My experience leading up to pickup with this company was as I would normally expect, however when it came time to deliver things went bad, fast. I began calling around a week prior to delivery, just trying to get confirmation that the items would arrive the day I had put down. When I had called to originally schedule delivery Matt in sales had picked up immediately every time, but for the week leading up to delivery I received no answer and had to leave several messages.
I had been speaking with Matt via text leading up to pickup, so I tried texting there and did eventually get ahold of him, however he could not give me a solid date to expect my things, and kept saying things like "Let me get with dispatch and have somebody reach out to you today" but I wouldn't hear back and have to try again through him the next day, over and over. On a whim, I even had my stepdad call the same number I had been leaving messages with, and Matt picked up RIGHT away, meaning they were intentionally ignoring my number when I called. My move date was 7/29 and it wasn't until 08/03 that I heard from anybody other than Matt.
Julian, one of the movers, called me and informed me they'd have my things out on 08/08. I told him I needed them ASAP, as I wasn't available on the weekdays because I worked and I'd already burned several days of PTO waiting for them. He then said he would see about getting them to me the night of 08/05, and asked if I would be up late so he could check with his supervisor and get back to me. I told him I would but I didn't hear back that night. Tried calling and texting him back the next morning and nothing. Then the morning of 08/06 I get a call from another person (I don't remember the name) saying they would have my things there that night at around 10pm.
I then get a call around 7pm saying it will be the next day in afternoon because they were having some payment issues with their current client. That day, Sunday, I finally got a call in the afternoon saying they would be at my home at around 7:30pm. They rolled up around 8, and they still left much to be desired after all that waiting.
First, they asked if I wanted to unwrap the furniture myself or have them do it. I told them my trash cans were full so I'd like them to do it. Secondly, they tried to charge me for reassembly of my bed, even though they'd disassembled it. I had to point out to them that the rental estimate said disassembly AND reassembly was included. They also charged me an additional $100 for a "long carry" fee because the space from my front door to the curb was, in their estimation, greater than 75 feet. They'd previously asked about using my garage for entry without mentioning that fee would apply if they used the front door. They also lost one of my living room lamps, but apparently they only reimburse 0.60/pound of lost merchandise so filing a claim wasn't even worth it.
Once they were done I quickly put sheets on my bed and slept. The next morning I discovered all of the cardboard and tape from unwrapping the furniture had been left in my front lawn for me to clean up. Also, one of my child's pieces of furniture was missing a "foot," rendering it unstable and useless, but again, not worth a claim for a couple dollars.
TLDR- ZERO communication from their employees, late delivery, and hidden fees. I have never worked with a company more unprofessional in my life, and at this point I consider myself lucky to even have my things at all.
