   Great Work

   Charter Van Lines made what could be a stressful day relatively easy. They loaded up our flat efficiently, being careful and considerate, and unloaded us on the other side in no time at all. We had no breakages or damage and they took time to find out what items were fragile and made a special effort to keep them safe.

   Pleasantly surprised!

   We've moved quite a few times throughout the years, but this was the quickest and most stress-free. We mostly just stood by and watched as stuff was swiftly packed away and reloaded at the other end of the home. As much as I'd like to avoid it, if a move becomes necessary, you'll be the first to know. I value it greatly.

   Charter Van Lines practice of strictly managing their inventory put us at rest. They made sure that nothing was misplaced or forgotten throughout the transfer by keeping careful records. In terms of polish, they truly excelled.

   Andrew from customer service calls his customers little bitches. This is the worse customer service I have ever received. Andrew also told he was going to steal my belongings he is a criminal and he acts really tough over the phone . ?

   Charter van lines move from Georgia to ILLINOIS

   CHARTER VAN LINES move from Georgia to Illinois I contacted Charter Van Lines last year November of 2024 got my quote and ended up moving on February 1 if 2025. Horrible experience, first off the company they hired to move us from St Louis Mo was Midwest Moving Company which I didn’t know at the time that they were brokering our move from another company. They didn’t tell us that someone else besides Charter Van Lines was moving us and I should have checked myself. Anyway the movers showed up with a large moving truck like the size of a large U-Haul truck probably 20-26 foot. 2 people came and looked at our move and said it wouldn’t fit all our stuff and the guys were really rude and hateful and was very unprofessional movers. Anyway they told us they would only fill truck half full with our move. We were upset and had to be out of house. Anyway I ask them what we need to do since they were not going to take all our stuff. They said they would fill truck full if we paid them cash outa pocket and we were in a bind so we paid them another 1700 dollars cash just to fill truck full which was totally wrong and we were in a bind so we did it because we didn’t have a choice. So they filled truck and still couldn’t get our stuff in that Penske truck. So they left with the 1700 cash bribe. Charter van lines did not send a big enough truck to start with. So we paid charter van lines around 5400 plus pay these guys 1700 cash. Now we have a bunch more stuff that Charter van lines said we could fit in that truck that the movers would only fill half full and bribe us so they could get more money from us. So we had to rent a large U-Haul truck to load rest of stuff that was supposed to fit. The U-Haul truck rental was 900 dollars plus gasoline for the trip from Georgia to Illinois so we had to spend over 8000 dollars plus fuel and hotel for the trip. Also the guys were Smoking pot before they came and was High on pot when they unloaded our stuff. I could smell it and they tore our leather couch moving it in new house. Overall a terrible experience and charter van lines never once followed up to see how move was. We ended up spending 4-5 thousand dollars more to move. I will be reporting this to BBB. The cash bribe or we won’t fill truck was totally wrong. Marty

   Lies and No Assistance When Needed

   I hired Charter to move me to PA. I spoke to Alex B. I was told 1 price and then because he didnt do his job, the movers wanted to charge me Another $900 to complete the job. Alex did not give me enough space for my belongings. I gave him a written list of all the property to move and apparently he did not read it. Today I had to rent a uhaul to move my stuff. I called Charter and the manager hung up on me. She was very rude. Yes, I was upset and said a choice word. All I want was the payment for the uhaul returned to me. Now because of this I do not have enough funds to pay anything else needed. I have gone for 2 mos with limited food because I was Saving for this move. I am worse off now than before. I called Mr. GRAY the VP of customers to speak with him about the matter. I am waiting for his call. I live on a limited income and cannot do this. I am disabled and a Vetetan. Alex talked me out of the company I was going to use. This man owes me an explanation and apology. The company owes me money and refuses to pay. Date of initial contact 11/18/2023. Deposit of 669.68 pd via cc. Remaining balance of 912.33 given to drivers at pickup. Bal due at drop off 912.00. Cost of uhaul rental (11/29/2023) 219.87, helper fee 50.00. Now they say if I put my stuff in storage for 30 days, it will cost me another 300.00 for dlvry. Alex said it would not cost me anything. Im in a huge delima. I need help.

   Buyer Beware

   Do not book with this company. Booked a month in advance and was promised a flawless move. Did not get my items for over 30 days. They subbed out the move to a horrrible company who never answered the phone and delayed the move for weeks. NEVER AGAIN. They were horrible to work with and delayed, delayed, delayed!

   Absolutely ridiculous

   I have moved 17 times in my life and I have never seen such a disorganized, unprofessional mess. The pick up team missed three deadlines, finally arriving 45 minutes late after the last one at 9:15 pm. Now we've received an email saying that instead of delivering our property today (Friday) by noon, as promised, they won't arrive until noon Monday. Given their track record, I doubt they'll make this deadline, either. Avoid this company and save yourself the aggravation.

    NOT TO BE TRUSTED

    This place is a scam and the office is a bunch of snakes and crooks. They don't actually move anything. They'll quote you a lowball price and charter with some other company that will overcharge and take weeks and weeks to deliver your belongings. The office staff is entirely useless and there no avenue for recompense for feeding customers boldfaced lies. Terrible, warm your friends and family. They are NOT TO BE TRUSTED!
