end. I've called all numbers listed on their website and left messages - IGNORED. I've emailed all email addresses that I have access to - IGNORED. I've messaged them through Thumbtack and each time, Sean the sales rep just re-routes to someone who doesn't respond at all. I am finally left with accepting my loss and warning all of you NOT to use them. Save your money by going with a company with integrity, competence and skill.

   Car accident.

   July 2020-I was at a stop light and got hit by their moving truck. Both the driver and passenger who work for VKH lied and said I hit them so their insurance company didn’t have to pay for the damage. Now I have pay out of own pocket despite it not being my fault. Extremely unprofessional. I would give zero stars if possible.
