   1st Class Moving: The Name Says it All.

   We had actually hired a different company, who on the morning of our move, did not show up. They apparently didn't have us on the books, although we scheduled it several weeks before and they took our deposit out of our account already. We scrambled to find a company last minute and it was imperative that we be out of our house by 4 pm per our contract. 1st Class Moving had 2 men available and got to our house very quickly. They worked fast and were very diligent. They packed the truck with excellent technique; we were impressed at how much could fit in it. EVerything went smoothly, and we were so very grateful for them. 1st Class Moving was our last minute choice this time, but will be our VERY FIRST choice next time and our very first referral company. Fantastic experience and great service! Thank you 1st Class Moving!

   Move from Memphis ,TN to Kalamazoo , MI.

   I am a physician moving from Memphis to Kalamazoo. My friend who was moving to ohio also decided to go with them. The pick up was exactly on time. Chris was very professional in his dealings. We had packed our boxes ourselves but the unassembled the Bed , sofas , I got the UHAUL Plasma TV moving system which I highly recommend for plasma TV s. Loading was done in 3 hrs. Delivery day was off by 1 day but chris was informing me all the way , so we were ok with that. The stuff was delivered , bed assembled , Plama TV was fully functional.. The only issue was my child s furniture had some damage but it was actually showed to me by them , pictures taken and a refund will be received. My friends stuff reached same day. He was very satisfied . I will fully recommend them.Very professional and courteous . Communication all the way till the delivery. Chris is very prompt in replying.

   Movers.

   Movers were NOT trained to maneuver furniture out of a room..Didn't wrap ANY furniture.Not very efficient.Asked them to just take what was on truck & I will have to hire another company..Never encountered this kind of Mover before.. Attached is a pic of how you're supposed to take care of clients furniture..Thanks to My 2nd Movers ??

   Horrible service.

   I booked a move with 1st Class movers on Wednesday for a Friday move. My move was scheduled for 2:00p. At 1:50p, I was informed that they would be 1-2 hours late. At 4:15p, my husband contacted the company to find out where the movers where and when they would arrive. The supervisor, Chris, immediately became irate. My husband did not use curse words or yell but was told he was disrespectful. I will never use nor recommend this company!

   Illegally Operating and Bait & Switch.

   1st Class Moving (Chris Fannin) is illegally operating and using bait & switch tactics.  After a terrible experience that ended in a bill that was triple the amount quoted, I attempted to locate the owner which quickly resulted in discovering that the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has revoked their DOT# and ordered them to be out of service.  Their insurance has also been cancelled according to the FMCSA.  I contacted the US Dept. of Transportation who let me know that 1st Class Moving & Storage should 'absolutely not' be operating as a moving service for any type of moves (interstate, intrastate, in-town, etc.).  I had originally requested to move a 2-3 bedroom house, and a 5x5ft storage unit 10-25 miles with approximately 50 boxes, a small wine fridge, and a few pieces of furniture.  All of my beds, other appliances, and many boxes had already been moved.  I was quoted $305 for two movers to take approximately three hours.  This was in line with three other quotes I received.  I went with this company since I had a very specific time frame to meet.  Instead of two movers, Chris sent four and told them they would be moving a 1 bedroom apartment instead of a 2-3 bedroom house.  The movers that showed up were extremely out of shape and already tired from other moves that day.  Several times I asked the movers to speed things up which didn't help.  I had to constantly monitor and reiterate what had to be moved instead of focusing on an important discussion with my realtor.  While they were deliberately taking more time than they should have, they also did not appear to be physically capable of moving much faster.  Since I had to be moved out by that night, I had no choice but to pitch in and help with things like emptying the garage attic of empty boxes.  It ended up taking 5.5 hours to complete the move and I was sent via text message a bill for $945.  I let the person who sent the bill (Chris Fannin) know that the move should have absolutely not taken 5.5 hours which kicked off an argument resulting in him threatening legal action.  An ironic result since he is operating illegally to begin with.  I have documentation to prove all claims and am currently waiting for my credit card company to work through the dispute I filed.  I am also waiting for a call back from the Tennessee office of the FMCSA to discuss my claims.  Bottom line, avoid at all costs!

   Worst moving experience ever!

