   Move from Illinois to Florida.

   I have to applaud Copher Movers they sent professionals that packed, loaded and moved our household belongings into storage. It was 3 months later we found our home in Florida we called and all of our belongings were then moved to Florida. Everything was perfect! I would highly recommend this company.

   Our movers were Awesome. They were early which was great. Very friendly. I would recommend Copher. Took everything apart and put it back together. Sorry I don't remember there names. And it was worth every penny.

   We found your company browsing the Internet and we were so happy with the services. George, John and Wally were very polite, hardworking young men. They handled our furniture carefully and efficiently. Great care was taken to prevent any damage to our possessions. They worked great as a team that made things run smoothly. They did their job well and I a timely manner. We highly recommend this team for making your move go smoothly. Ed, you have some top-notch employees!

   I just recently moved with Copher Movers and Storage and they made everything very easy for me. I was going to do it myself but I'm glad I hired professionals. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.The movers are very professional, courteous and efficient. They made sure all of my possessions were well taken care of. They were on time and set up everything they way I wanted them to. They even gave me better ideas on where to put my items. The ladies in the office helped a lot too. They answered all my questions without me having to even ask them.

You remember she has a serious Multiple Sclerosis Problem, and we of the St. Vincent De Paul Society were trying to help her as she was being evicted from her home you gave us a great price which we appreciated. In her thank you notes you are the best mover and crew Thanks again!

   Horrible service.

   Honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would. I reached out to Copher Movers (an agent for Wheaton Van Lines) to get a quote on our move from Aruora, IL to Dallas, TX. I sent in a brief inventory of our belongings and was given an estimate and I was told that if I allowed the company to come do an in-person survey of our things, they would send a not-to-exceed estimate afterwards. I agreed, and Ed Copher came out to do the survey. He said I would have the quote either that evening or first thing the next morning. 3 days later, I still had not received anything so I contacted Copher again looking for my not-to-exceed estimate and they sent it over a few hours later. The estimate stated that we had roughly 2100 lbs of belongings and the price for loading, transportation, and unloading would be $3,630.00 (plus an additional $200 for insurance with a $0 deductible). I thought it was a little high but I saw the value in not having to load up, drive, and unload a truck myself so 6 days after receiving the quote I returned it signed. A few hours after receiving my signed agreement, Jaime Copher emailed me to let me know that there had been a “mistake” in their computer system and that we actually had roughly 4,400 lbs of belongings and the actual price would be $5,369.42. Woahhh, wait a minute! How did the weight of my belongings all of a sudden more than double and I am being charged $1,739.42 more than my original estimate that was supposed to be NOT TO EXCEED and that I had already agreed to?! I expressed my frustration to Jaime and said that I thought it would only be right for them to honor the original estimate seeing as I had already agreed to that price. They refused to honor the original price and said there was nothing they could or would do about it. I then reached out to Wheaton Van Lines to see if they would be willing to help since Copher Movers was one of their Agents. I spoke with Todd Emerick, a Director at Wheaton and he said that he understood my concerns and asked that I give him some time to make a few calls and see what happened. I agreed and was thankful that it finally sounded like someone would be willing to help. Todd called back a few hours later and said that he was agreeing with Copher and that they would not be honoring the price. What?!?! He said that he thought it was fair that Ed Copher had agreed to “eat” nearly $500 of the revised price (Nobody ever offered that to me) and said there was nothing he could do. These guys have horrible customer service and the fact that they refuse to honor a CONTRACT is absurd. I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for your moving needs. You’ll only find disappointment here.

   Do NOT use this company!!

   We just had the worst moving experience with Copher Movers! We called them to ask about their cost and Chuck, the owner told us that it cost $138 per hour for 3 guys and there is two hours minimum. We asked if there are any other charges like driving cost and he said absolutely not as they are just couple of miles away from the place where we were moving in. 3 guys arrived at 9.45am and they were done by 11.05am, and when it came to bill they said there is a 3 hours minimum at $138 per hour and additional driving charge of $138. Which is pretty much double the quote we got. We told the guys that there is some kind of misunderstanding and called Chuck who denied everything. Companies like that should not be in business because he pretty much lied about the price to get our business and then overcharged us. As far as service, 3 guys moving slowly, wasting time on their cell phones, carrying one piece of luggage at a time. At some point I started helping them because I wanted the service for two hours which was supposed to be the minimum. I put myself 3 luggages on a cart and asked if one of the guys can take it and he looked at me as if I was crazy. They were definitely wasting time and I had to help because they would never finish. Anyway, I just want you to be aware of the owner of this company lying about prices over the phone to get your service. The guys will arrive at you place and make you sign paper so that they can start working and then price will double! The owner will deny previously given price! If you must use them, request something in writing before they even start the job!

   Bad experience with mover.

   Highly recommend to NEVER use Copher Movers. I was clearly told that if I gave them 2 weeks notice my items would arrive on time. I gave Ed Copher 2 months notice and my things were 13 days late. What is worse that after several days of Copher not returning my phone calls, he constantly lied for days about when my things were picked up from storage to get on the truck. Additionally, the company didn't have the professionalism to apologize or compensate me with any kind of discount. Copher movers is the reason why people don't like movers. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND I WOULD SAY DON'T TRUST THEM. There are several other moving companies available for a better option.

   Rip off.

   I was quoted 300.00 and charged 380.00 I moved from a storage facility in the same town I was moving to it was about five blocks away if that. And they charged me 80.00 traveling fees and when I got quoted they said they would put any furniture I needed back together and the men told me they couldn't do so cause they had an other job. I explained to them that it was only a bed and mirror to put together but they couldn't. I moved on februray 19, 2011. I also got charged for them taking from what I caught two cigarette breaks. I will not use them again nor refer them to anyone after they didn't do as they said price wise nor product wise. But I will use movers again just need to find the right and honest company.

    Would not suggest using Copher.

    I used Copher last month to move and terrible customer service doesn't not do them justice. Ed promised to come out to my home to days before my move to see how much I had to move. He never showed and when I called him he didn't answer..I should have known right there this wasn't going to be good. I have never moved on my own before so I was unaware of a lot of things, but Ed assured me on the phone that I would be charged one flat fee of $320 for two men and a truck. Well let me tell you, two poorly dressed, unprofessional men with a small truck and $500 dollars later I was shown that this company is not all it's hyped up to be. The short of it is, according to his workers, Ed promises all the time to customers that he will come survey their items and doesn't show. So these guys show up with a truck that's too small so some of my items had to be left behind and two additional vehicles had to be loaded to the top. There was to be no travel fee..I got charged an hour travel fee, which was already included in my time supposedly. The two men got lost getting to my home and without my parents guiding them to my new home they would have gotten lost getting here as well. Speed, not their motto. They took their time, hanging out and chatting, carrying one small item at a time in certain instances. When I called Ed to question the extra charge he argued with me, yelled at me, and hung up on my mother when I was too angry to continue to speak to him. Short of it, this company is run by a liar and a thief. Don't use them, you will regret it. I know I am since I'm $180 poorer because of it.
