   Not bad, could be better

   I was given a great price from my move from Victoria, BC to South England, and the 2 moving guys were great and got everything sorted super fast. All my items arrived with zero damage and nothing was broken or lost which I'm very happy about. Unfortunately the lack of stars are for communication. I had lots of fast replies towards the beginning, but once my items were collected, I was kept in the dark for a lot, and was specifically told, that having the ToR was not needed for the items to be loaded on the ship, as it needed to be provided before reaching the destination, and because mine had to be redone, my items missed the first ship and I was told it was my fault because of this. Then when I was constantly chasing to find any info whatsoever when my items had a rough delivery date. I would still recommend this company, as they did a good job, but when it comes to all your possessions, I don't think they understand people can worry a lot and like to be kept in the loop with where they are and what's happening! Also, there partners they used in the UK to deliver the goods are shockingly bad, I had to pick up my own items as they refused to give me a delivery date and all my stuff was just sat in storage.

   Don't be pressured by their tricks!

   I purchased international shipping from UK to Vancouver and the company I hired in the UK chose Bekins World Wide Moving (based on Surrey, BC) to deliver to my home location. However, when the items arrived, Bekins called me and claimed that they quoted the UK company for delivery up to 1 mile radius from their warehouse, and then tried to extort additional fees from me for collection ($900 to transport to Sechelt from Surrey) and threatened to charge storage fees ($60/day) if I didn't accept the fees or collect the items myself. I contacted the UK company I hired and they agreed with me and a dispute started between the two companies. Eventually, a compromise was reached where Bekins agreed to deliver to an address in Vancouver, so I had to rent a van and come and collect my items from Richmond. I don't think the moving company I hired will be using them again and I certainly won't.

   Unprofessional company.

   This was the only company that refused to let me know quote via email, as a non English speaker and full time working person this is a horrible thing to do. I write emails because I will be able to express myself best and not forget to ask key questions and I can always refer back to them versus - do I remember this quote correctly? And what did I forget to ask? Why bother having email if you refuse to provide the most basic service via email which you even advertise on your sites