   My name is Bryan. I live in Atlanta and am moving to Covington with my Fiance who currently lives there. My story starts with a phone conversation and ends with one of the most horrendous days of my life. The owner of First Class Moving is one of the most abrasive and pitiful people that I've ever had the privilege of knowing. He's has absolutely no scruples, will lie to you at every point of the move and then curse you out if you demand satisfactory performance. Wednesday, March 28. I called his office and was searching for decent moving deals and we spoke for thirty minutes. He promised his guys were professional, had insurance, licenses, and would get everything moved without a hitch. We were moving from Bartlett to Covington to a storage unit. We agreed to move on Thursday, March 29. I was driving from Atlanta to Memphis on Thursday afternoon and he said that they would finished by the time I arrived. The move was supposed to start at 3:30 PM Thursday, March 29.   Chris, the owner, called my fiance at 2 and started asking if we could pay in cash. Multiple times he called her and started negotiating this point and since I was paying for the move she directed him to me. He called me and since I was driving from Atlanta to Memphis, I had planned on using my credit card to pay for the move. Later on I find out why he needed cash so desperately.   I called him at 3 and verify a correct eta and my fiance arrives at her house, ready to move her stuff. He doesn't respond to me and then calls me back at 3:15, saying that his guys would be a little later, about 3:45. Now his favorite statement is that they will be there in twenty minutes. He says this about forty times throughout the next three days.  He keeps saying that his guys will be there soon, yet at 4:30, they still haven't arrived. Why? I found out from his guys that they were moving someone elses stuff that during that time frame. I'm aggravated at this point but my fiance and I decide to give them another chance and do the move early in the morning.  We stayed in Covington at a hotel and left early in the morning about 7 am to get to Bartlett at 8:30, which was the negotiated time from the prior  afternoon.Chris, once again, is extremely selective about answering his phone or texts, and leaves me with they will be there in 20 minutes, this is at 8:40. Ten minutes late again.9:00- The movers arrive in a truck that looks like its on its last two legs, which we find out later it is. The two movers are former felons, nice guys, professional movers who I would use again with my own [EDIT] truck.They prepared our furniture and made sure all dings were marked and recognized. I can't see this enough, they were excellent movers.    The lead mover said that they were told to be at our house at nine by Chris.10:08- We leave, fully packed in the moving truck. We have a 35 minute drive to Covington. 10:38- We noticed the movers are driving about 25 miles per hour on the interstate and they pull over. They start up again and black smoke billows out of their exhaust. They finally pull off the interstate and start going again and this time they pull over on the 2 lane highway off the interstate near atoka? 10:45- Chris responds saying that he's sending one of his trucks up and they will be there in 20 minutes.11:05- I called Chris again and he doesn't respond for fifteen minutes. Says that they driver is on his way. 11:10- I speak to the drivers. They don't have a phone to call their boss. They can only text them on their "Cricket" phones. I started a conversation with the guys. They are both cash movers. They receive 12-15$ an hour and have absolutely no money on them to get a taxi back to Memphis. 11:35-All of this time on the highway we can being passed by semi-trucks, car, trucks, and industrial equipment with my fiance, myself, and this moving truck behind us. INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS! 11:40- We called Chris again fifteen times and he never answers us. He ignored all texts12:30- I call other moving companies and they are all busy. We call her family to get a uhaul and come unload it for us. Chris demands that when the trucks get there that we pay his men  for their work.. We get into a huge argument.13:00- We call the police department and they arrive and threaten to tow the truck and help us get on our way.13:15. I find out when their truck does arrive that neither one of the movers has a valid license, in fact, they are both suspended. The new truck driver told me that they couldn't find the keys to the truck and then were finishing another move before coming out to us.The movers then take off with our stuff and he didn't find them for another hour and we couldn't call them, and Chris was ignoring our phone calls. The guys actually did help us move and I paid them cash. This was the absolute worst experience that I've ever had and I spent six years in the military. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!

   Overall good move.

   They came out and provided a fairly accurate estimate. In departing the move, there truck tires left ruts (which was wet)in the yard which 1st Class Moving paid to repair. I also purchased storage space which offer good pricing. Other than that, the experience was good.

   Do Not Use!!

   I had to move across the street to another apartment because my apartment was flooded out. I contacted this copany and they advised me that I could get three men for two hours for $200. I have my own trailer, so I packed everything in boxes and loaded the trailer so the first trip would be ready for the men once they got there. Once the men got to my apartment, they told me that there would be extra cost for stair. This was nowhere in the contract. I felt like I was getting strongarmed at this point. The men started to work and took a number of cigarette breaks and wasted alot of my time and money. Once my two hours was up, they advised me that they would stay longer and finish the job for another $40 a person. I had no choice but to run to the ATM and pay these men to finish the move. Also, while moving; one of the guys attempted to move a nightstand and a microwave down a flight of stairs on a handtruck (pushing it rather than pulling). Resulting in the items dropping down the flight of stairs. They claimed that they would reimburse me .60 cents a lb. This ended up being $45.00. So they were suppose to give me $45.00 to replace a microwave and a new nightstand. I try to support small business owners and this time I really paid for it. I would have been better off seeking assistance from some local day workers or a couple of men off the streets.

    Unprofessional and not reliable.

    Please avoid using this moving company as they could ruin your plans. Missed appointment schedule twice and didn't do a good job with my move. There were some damages to some of the stuff while moving. I wonder if they have any experience with moving. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Please be careful and use this company at your own RISK.
