   A great move!

   When my husband and I made the drastic decision of retiring to Polk County, Florida from New York City---the first part of our journey began with long hours of research for affordable, reliable and professional movers. Our friends and family warned us about the many cons and risks of contracting a moving company. We were strongly advised that hauling our own belongings was the ONLY secure way to transport our furnishings. Not only were we relocating during the worse pandemic in the history of the US, but we were apprehensive about choosing the right company. Well, I am happy to announce that our story has a happy ending. Our extensive research and scrutiny paid off. FRAGILE MOVING INCORPORATED eased our fears and assured us that we would not be disappointed. Their team of experts picked up, disassembled, wrapped and provided us with a complete inventory. We were pleasantly surprised when we received the notification letting us know that our MOVERS were arriving as expected. Once again, our furniture was assembled and placed where indicated. We would definitely recommend their services to our friends and family. Kudos to Fragile Moving and their team!

   Honest workers, Affordable price !

   The guys here are some of the most honest and considerate movers I've dealt with. The quote they initially gave me sounded to good to be true, but being on a budget I took a leap of faith. The guys were real professional and very helpful. We moved cross country and had lots of worries but the guys took care of everything accordingly. Trust worthy, affordable, and professional in my opinion describe these movers.. I would recommend to anyone moving especially cross country.

   MOVER BEWARE

   We hired this moving company (New Leaf) who contracts with other companies and assigned us to a company called Fragile Moving. This company is anything but Fragile. We were moving from NYC to FL. We were told 15 days max. It was a little longer. When they finally arrived, most of my boxes were crushed, my furniture was chipped and bent. They brought someone else’s cushion while they left the doors to my curio cabinet. After multiple attempts to contact the company, we were informed that the glass door to our cabinet were broken. After some back and forth, we get the information from the claim company CSI PROS. We filed a claim for a measly $100 when we paid the moving company over 4K because they nickel and dime for everything. Our claim was denied. Not only does the cabinet have sentimental value (it belonged to my husband’s deceased mother), but when we entrusted this “Fragile” Moving with our stuff, it was all in good condition when we got it back, not so much. Pay a little extra and go elsewhere. Trying to save money ends up being more expensive in the long run.

   BE AWARE! I didn't directly pick Fragile Moving to do my move. I hired Purple Heart who then hired Fragile Moving to help me move from Boston- Miami. In my life, I moved 20+ times and never have I had such a terrible experience. Overall, paid for packing of fragile which were not even wrapped (the irony in the company name still make me cringe); 5 of 6 wood furniture items arrived broken (e.g. legs, frames, etc). Every box had a least one broken item in it. Seems to me they dropped or rough handled much of the boxes when it was going in and out of storage because it took over a month to get to the destination. Don't be fooled. Do your research - there is ample of very critical reviews for this company out there. It might be okay in price but not worth it. It will cost you a lot more later when you are trying to fix or re-buy all the broken items. Pay more upfront and go with another company all together. Also, check out their insurance handlers. They go through a third party and it will leave you with no resource at the end of the day. I want to let you know, I filed an insurance claim and decide not to take the $160 payout (for thousands in damages) so I have nothing to lose. I already lost it and a hundred dollars isn't going to make it up. So don't make the same mistake.

   Move from RI to Florida.

   Contracted thru Purple Heart Moving who gave me a quote $1879 on moving day quote went up to $4965.00 I had to be out of the house so I accepted the new cost. 1. Non professional mover twisted a bedroom lamp glass shade even after I told him it doesn't come off he replied yes it does lamp was put in box unable to have it fixed. 2. Curio cabinet with glass doors was wrapped with moving blanket and cardboard of course it was shoved into truck curved glass was broken and handles twisted off cost to repair $948.00 3. $5000 sofa material was torn ashamed to put it in den hid it in my bedroom 4. Hardware was lost on $4000 glass table and glass chipped. All in all they use contract truckers and help to move your goods I only had them move 1500 lbs of furniture. I could have done a better job myself. I do not recommend these movers.

   Fragile Moving.

   I thought that Purple Heart would sent movers that care about people that serve in the military but they sent people that will jack the amount of money from moving from New York to Florida and then tell you that the delivery date is from 3 to 10 days. They tell you that they first will call you and then make excuse that they had problem with the truck or that they have another place to drop another delivery before your. They are charging me from $3,500 dollars and jump to almost $6,000 to receive my delivery which I am still waiting for. As for Purple Heart Mr.Donavan or who is involved thank for not giving a call.    Poor moving experience.

   The administrative staff were polite, but only 95% of my belongings arrived to the destination, and they could never locate the missing items, which happened to be the most valuable boxes with electronic equipment. I may never trust a moving company again, as they were not helpful in trying to locate lost items afterward, either.
